The $40 service charge is for frame replacement and the like. small things like that may be $3 at most.

But they will only replace the icons with the origial ones and they will not sell loose Icons.

Start looking for busted frames on ebay.

ehh...Maybe I will ask my brother to airbrush the icons off of the pairs I already have the colors I want. They wouldn't be factory, but they are cleared MD frames, so that is kind of the whole point.

I think Flak has its own unique icon. If you look closely at the "hole", it seems like the icon is one solid piece and the "hole" is just painted to look like a hole. Look on the O Custom site. The icon colors are written as <icon color> <hole color> (e.g. Satin Silver Slate Metal).

I'm not keen on prying off the icon on my Flak, but that would be the best way to confirm.

Yeah, I think they're painted like my Rx Gaskets. Unique look though.

I got hooked up and have Texas flags for my gascan icons, and no I didn't get them from total_o. I think I still have some extra gunmetal ones and I think I still have set of baby blue ones. The blue ones are sweet but I just don't know which frame/lens combo to put it in.

I wonder how this discussion applies to Stretch logos. I assumed they were all molded/painted on. Perhaps not now that I know all this...I'll have to check a few out.

I did notice the Script, which seems to actually have the icon molded in.

I also didn't see any others on the Custom O with icons like the Flak. I half expected the Radar to have it.

I checked last night and the Flak icon center is part of the icon. Molded right in.

my wife recently got a pair of Monster Pups and wants to chnage the icon, unfortunately thay couldnt do it when we bought them....anyway....does anyone have Gold MP Icons they would be willing to part with?? Thanks..

I don't think the Dispatch icons are interchangeable with anything ... for now. The little tabs that allow the icon swapping wouldn't fit in the icon mold for any other eyewear (I presume). I'd imagine it a safe bet, though, that there will be some future eyewear models coming out that can use the same swapable icons.

I think the Dispatch Icons will fit into the fuel cell if you cut off the little tabs.

I'm not positive though, haven't tried it yet, but seem to recall hearing that.

Only the newer ones that were meant to be swappable. Otherwise they require you to send them in. Basically true metal icons are an anti-counterfeit measure, so they don't want to be giving those away for someone to slap on a knockoff.
