Has anyone ever been to the Hawaii O-stores??? My girlfriend and I are getting ready to travel to Hawaii for awhile during the summer and the hotel that we are staying at is a 10 minute walk to one of them. While I'm sure they are very similar to others around the country I was just curious to know if anyone had been there or not.
Aloha, I have been to both Honolulu O-Stores. One of them is in my favorite mall in the world - Ala Moana. The other just opened up last March/April and is on the strip along Waikiki Beach. They are both great stores. Also, on the corner of the main drag and Lewers Street is a little surf shop called "Pipe Dreams". I hope it is still there because it was a great place for Oakely. That part of Waikiki is undergoing huge renovations right now I heard, so I wouldn't be surprised to hear Pipe Dreams is no longer. Mahalo, and thank you for flying Hawaiian Airlines.
What Rick said, skip the O Store and hit up Pipe dreams. O Store only carries the latest stuff, while Pipe Dreams has new and old stuff. Last time I was there in May, they had all three original Romeo's, and 3 Ichiro's. Everything is on the old pricing scheme too, so O Matter is $5 cheaper and X-metal is $25 cheaper. Check out the back for discount clothing.
I've been told that some of the stores like the Hawaii O-Stores and the Soho stores have some specific clothing for those stores, similar to something like the Hard Rock resturants. Any truth to this or am I just talking out of my ass?
nice! is that something that they cary on a regular basis that you know of? I leave in just under 2 weeks for a 37 day trip. I can't tell you how excited I am.
There's an Oakley Vegas T-shirt now. Says "Oakley Vegas" on the front, with a giant spade between "Oakley" and "Vegas". That is superimposed on top of 5 red cards, each with the Scatter Skull design on them.
