My girlfriend got me the AP Rolling Bag 2.0 and the sheetmetal Kitchen Sink Pack. Both are substantially badass.

Just got home from Superman: The 3-D IMAX Experience. Anyone who has an IMAX nearby, SEE THIS. It was incredible.

It's not really that odd to see Forces sponsored by Oakley. Force's Funny Cars have sported the O emblem for years, and Gary Scelzi and John Force get along incredibly well. Other than a wire-to-wire battle for the points last year, there isn't really any "rivalry" between Scelzi and Force. This is a smart marketing move, nothing more.

I'm assuming the very special one is the Scelzi championship edition...

There's an Oakley Vegas T-shirt now. Says "Oakley Vegas" on the front, with a giant spade between "Oakley" and "Vegas". That is superimposed on top of 5 red cards, each with the Scatter Skull design on them.

Brian, the girl you're thinking about in Pro Stock is named Erica Enders, she is of no relation to the Force family.
John's oldest daughter, Ashley, drives Top Alcohol Dragster--basically the equivalent of the "minor leagues" compared to nitro cars. One step down. And she has 2 sisters driving Jr. Dragsters, basically like "little league" for drag racing.
And it looks like Ashley will be joining her dad in Nitro Funny Car starting in the 2007 season. She just got licensed to drive Nitro Funny Cars and they've chosen a crew chief for her car next year.
Ashley, along with her father and the rest of their team typically sport Oakley, as Oakley is the official lifestyle sponsor of the NHRA.
Can't wait to see the show!

He might be sponsored by Oakley, but I'm not sure his mullet has agreed to terms yet.

Speaking of Gary Scelzi, he made a great appearance on the Bubba The Love Sponge show on Sirius Satellite Radio today. He got drunk and talked Oakley a little bit, amongst MANY other things.

Nice to see you on another message board Jim. I'd say given the inherent nature of the folks on this one, your experience here will be a little different than the Mater. Maybe the few drag racing minded fans on O-Review will be able to pick your brain on that topic here now.

The sales rep in this area is Paul Hymas. One of the best in the country. He knows about that location all too well. He's so busy he probably just doesn't want to be bothered with them.

The picture of him in the Ruby Juliets is from 2002 during his first year in Funny Car. He was driving the White Cap Toyota Celica (as illustrated by his Toyota Racing hat) on a rival team while Scotty Cannon was the lone Oakley pilot. Considering that Cannon wasn't even getting signature lenses at the time, I'll say it's safe to assume they're just regular Ruby J's of the early generation variety.

The Vault is just north of the strip off of I-15, which is the freeway that runs basically the entire length of the strip, just west of it. Any cab driver will know how to get you there. In fact, that mall itself is advertised on the tops of several cabs.
