Very good cleaning bags. Always use the inner side for cleaning and wash regularly.

Color: Black, Bamboo, Multi colored dyed versions, Black Mini bags for replacement lenses

The original black bags are great and the Mini's are cool for storing my replacement lenses.

I have the Bamboo version with my Burnquist Gascans and it leaves all kinds of fibers all over the lense and frame (especially on the jet black) while cleaning so it now stays on display.

I have found the special, multicolored-dyed bags to not be as good for cleaning as the regular black and that they do more smudging than cleaning.

Hand wash for sure.

It's an all right bag. Good for storing the glasses in but it's not too good on getting the lenses clean. I'd stick with the lens cleaning kit.The bag just seems to smear whatever is on the lenses. However, the RX bag seems to do better...go figure

i prefer the older ones, the quality seemed better and softer, but i dont know another soft bag thats as good as the oakley ones. i prefer the original grey myself over the black.

What can I say? Perfect for cleaning any type of lens! The black ones are best, since they're easy to come by. I have a white one, a Soviet one, a brown one, and a snow camo one. The black ones seem to be the softest, and they clean smudges best. The goggle one is a must-have if you have goggles. You can never have too many microbags for cleaning or light storage.

Colors: Black/Black drawstring, Black/White drawstring, Black HDO tag/Black drawstring, Black HDO tag/White drawstring, Brown Square-O specific, Red Stretchline specific, White Os Ladies specific, White/Black drawstring (sold off cos stained), Black with large embossed HDO logo, Ducati-Oakley specific (sold off with Ducati MDs)

I possibly own/have owned the standard Oakley MF bag in every permutation possible (not including the old-skool era ones). They're great for protecting what's inside, but I find the cloth material generally a tad thin. And the sizes (and thicknesses) vary from bag to bag, I've found. I once had a small slight scratch on my new Eyepatch, even though they were in the microfiber bag, because I put them in a large ballistic soft vault (came with my Radars), but forgot to remove the "case made in china" sticker which was right where the lens was just so slightly scratched! Care for Oakleys takes a lot of trial and error, I've come to learn...

Also, they absolutely do not stand up to washing (with detergent) and if you scrub just a little hard, you can see the threads coming apart when you stretch the case open to fit the glasses. Basically very fragile. I don't exactly recommend cleaning lenses very enthusiastically with them too as well - check first for dust or lint of any kind, as they will certainly scratch those highly-scratchable Oakley lenses of yours. All said, they're an absolute must and necessity if you own any pair of Oakley shades.

I have an older one and some newer ones with the blakc drawstring. The newer ones are not as big and dont seem to clean as well. Still better than most anything else you can use though. Always good to keep a few of these around for smudges.

It's really a must have for your plutonite lenses. I have it always with me no matter where I go. However it should be washed very often, if not it smears the oil of your skin. The early versions are much better and softer than the newer ones. I don't know why this was necessary, but it's not the best call from Oakley.

I can't get enough of these red Microbags. In my opinion, since Oakley sunglasses all scream "look at me," the bag that I keep them in should as well - and the red one certainly does. Also, I prefer the older style with the standard black tag to the newer and smaller red tag since red with black is just such a slick color combination, plus it matches the black drawstring.

The best way to clean your Oakley glasses..
It comes really handy, but you're right Iwan, the tag is too big and troubled me sometime when I restore it on the soft vault..

But as usual, the bigger the "ICON" the better it looks.. :>
Iwan -
The tag is rather large and tends to get caught between the zipper of my soft case.
It's the only thing I can think of that hasn't been mentioned in the previous reviews.

they work very well for other optics like rifle scopes and things

I liked it when there was a few different sizes like for the m-frames, it was a huge bag, now its one size fits all

I love having these around. My house pretty much has one everywhere, the living room, bedroom, kitchen. I feel like these are the best things to use when you need a quick clean. Obviously thats what they were made for. When I can't carry a vault with me, these microbags go with me.

Good for general usage and for storing your glasses. However, the cloth that i bought for cleaning pc monitors and lcd's work better. Protection is a problem as well. it is convenient to use though.

I could probably upholster a large couch with the amount of microfiber bags I own. They are quite simply the best bet for keeping your glasses clean and safe while out and about. I use a large goggle bag to tote my glasses around in so I can keep my new bags pristine. I don't use the bags to clean my glasses because they can pick up dirt, lint, and other small particles that can end up scratching your lenses. Something to think about. I prefer the white-cord bags since they are a bit bigger and more versatile than the black-cord ones. Recent bags seem to be made of a thinner and less durable consistency. I prefer the older bags.

Great looking bags, love the material, it does an outstanding job at protecting/cleaning your lens.

Try to keep them away from dirt and like its been said always clean the lens with the interior of the bag.

Those bags can be washed with a mild soap in the washing machine without any problem.

Theyre good for cleaning, but for storage I will always opt for something more solid.

i have so many lyin around its not funny. i thought of making a microbag quilt. that would be sweet. very good product have to wash em' every 3 months or so. or i do. because they loose their cleanin' power...

Very normal sunglasses bag. Nothing in special, but as they come together with the glasses, are useful. But make sure to buy a case, these bags aren't enough

I love these bags. I never leave home without it. Very useful when it comes to cleaning your glasses.

My 1st gen M frames bag was quite the work horse both case and cleaner. It worked well on both counts and eventually I got cases. However the bags with my later frames (wires and others) had bags that didn't seem to really clean as well.

Love the simplicity of it all and utility of it.
I only use them on the go, not at home, where i use a larger microfiber cloth.
strake -
I like them for the fact that my glasses are never scratched when they are housed inside these bags. They provide great convenience for those without a microfiber cloth. If you are without a vault, layering the sunglasses using two bags will provide sufficient impact protection.

Great in keeping my Oakley's nice and clean. I have to agree with everyone here that indeed the old ones clean a lot better then the newer ones.
banarno -
The older generation of microbags was a far superior microfiber material than the new ones.
Super for removing dust and light smudges too.

A staple in the Oakley world. Old bags = good. New bags = bad.

The classic Oakley bags, very important for keeping the Os in tip top shape. I find the older generation better for cleaning smudges than the newer ones, but nonetheless they offer a great way of protecting and cleaning the lenses. Important to note that the bag should be washed every so often to remove grease/dirt.

The newer ones can sometimes struggle to shift really greasy marks but otherwise they work perfectly. Have got a couple of well used bags where the stiching has come apart around the drawstring but they're still in one piece and seeing regular service.

The bag is good for storing your glasses but bad for cleaning. It leave streak behind when I use it to clean my lens. I use other microfiber cloth, it leave no streak. But I guess it'll do the job to remove stain when you are on the go and you don't have a cloth handy.

Why dont all sunglasses brands come with these great bags.
I never seperate the glasses from the bag.
the bag is all you need to clean your oakleys, unless you have some really big mark or something then I recommend some heavy breaths to.

I dont know why the white goggle bags are made out of a different material cos its not nearly as good.

I used this to wipe the lenses and it works out very very well. I also use it with my Sony Clie TH-55 PDA and this Microbag keeps it spanking new.

This item is currently exclusive to the Stretchline glasses Warden and Fatcat. It's just great to see a new color after 10 years of Grey and Black. I hope to see more colors in the future.

It's amazing to see a different Micro Bag for the first time thinking that were possibly always just one color. I had had both small Pink and Blue bags with my first Frogskins. Large White had come with old Razor Blades. Then everything started coming in Grey with the classic OAKLEY stitched in Blue, small with black string and large with white string. When the Zero line appeared the had intro'd a medium size bag in Grey w/ white string with the original logo in grey and then the Stretch logo. After that all the bags went Black as we see them now with the Icon tag. This is a great addition to get with every pair of Oakley's and many other sunglass companies had started included them with their products as well - Arnette, Dragon, Bolle, Anarchy - but never to the quality of Oakley's. Granted they don't offer the protection a hard case would and they are ideal for cleaning the lens if you don't abuse the bag. A hard case is always recommended and just keep the bag in the case.

These bags are handy. You're sure to never smudge or scratch your lenses when they're safely stored in one of the microbags. They also tend to self clean to a point while storing glasses. I've found other clothes to be somewhat better, but these are the only way to store your glasses while not in use. Remember to only clean your lenses with the inside, as the outer part gets dirty and can scratch as much as a shirt tail.
