Thanks, that was an initial review based off trying them on and handling them, before actually buying them. I keep getting an actual review started, but don't like the direction I begin writing since it becomes a bit wordy. I end up backing out of it and doing something else.

This new X-Metal looks okay, but I still hope for a Juliet for a smaller head, like mine.

The more I see the HALF X, the more I would like a pair. I think the only reason I will hold out for a bit is because I am a huge fan of fire, ruby, positive red and deep blue lenses. I really would like to see one or all of these lenses an option for the HALF X. Here's to hoping...cheers!!

Yeah, tell me about it. Too much of the "fashion influence" nowadays (gray, black, brown colors). Give the people what they want... COLOR OPTIONS. If we're willing to $$$pay$$$ for it, Oakley, then JUST DO IT.

Your reviews are great, but I look @ these and all I can think about is steepandcheap.com selling Razrwires without the BT. I cannot justify buying these, especially in the colorways now.

I'm feelin' em. They are quite nice. A little smaller than expected, but I don't have a huge head. A do with the lenses were slightly smaller top to bottom to make the more rectangular.

Top stuff Phil, great to see a pair on someones face.

Is there any chance you could do a comparison photo to some other frames say a Juliet and straight jacket.

Nice pick-up Phil! I'm feelin' em, just biding my time then I'll pounce on a pair. Even though I'm torn between the Polished/VR28 Black and the Plasma/Tungsten. They're looking good Phil.

I tried them on at my OPD...and I'm feeling them. I'm just waiting for some better lens options.

Yeah, I'll hold off until I see some more lens options too!

Thats one thing that is cool with the half-x; even if no more new combos are released shortly (or ever) they will surely release additional lens for people to play with, its great to have a choice.

I wish they would the same for the Romeo 2, it would probably help give the model a second boost of popularity.

To be honest, I don't like the shape of the Penny as much as the Juliet.

i tried on a pair the other day and i will say they're comfortable, but they are just not for me... my head is to fat or something and they look really really small on me.

Pennys would probably come off poorly next to Juliets but that's not to say the Penny sucks, the Juliet and to a similar extent the Romeo 1 are the pinnacle of the form and functionality X-metals have come to symbolise, the half-X is, itself a very elegant and well structured design but it will always be measured against the Juliet where it, and indeed any other X-metal, will come off poorer...judge the Half-X on it's own merit though and it's a very nice, stylish and high quality pair of sunglasses.

Let's face it, even if it was Oakleys worst it would still be better than any other lesser companys best. The half-x deserves its due, no, it's not a Juliet or a Penny or a Romeo or a Mars...but then what could possibly be?

I've never personally liked the Mars as X-metals are concerned but I appreciate the work and craftsmanship that's gone into it and besides...we can all live in hope of a future x-metal, I remember being on tenterhooks when I heard about a new x-metal long before the rumours circulated of the Half-X...no company has ever had me so interested in one product, the speculation, the rumours, wondering what it would look like, I think all of us had different ideas what we wanted from an x-metal, personally, I just want Oakley to keep doing what its always done and continue to push the envelope.

I was thinking it looked like a Half Wire, but a RAZRWire looks pretty much like it as well.
