Frame: White
Lens: Titanium Iridium Polarized

I bought the white with G30 at first but ended up not liking G30 and put in Titanium Iridium Polarized lenses instead. The Crosshair fits great, its not too heavy, and the ear socks aren't too big so it doesn't stick to your head when you try to take them off, but will still hold on your face if your playing or some other activity. The lenses are a perfect shape, not too big like the aviator.

The white frame does kind of look like a custom job, but i think thats what i like most about it, my only complaint would be Oakley once again putting a white icon on a white frame, it looks nice, but a chrome icon would be much better.

Titanium Iridium is the best lens for the Crosshair in my opinion. Way better than black iridium because titanium is a high contrast lens, it pick up colors and shapes a lot better than black iridium which is neutral. Plus the Titianium has a very nice mirrored effect when in bright sunlight, so you can barely see your eyes through the glasses, which i know is an issue with a lot of people.

So people if u wanna buy a Oakley DON'T BUY THE DUCATI SERIES, my girlfriend's RIDDLE scratched the icon too!!

Frame: Titanium
Lens: Titanium Iridium Polarized

Trying on the regular Crosshairs in a store, I thought the shape was awesome, but the weight was too much. After discovering that the same frames were available in a lighter material, I ordered the Titanium version straight away. The lighter version does not disappoint; it's comfortable and stunningly beautiful.

The frame fits very well, and has a subtle grip better than previous wires I've tried. It stays on without being bothersome. These will be my casual frames going forward, while my Half Jackets will do workout duty while I cycle and run.
Plan-B -
Frame: Silver Ducati
Lens: Black Iridium

I'll start off by saying that I've never been a big fan of "aviator" style sunglasses. I've always felt that they looked way to old and stuffy. So the Crosshairs were never in my... uh... crosshairs when it came to adding to my Oakley fleet. I was at one of my local O Stores a few weeks ago because I wanted to pick up my 2nd pair of Canteens (was eyeing the Rust/VR28 combo) and the bright red Icons of the Ducati Crosshairs caught my attention. I tried them on and when I looked in the mirror, I realized that these didn't look as old or stuffy as I used to think. Leave it to Oakley to really modernize a classic design. In the end, it was the red Icon and red earsocks that made me a convert.

I did have to spend a lot of time working the earstems before they became comfortable enough for me to wear. The bend that's supposed to make them work with headsets pinched into my temples and made them a bit painful on me. After a bit of trial and error (as well as nearly burning myself a few times), I finally got them to fit reasonably comfortably.

Frame/Lens: Matte Black/Black Iridium Polarized, Pewter/Amber Black Iridium Polarized (replacement lenses), Titanium Burnt Copper/VR28 Black Iridium Polarized.

I didn't like these at all when they came out, but now they're one of my favourite designs. The regular frames are solid and quite weighty, but they give great coverage and fit well on me (quite a large head). Although the shape is described as 'aviator' these are not your father's aviator sunglasses. The shape is quite unique. The arms grip quite well - because of the crank in them they tend to contact the temples, but I don't find that uncomfortable. Others may find they grip too tightly.

The Ti frames are a lot lighter, as expected, and much springier than the regular ones. I'm not sure which I prefer - they both have their good points. With either frame they fit so snugly and stay put so well that I just forget I'm wearing them.

My favourite lens in these is the Amber Black Iridium Pol which is a crazy lens - very high contrast and cuts the glare too.

Black chrome frame with ruby clear iridium.
I'm at a loss for words to describe how downright sexy these sculpted beauties look in black chrome!
When folded on the shelf, the reflections from the myriad angles of the earstems create sparkles and flares of colour...
I've not seen a light show like it since the '70s!!
These sculpted wires are an endless joy to look at. They are light, and feel rigid and comfortable on the face. The lenses are rather large, the squared-oval lens shape is an acquired taste suiting a bigger face, but they give excellent wrap/coverage for such a stylish pair of glasses.
The Oakley "O" is pierced through the earstems, adding an elegant focal point. A carbon fiber "O" would look oh so cool...

Lens: Amber black iridium polarized

I somehow feel that I have commited a blasphemy, since just a few months ago,I couldn't even think wearing anything else than a square wire as a formal pair of oakleys, but I couldn't resist to the crosshair.Oakley's take on the aviator design is extraordinary, and they really look like heavy duty industrial grade machines. It's obvious that nothing can destroy these things, since they're thick and rigid. But they're elegant too, while they keep elements from other renowned oakleys. The earstems are pure romeo and x metal xx,and the squared aviator orbital patern is round where it's supposed to be,and squared also whered it's supposed to be.It normally compliments round/oval faces like mine, but I thing that the crosshairs will look good on anybody. The fit is really good and tight, but unlike the titanium counterparts, they do squeeze a lot after a few hour on the head, and this is really annoying,if you consider that as a rather casual pair they should be more convenient. You aint gonna run on the track with these.Another disadvantage is that their earstems are short compared to older oakleys,up to the point that the earsocks just manage to touch my head, otherwise they would be totally useless. These shades are a good reason to make a deviaton from the classical stuff and buy something newer, but for the last two disadvantages, specially the squeze,I'll give them a 3.But they are pretty, and the coverage is great nevertheless.

my second pair! After the half jackets, now i need something not so sporty, so i pick up these, feels nice and confortable, look´s different from the other kind of aviators, it´s very light and also fits pretty well in medium-size faces.

These are at local Vaults for a fraction of the original cost. For some reason, they were never too popular, and they can be found all over. I was stoked to get these, as I had been converted to the aviator frames after scoring a cheap Felon, because they just looked better than the other frames in this style. Try before you buy. They're not for everyone, but they're definitely for me.

awesome glasses, just picked them up at oakley vault for way under a hundred. I usually wear the splice, flak jacket or the old xmetal juliets which i sold after 7 years, god love ebay. love th slight contrast in the lens it took a few hours to get used to the contrasted/polarized lens coming from black iridium plain lens for 8 years. im sold on them

if you want an aviators, you cant go wrong with the crosshair. perfect size lenses, and looks great on people with oblong shaped faces. very good driving shades, feels durable. only thing i don't like about it is that when i wear it for long period of times, i find it somehow uncomfortable with the wire frame squeezing my face, maybe i'm just not used to it since i usually wear my monster dog and plate. but overall, they are cool sunglasses if you think rayban aviators are too big for you and if you want sunglasses to match your office attire.

The versatility of these frames is phenomenal. They look great and can be used in pretty much any situation. I love how they come in a ton of different lens and frames options. But the titanium frames are like half the weight as all of the other frames. And for an aviator style frame the visual cover rocks.

Frame: Matte Black
Lens: Gold Iridium Polarized

Custom. Love the look of the black against gold. Fit is great (although I would have like an Asian fit version better). Hated Aviator style glasses until I tried these. Look great, very retro, and I can dress up with them or down. The only nag I have is that iridium lenses scratch very easily (dropped off a table once and the lens was trash). It would be nice to have more options for non iridium lenses.

Still I loved these enough to spring for a second pair as back ups and two more sets of lenses (one to replace the scratched pair and one as back ups).

Striking pair of Oakley 'Aviators'. They've got classic aviator style without looking like they're off the rack at Walgreens. Very sturdy, large eye coverage, tight fit. I switched to the white earsocks and they look even better; the Chrome and White is very bright and clean. I get many compliments in public.

I have the 2 frame/lense combos as indicated....these are the best shades i've bought in a long time, a really timeless, perpetually cool style that would looks great from any angle. A really greta lense shape. These fit very well if you have large head as i do. I believe these are spec'd by oakley as for medium/large faces but i think they look better on bigger people with large melons. Anywho, well done oakley!

One of my mostly worn sunglasses.
They fit my big head very well, even better than my Warden.
Pewter/Black Ir color combo is very classy and a "go everywhere" style.

Only four on five skull for the double nosebridge junture on the orbitals which could have been worked on better.

Frame: Titanium
Lens: Titanium Polarised

Second pair of Crosshairs I've owned (first pair were Black/Black Iridium Polarised, bit plain looking but functionally fantastic). By far and away the most comfortable pair in my collection. They're light and fit fantastically well. Excellent coverage, though not as good as my X-Metal XX's, though they probaly suit ny larger than average head better.

Love the look too. Never been able to get away with aviator styles before, but these are just enough in the ratio of height/width to get way with it for me.

Only regret - I wish the lens tint was darker, great for cloudy, hazy or overcast days, but it can get awfully bright here in Western Australia and in those conditions, compared to the previous Crosshair Black Iridium Polarised I used to have before (and broke I'm sad to say), they just don't cut the glare down enough.

Frame: Polished Chrome
Lens: Ruby

This is my 3rd pair of wearable Crosshairs. I've always been a fan of the aviator style of sunglasses and was very happy when Oakley introduced its take on aviators. The Ruby idirium coating REALLY turns heads but it's not a "stock" colorway. I had to get this through the OCP program at my local Vault store. The chrome frame is bendable, so I was able to bend them a bit to the point where they don't pinch as much as "stock" from the factory. I also replaced the gunmetal icons that came with the frame with a pair of red icons from one of my other sets of crosshairs. I would highly recommend these glasses. They're super lightweight and look great with a suit or with casual clothing. As they are "Wires", they do tend to bend easily, so using these for rough sports isn't recommended.

Frame: Titanium
Lens: Titanium Polarized

Oh why have I waited so long (well SaC pricing helps). The combination of a Ti frame and polarized addition to the already superb Titanium lens prove to make this one of the most useful pair of glasses. I had normally been exclusively using the Flak and Half Jacket, not so much bothering with Wires, but these have been on my head non-stop for the past week since I got them, with no signs of slowing down. They work well in almost any situation, and are great going unde a helmet when riding a bike. They also look great in addition to performing well. Highly recommended.

Frame: Pewter
Lens: Black Iridium

A great, lightweight aviator style sunglass for any use. I find myself wearing these more often then some of my others, only because of the great look and the classy nature of the design. The ear stems harken back to the days of original A-wires, but aren't nearly as bulky. The lenses aren't huge, but provide good coverage. Overall....a great pair.

Comfortable to wear, light, wide scope of lens vision, stylish in a way because they got a big lenses. Not flashy type(because its not mirrored or iridium). I love its simplicity with uniqueness of lens cut(crosshair got a signature cut lenses!)

I own a juliet, xx, romeo 1&2...I can't deny that this crosshair is my favorite!

I bought these out of impulse on ebay, and i am extremly glad i did. I have 3 other O's and these are by far my favorite. I was skeptical when i first saw them because i thought there was no way they would fit a smaller face but they do and look great in the process. The frame is not real heavy, and the earsocks keep a perfect fit without squeezing. They are not really an aviator but i can see the connection they have to an avaitor. They are more square but they have nice curves. Overall a great pair of shades.

I custom ordered these Crosshairs as my Christmas present this year and they are everything I expected them to be and more. The frame is wonderfully crafted and the icon (which I custom ordered to be chrome) is a great accent. The pictures of the Titanium Iridium Polarized lenses on Oakley.com looked more brown than the actual lenses. While I couldn't tell from online pictures, the lenses are actually very mirror-like in sunlight. They are very comfortable and I can wear then all day long. These are the coolest Oakley frames I've worn/seen to date. Total satisfaction.

Frame: Black Chrome
Lens: VR50 to Brown Transition

I needed an aviator photochromic sunglasses to replace my 11 year old photochromic aviator. They are expired as chemical in photochromic lenses usually stops working after few years. So I gave this model a chance.

Pros:
- The coverage is excellent. No significant light leak, and no blindspots like Gascan.
- The lenses sit at the perfect distance from my eyes. My Razrwire sits to low it lets light leak from the top, while my Square Wire sits to close my eyelashes leave greasy marks everytime. No problem at all with Crosshair.

Cons:
- I just realised it's not "traditional" aviator
- Colour is not blingy enough, but this is the only one available with the Transitions lenses.
- Fit is to tight, wearing it for half an hour will leave mark on my temple for another half an hour. Wearing it for two hours gives me headache (literally). Wearing it on top of my head (when indoor) gives me headache in ten minutes. I guess I am just too used to Spring Hinge.
- The lens fit is like third party job (which is possible being Transitions Optical lenses). Near the nose bridge I can see the edge of the lens, even the grinding. It is like the lenses are thicker than the frame at the edge!
- What is with this Transitions Optical logo? I can see it from inside and I feel like scratching it every time. The "Oakley" etching on my Razrwire is not noticable from inside.

Conclusion
I wanted a blingy traditional aviator with photochromic lenses. The fact that it is not traditional (people who see me keep saying it is not aviator), it is not blingy enough, and the lenses do not perform as I expected (please refer to my review on VR50 to Brown Transitions). The extremely tight fit adds to these problems.

2 out of 5, saved by the great coverage and great lens distance from my eyes.

If I knew the problems above (one can only try frames so long at sunglasses shop), I would buy a "polished gold" Warden, and replace the lenses with third party photochromic product.

Frame: Matte Black
Lens: Black Irid Polarized

The style is nice and updated from normal aviator. I really like that and that was the main purpose of my purchase. I also love Oakley's earstems. These were shaped and detailed and just hot. The glasses grps my M-L head well but the lens seem just a touch too big for my Asian face. They tend to touch heavy on my cheeks. But I can live with that as I have plenty of glasses to rotate through so these would not be a daily bother.
Now the lenses are a different story. One, really dark so be prepared if you are buying without trying. Unless strong sun is abound, may be bit too dark for some. I really wasn't impressed with the polarization either. Lots of rainbow, and pretty colors, and am I on acid??? I haven't had this issue with my other polarized lenses(VR28 blk irid, Ti irid, Grey, tung irid) so why these? I just picked up the same lens color in Nano 1.0's so I will have to see if there was a problem in production.
I do like the glasses overall, but the lens situation makes it hard to love them.

Been wearing square wires for years and decided to try something different. These offer much more coverage, without looking like big, dorky old-school aviator glasses. Lightest pair i have that isn't call zero. Love the titanium frame for the color too. Lenses are so amazingly clear and sharp. Enhances contrast and is great for driving. My second pair of crosshairs and I'm loving 'em more everyday. My go-to pair for dress-up ocassions.
jclau00 -
Frame: Black Chrome
Lens: VR50 to Brown Transition
Lots of coverage and sits comfortably. VR50 is light enough for shade or even indoors. Brown is dark enough for bright sunlight. Wish it had iridium coat though. The lens transition occurs gradually and not really noticeable. One negative about transition is that car windows block most UV rays, so the lens doesn't darken in the car. Otherwise, I'm very satisfied.

The Crosshair's design is an excellent twist to the old faithful Aviators. I'd have to say the Crosshair is automatically another Oakley Classic, the same way the aviator design has been around for generations. Great Oakley-fied look to a great eyewear design. 5 stars

Such a great glass! Sure Aviators have been done forever but superior fit & a touch of Oakley design flavor separate these from the rest. Details such as the slightly squared off Orbitals to the stylized Earstems are what set these apart from traditional aviators. Great fit, great frame colors, great lens colors, & customizable...Oakley has placed their Crosshairs on the style target & hit a bullseye!

Beautifull updated classic! I am usually not that attracted to big sunglasses, but these are just great. Not too big like a lot out there. Just right. The coverage is very good. In my opinion the usual Crosshair is great. Good weight, good fit, nice shape and design. But this Ti Crosshair is even way better! The weight is incredible, the frame is flexing better than the non-Ti-one, the VR28 BI Pol lenses look way nicer (better, Titanium Iridium-like mirror) and the fit is just as good as the "usual" one. The only "negative" is that these shades are so light-weight that I often think I may break/bend the frame by mistake.
Definately a must-have.

Sweet! Totally retro love the look. The amber polarized are sort of crazy, but they are very nice. I originally purchased the crosshair S's and decided to try these as well. I had tried the original crosshairs, but didn't like the fit. I must have tried a funky pair, because these ones fit perfect. These have got to be the most ideal lenses for those slightly overcast days after rain has caused the roads to be very glaring. Among my top favorites.

This is my new favorite in my collection. I'm actually a fan of the aviator style, except the classic RayBan aviators are really uncomfortable because of the heavy glass lenses. I was wearing a pair of Wardens, but they're still heavier than a plastic frame. These though, are another story all together. They are really light enough to forget you're wearing them. Interestingly, these seem to fit my head better than the non-Ti Crosshair, although I think it's the weight difference making them seem more comfortable.

Maybe I was too generous with my other eyewear reviews. This deserves a 5 and is far beyond many other Oakley eyewear I've tried. It's incredibly sturdy, looks the business, and the price is very good (read: appropriate) for a wire. I don't miss spring hinges - the arms don't flop around at all.

As for the colourway, it's one of the best for Crosshair. Some more Iridium options would be welcome (Gold, Slate, etc.).

I can't find anything wrong with this glass.

I first did not like these glasses just due to the fact that I didn't really like the aviator thing. I ended up getting these from a friend who thought he liked them but then realized that he would rather have cheap-o wally world shades that he could trash (!?!?!?!) and just gave these to me because of my o love! So, I have been wearing then and actually really like them - just shows that the more you look at something the more its true inner beauty shines outward!

I have had a pair of RB aviators for about 10 years and nothing Oakley did in a wire (short of the warden which just made me look weird) could beat them for coverage. Then came the crosshair. I was going to get a black iridium pair but the one pair my OPD had left was slightly scratched and I couldnt be bothered waiting. All of my O's (with the exception of my HI Blue fours) have transmission rates of +/- 10% so it was good to get the grey lenses for an in between.

The earstems look amazing and the build quality makes them feel very sturdy.

In my earlier review of this model I wrote "The artfully molded earstems are beautifully done, and that hole for the Icon is a perfect visual accent. However, not the best fit for my big head." The aesthetic appeal is still there.

For whatever reason, this pair that I tried on fit way better. Last time I tried them on, they sat a little low on my small nose so the lower corners touched my cheeks. This pair sat just about perfectly so that the only time my cheeks touched them is when I would smile.

Still not a fan of the aviator style though.

The classic Aviator style given an update the way only Oakley could do it and the finished product is quite attractive. The artfully molded earstems are beautifully done, and that hole for the Icon is a perfect visual accent.

A more toned-down combo compared to the Chrome/VR28 pair I also own. The coolest "cop glasses" I've ever seen. They are a relatively simple style, yet they are unique to most of the other bigger-framed aviators out there. No one has a reason to buy Ray Ban now!

Wow, these are awesome. They border more on the fashion side, but not in a feminine way like the Dartboards. Finally got to try these on. I wasn't impressed with the Warden, but these seem very well built. The stems give the impression of immense strength and durability, and the orbitals aren't half bad either. Probably one of the best built Wires short of the T Wire.

edit: The Ducati version, much like the Zero, makes this pair really a must have item. I could let it go before, but now, I think I may have to go out and snag it.

I like these a lot and I didn't expect to. Very cool shades, especailly for a girlfriend. Fits like a glove.

i tried a few Crosshairs a few weeks ago, and i'm surprised i like my Wardens better... i think it's the overall lens shape on the Wardens that work better for me. i do like the Crosshair's hinge and earstem design though... love the hole through the icon.

Any one who does not love these is stuck in the 90's. Fire, Ice, all that stuff is played. These glasses are the sickest. Great style, fit, and the detail on the temple is unparalled. Check them out, and if you have any sense of style, you too will agree. Nathan, you hit the nail on the head, this is the Avaiator for our Generation.

I've only seen these, not tried them on, but they look pretty good, a pleasent surprise from the O.

Frame:Silver

i didnt really like these as the silver frame teamed with the grey lens makes these look rather plain, it would have been much better if these came with a more colourful lens like a persimmon or ice but sadly they are stuck with the boring dark grey.

Frame:Pewter
Lens:Black Iridium

these were my second favourite, if your going for that understated look then you should go for these but cos i like to be a little more stylish these are too boring for me.
the pewter frame is alot less boring than the black but these dont really stand out.

Frame:Chrome
Lens:VR28 Black Iridium

these are the sexy ones, i am 100% gonna get these when i next see them.
the chrome is very nice, super shiny but because the crosshair frame is so thin it doesnt look stupid.
teamed with a great lens this is by far the best crosshair out.

Frame:White
Lens:G30

before i saw these this was the crosshair that i was most excited about.
unfortunately when you look at these in real life they are ugly, the white frame looks very weird specially with the g30 lens.
its not even a nice shiny white its a matte white.
i dunno who is gonna like these.

I'm gonna go against the grain from what's been said and say that I like the Warden better. But, I have a smaller face than most.

I just found these in my closest OPD. Fantastic glasses in person. The lens shape is 10x nicer than the round style you would be used to seeing. Even nicer than the Warden. The earstem cut is amazing. Very stylized. I'm really liking the look that O has been giving their metal stems starting with the Romeo 2. They sit very well on my face and the Warden hadn't. They're light weight and hold well. If these cross your path def give them a try.

While I'm not a fan of aviator styles, I tried the Crosshair anyway just to say I did. The earstems are beautiful... sculpted hammer styling and "hollow" icon. The lenses are quite large. Surprisingly, they didn't hit my cheeks as I expected unless I smiled or squinted. The glasses are lightweight considering the size of the lenses. If you like aviators, these are definitely worth a look.

For anyone interested in the Wardens but found the fit to be too large, the Crosshair is for you! These fit very great, not as droopy as the Wardens lens. I really like the black/black irid polarized frame combination.

Fits me better than the Warden. For those who are Die-hard Ray-ban aviator fans, these might be equivalent to the Caravan series. Little more side coverage though.

Looks nicer and more styled than the Warden. I'll have to try it on for sure. I've always wanted a aviator frame but was never really crazy about the Warden.
