Color: Black, of course
This thing clearly does its job. I can put my Juliet's in there and toss them in a bag and not think twice about them until I pull them back out and they're just as perfect as they were when they went in.

It's a little bulky, but then again so are Juliet's, but that's what you need for superb sculptural styling.

The logo on the top of my case, which I assume is made of X-Metal, broke. There are several inherent points in the design where the metal is very thin and is subjected to odd stresses, and it broke along two of them. So that's disappointing, and makes me wonder if x-metal is really as indestructible as I'd been led to believe. But there's no thin points or bizarre stresses on my Juliet's so I think it's ok

I could probably send it back and get it fixed but it doesn't affect the function, and I'd rather not be without my soft vault while they fix it, so broken it stays. I can identify it from all the other x-metal soft vaults I run into every day. haaahaha.

Very nice for travel. You can fit your X Metals in them securely and pack them for any trip. The logo on the top of the case is also cool.

Color: Black

Perfect for the X-Metal series and anything smaller you don't mind getting banged around inside. The X on the outside lets people know they aren't just any Oakleys. My case has kept my Juliets and lenses in great shape for the last few years. Less of a profile in your bag and more for real world use than a metal vault, although the metal vault also doubles for display.
TERRORISM -
The X-Metal Soft Vault is actually constructed from a rigid nylon material and offers a great alternative to the standard X-Metal Vault (metal). Adorned with the X-Metal logo on the top/center, this protective piece of equipment also weighs very little, making transport very easy.
BiGCoB -
This vault is by far more practical than the X-metal metal vault.
While the X-metal hard vault can't go go everywhere due to his shape, the soft one will find a place in all your bags. It will ensure a secured place for your precious X-Metals in all condition. It will also be able to accept other size of glasses which won't fit in the regular vaults like Scar's, Eye Jacket 2.0, etc... or smaller ones, but you'll better choose the good size of vault to not get your glasses moving constantly if the vault is too large.
Thanks to the zip, the X-metal soft vault will keep closed in any condition.
With respect to the durability, I've been using mine for 3 years now and he is still like new. So son't worry about this, even if it's not metal, it's build to resist.
DoctorCrip -
Though slightly more convenient than its metal counterpart, this Vault doesn't scream Oakley nor does it seem as protective. Either way, it still gets 5 skulls in my book.

X-metal soft Vault - great for over night traveling

X-metal Vault - A must for any special edition X-metal or for display, this vault (case) does Not let down*

*ive had mine for 8or9 years now, beach, snow, super heated in car from being in the sun all day, ive got 3 of them, i dont take any chances =]
vindicator -
Got them for my Juliets since day 1. I actually get vaults along with each pair I buy, that way, I know my Oakleys are well protected.

I've heard of the paint in the X Metal icon chipping off, so I'm taking good care of my vaults. 4 stars for this flaw.

But still, the most important part is that they take care of what's inside.
idealoakley -
This is the perfect compliment to OAKLEY's finest pair of glasses. it looks good and even better.....it protects your JULIET's very well without taking up too much room in your pocket. It is large enough to store your shades but small enough that it is easy to take with you where ever you go.
LukePhillips -
Very solid construction, Im never worried about smashing the glasses inside. Wish it were a tad bigger though. You have to make sure to line the glasses up right so you can zip it all the way up. My X icon hasnt broken yet after about a month of use. Ive taken care of it after hearing about some of them breaking. Good sturdy case thats ALOT easier to haul around than the hard vault. Just wish it wasnt $35 freakin bucks.
Harry in Poland -
Could do with being slightly firmer (hence only 4 stars) but so could all the soft vaults. One of the things I really like about it is that it's big enough to fit a small soft vault or an oo vault inside it (without the Juliets obviously) so you can carry two pairs of glasses and two cases but while you're wearing the Juliets you only have one case taking up pocket space. The case can also fit a pair of half jackets and two spare pairs of lenses inside their microbags. The spare lenses will also fit with the pair of Juliets inside. With two pairs of glasses and a total of four lens options you should be pretty much set for any light conditions!
Star-Scream -
They need to make it slightly bigger and not charge such ridiculous prices for something like a sunglass case. Stupid Oakley doens't even give you one free if you buy hella expensive shades. Hella shady. It needs to fit the Micro bag with the sunglasses in it.

Color: Black w/ X-Metal logo

Great case and protection for your sunglasses. I like the fact that its round making it easy to fit into the glove box, bookback, or even jacket pocket. Hold its shape well and can withstand some abuse without damaging your sunglasses.
TheVault -
Strong and stylish with the X Metal plastic logo on the top, the second choice for people who prefer lighter vaults to protect their X-Metal.

I love them, but prefer the X Metal vaults.
edge2lyfe -
Good case, nice and rigid but could be just a tad longer for the Juliets. The hinge side ends of the temples are right there at the zipper.
Ijon__Tichy -
This one is a must-have if you like x-metals or/and the new, big fashionline releases like the Eye Patch, Oil Drum etc. because they only fit well in the x-metal vault.

The only neg. point is that the "X-Metal"-sign loses paint very easy.
siberyan -
A very good vault to protect your X metal. It is a a litlle too big for carrying around, but don't have other alternative. Recommended.
tonelam21 -
I love this more than the X-Metal Vault. It is more useable. I carry it everywhere i go to protect my glasses.
strake -
They are a more sensible case than the metal vault for bringing your X metal around. They fit the Juliets, Romeo, and X Metal XX the best. Mine was partially burnt in an unfortunate accident but it protected my Juliet which was inside. I got a replacement soon after. Although expensive, it would take a very brave man to deny an X metal a good protective case.

A word of advice is that the Romeo 2 will be better cased in a large vault. This X metal vault allows to much movement inside for my liking. Also, avoid placing them on dashboards as they encourage break-ins and thefts. 4 stars because this should have been something provided for every X metal purchased.
Rick -
Wow, I think I just paid double the US retail price for this case in Japan, but I needed it since the Metal Vault is a little big to truck around town with. This is a great alternative to the Metal Vault and keeps your glasses safe and sound. Love the X-Metal raised-logo.
U9Ly_KwaN -
Good: A very nice protective case for your Oakley shade & seems durable enough.. It is cheaper, lightweight and smaller compared to the X-Metal Hard case Vault but can still give the protection that X-Metal Hard Vault offers, only slightly less. This is the 2nd option to protect your valuable Oakley X-Metal, or even other models as this can fit most!

Bad: It uses zip, not as hard as the X-Metal Metal Vault, the logo can get rusty eventually if not taken care of properly.. like mine :(
jamestcheung -
Nice shape, functional and durable but expensive for what it is (you would think that X-metals would come with one of these as standard, right?). Not as nice as the Vault but infinitely more practical when travelling.
wingsdjy -
The case serves its purpose, but at $30, I would expect a slightly harder shell. Also, the X-Metal logo on the top can crack way too easily. If you really want to protect your shades and aren't too concerned with lightweight portability, get the hard Vault instead.
filmetal -
This is a perfect case for juliet & penny that you can carry around. The shape is cool, the size is somewhat bulky but it served its purpose. I always have one in the car and in the office, so its always there whenever I take off my juliet. On downside, romeo won't fit in it.
travee -
Only case that I could find that would fit my Juliets. It's a little to much for a carrying case but I already shelled out the money for the Juliets so you have to protect them. Nice looking case but it would have been more practical if they made it smaller so you could fit it into your pocket. Pretty solid and I would think it would protect from a hard impact.
jumpman73 -
This is a cool case. It is kind of difficult to put your Romeo's in here. I feel like it is a little stressful on them. But for everything else it fits good.
junfatt -
Don't really think they are suitable for Romeo, a promoter trying to show me this solf case suitable for Romeo. But after few minutes, she still can't zip up, I told her I won't have a consideration for buying this... I doubt either they are durable???
dmc -
Stupidly expensive through official Canadian distribution channels at CAD$60 apiece, but still the only thing that I can confidently pack a pair of Juliets away in. A "3" out of necessity, but in any currency, unnecessarily pricey.
Jay_X_Bee -
Color: Black.

The case for the X-metals. Big enough for a X-metal XX or a Romeo.
Nice logo on top.
Comatose -
A little pricey, but heck.. u shelled out a few bones for x-metals, this is one must have complimentary accessory.

Stores the glasses great. Great construction, tho Im not particularly fond of the use of stick-on cloth patches in the inside to cover up the zipper joints.
Smallkid -
Great case! Fits a pair of Juliets perfectly! Definitely a great product, worth every cent I paid
oogie -
My overall pick for best case. A must-have for any x-metal ... and it's surprising to find out how many other styles don't fit well in the other "regular" sized cases. I have two of these...I think I need them both!

Color: Black
One of the smartest purchases I've made. This thing is great. It protects my X-Metals from pretty much everything. Although the 'true X-Metal logo' feels a lot more like plastic, it still doesn't detract a five star rating.

Color: Black

A great case that's functioned for me for several years. I always store my beater Juliets in them and it does the job well. Unfortunately, it's a tight fit for my Romeos, but I'm not complaining about that too much.

Careful of the true metal 'X-Metal' icon on the top. It's weak in the center and can easily bend and snap.

i agree with o-xide...the x metal logo is awesome! a great case for protecting x metals.

Color: black
this thing is amazing. Doesnt matter what I do I know that between the build quality and durability of my Juliets and the toughness of this I dont need to worry.
Only gripe is the little cloth circles did come loose which exposed the zipper to the inside of your case. Didnt expect to have to do a DIY repair job on a brand new case which most other sunglass manufacturers give away FREE with their sunglasses just to be sure the case you bought to protect your glasses wasnt going to scratch the lenses. (note: I have had to do this with both my small soft vaults also)

Color: Black
I like the ballistic look. The size is big enough to fit any Oakeys you got. The true X-Metal logo sold it to me
LEX7 -
Color:Black

Just like the large soft Vault but slightly bigger with a very cool X-metal Logo on the top of the case.
great fit for all the X-metals but not the Romeos they are a little too big.
great for monster dogs too.

Alot more practical than the X-metal vault becuase it is lighter and smaller.

Color: Black

This is a must for anyone who owns a pair of X Metal frames. I have always had a vault for any pair of Oakley's that I have owned and they are worth their weight in gold. Superb protection for your Oakley investment.

Color:
I bought this case with my Romeos but switched to the X-metal vault when I discovered it. This case now houses my Trenchcoats which fit very well. Still a great case.

Color: Black
Bought these along with my Juliet's in 2000. Has held up well enough, the material on the inside however gets a bit worn and can get caught in the zip. The X-Metal logo on the front is still in one piece however the paint started wearing off very early on, not that it matters, looks pretty cool with the steel showing through. I think with my next X-Metals I'll get the metal vault.

Another great Soft Vault from Oakley. Great looking and very functional. I have found this to be the best case if you own Eye Jacket 2.0.
