Does that include your Oakley retailer ? ^_^

Can someone remind me are Tour releases usually limited and tough to get? - yelkao

Judging by the quantity of Tour de France pair you can find in the -50% regularly on o.com, they might not be.
But special models like Kato might be.

I love to see how Peter has been really active on sharing about Oakley lately.
Still not sure about the motivation behind, but good to learn insider information anyway.

I wish he would have started sharing on O-Review, rather than FB and IG, where the information tends to get lost after a few days.

Oh I didn't see it.
Nice, indeed. Sizing to be confirmed :) - BiGCoB

- inkkoonce

Thank you :)
Quite similar to a Deadbolt then (2 less mm on the nose).
Nice!

Yep, I'm liking Holbrook Ti and Terrigal. Glad to see Deadbolt is still going to be around as well. - yelkao

Im a fan of the deadbolt as well. Its probably one of the better wires they've done in a while. I'm just not a fan of the price of the deabolt...lol

I kinda like how the Terrigal has a trigger like arm to it. Like a Warden but more modern. - MicahS

Still some Deadbolt at 50% off on Oakley.com europe, and some at 30% off on Oakley.com US ;)

Red Hydrogen One as the omnipresent phone in Don't look up movie.
Happy and sad at the same time.
Great phone (even with all the flaws) gone too soon :/
- BiGCoB

I still use mine to watch videos on Youtube and it is still in perfect condition. I regret that there is no future for him, the story was short, it's sad. - paquit0

You still haven't used the underwater case ?

Anyone a fan of “vintage” cell phones? I bring this up here because it was discussed on this page and the previous. I’m getting back into them, and I’m constantly reminded of HOW FUN PHONES USED TO BE.

I do draw some parallels between what fans are complaining about with Oakley’s current design language and the current smart phone market. Most popular smart phones look very much the same; they’re simply slabs with a touch screen in front, whether an iPhone, Galaxy or Pixel. Not very inspired IMO (though the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 and Monohm's Runcible are pretty slick).

Have a look at phones from 10-20 years back and you will see some wacky, crazy, fun designs. Things slid open, things popped open, things flipped around, screens turned around, unique shapes of all sorts were abundant, etc. Such cool unique stuff.

But other than myself and a relatively small number of avid collectors, no one really wants that shit any more. The simple, clean smart phone design and ever increasing functionality is popular and what most everyone want. Much like the current Oakley market.

Oh well.
- Oak

I used to keep all my obsolete phones, but I recently did a purge and everything went to recycling, sadly.
- Nokia 3210 - classic
- Nokia 3310 - classic
- Nokia 8310 - very good at the time, but not as classic as the 3x10 series
- Samsung D500 - Interesting slide up design (not the first, though)
- iPhone 3Gs - classic
then it was all cheap smartphones :
- Asus zenfone 2
- Honor 8
- ...
until the Red Hydrogen One

All of them got pretty heavily abused.
So they wouldn't have been good for collection, anyway.

The only one I'll keep even after it's retired is the Red Hydrogen One.

Nothing fancy, but I've wanted those for a long time.
Took advantage of the 50% off.

Just bought a nice iridium visor for my helmet.
I wanted to be 100% legal on the road when sun sets and any other iridium visor with tinted base is not allowed at night time.

Shark Helmets make those clear base iridium visors, homologated for night time and they are amazing. It almost looks like a ruby clear Oakley lens.

Where and when?! - yelkao

Apparently the plan is Week 44 drop which would be 2 weeks from now if that's still happening. Can confirm that US pricing is $410, I just checked the SKU in our system. - hexesonxs

Do we know how limited these will be? I’d hate to see like 100 made and then see them sell out in a few seconds! - mlmguitar50

The limited number seems to be 2000 - O_taj1242

It really depends on how the polarized filters are built in the monitors.
I have two monitors in front of me right now.
One is 90° angle polarization, the other one is 45° and I guess I could find another one with 0° (or 180).
I wouldn't trust this quick test to define whether a lens is fake or not :)

The whole story might be true, or this might just be a fake lens :/
Hard to tell.

I still have mine, all beaten up. Thumbprint sensor still dead.
I've had a cracked screen protection that I don't even care replacing considering that a replacement one is a pain to get in switzerland.
And the back camera glass seems cracked also.
All corners paint is now gone.

I'm not taking 3D pictures anymore, and I'm not going on Holopix anymore either.
But I still use it and will still use it as long as it lives, or until I have to switch to something new for a software reason (security, criticial app not updating anymore ...). Then I'll keep it as a cool object in one of my Oakley displays :) - BiGCoB

Mine is sitting in my display case as well. I actually pulled it out to play with yesterday and the dam thing won’t take my PIN to boot up. I have used the same PIN on phones for years so I can’t imagine I forgot it. - Defenderoftheo

Maybe it just reset itself to the factory one ?
Have you tried it ?

Great piece of art. Your attention to details is amazing.
I wish I had only a small fraction of your talent.
What's your average price for a work like that ?
- BiGCoB

thanks, 250 dollars. I live in Lima Peru - larry_espino_Airbrush_Warriors

Looks like a fair price for the amount of work you must put into that.

Started downsizing earlier this year.
Ideally, I would love to be able to fit everything in one cabinet. But I know I won't have the heart to sell enough items to reach that goal.
So, I'm just selling "opportunistically", when I can get a good prive on something I don't mind selling.
