Ok, so my other thread has shown that the Romeo 2 has a decent following. However, we don't have a recent poll that establishes the popularity of the X-metals relative to each other.

Therefore, rank the X-metals from your most liked to your least liked. I am curious as to see how each model is seen compared to earch other.

Juliet has to be the best
XX Metals
Romeo 1
Penny
Mars
Romeo 2
Half-X

That being said, I don't dislike any of them. The Romeo 2's and Penny's just look bad on me. Then again, so do the Mars. That's the only reason they're where there at one my list.

Why do I get the feeling that the Half-X will be on the bottom of almost everyone's list?

Well, can't disappoint myself!

It's pretty much a sure bet that the Juliet will tops and the Half-X on the bottom. It's the stuff in the middle that's surprising so far.

For those curious, the approach to ranking is a simple point-based system. Your first place ranking gets 1 point, second place 2 points, and so on. When all votes are tallied up, the model with the lowest total score is ranked #1, second lowest is #2, etc. I'll tally up the points when the thread is dead and then report the ranking. We won't have a huge sample pool, but it'll be interesting nevertheless.

Wow, my list is an exact match with Eric's!

XX Metal
Juliet
Penny
Romeo 2
Romeo
Mars
Half-X

I'm actually surprised to see as many people listing the XX metal as high as they do. Usually I feel like it's the forgotten step-child of the x-metal line.

This is how I have perceived others to view the x-metals.

Juliets, the standard for all other x-metals.
Penny, the small version of juliets that people love.
Romeo 2, really nice glasses, but not worthy of the name.
Romeo, the one that started it all. It's just too bad about the design issues.
Mars, over the top (well, not OTT) design that screams look at me.
Half-X, this is an x-metal? Even the name implies it's only halfway in the category.
XX, Isn't that just a juliet? Oh, it's larger?

Btw, I currently have 7 XX frames (all different!) and 5 juliet frames. None of the other x-metals.

Also glad and suprised to see the XX Metal so high on everyone list, with only 4 combos it could not compete with the Juliet in the long run...

Juliet fit me ok but I love the XX Metal better for sure.

Hi Thomas,

I have made one custom XX x-metal frame , which started out as an x-metal colour. I then polished the nose bridge, and just the O icon portion of the ear stems.

The other 6 are:
X-Metal
24k
TiO2
Plasma x 2 (both are plasma, but they have very different hues/sheens to them)
Polished (these came from a guy that worked at Oakley, they also came with a blue iridium vr28 lens with the RX logo on them, unfortunately, there's a slight prescription to them, so I can't wear them :( )

I have quite a few different lenses for the XX x-metals as well:
Black Iridium
24k Gold Iridium
Ice Iridium
Revo blue polarized (shhh, not oakley lenses :(, but still good quality)
Emerald Iridium
HI Persimmon
VR50 Emerald Iridium
Ruby Iridium
+Red Iridium
+Red Iridium polarized

and a keystone lens, Ruby Clear copy.

I don't doubt that we're gonna be pretty surprised. I'm kinda saddened, though. Looks like my favorite pair is quite low on many people's list.

Very nice. Nice catch on these.
