as quagmire would say, gigidigigidigigidi... awllll riiight.

My passion other than Oakley would have to be lacoste, its one of the only things that i look for before oakley in a mall or shopping place. At the moment I'm at 9 polos, six piqued polos, which are solid color and retail for 72.00, and 3 of the classic retro polos, which retail at 90.00. plus strike shoes, which retail for 130,but bear in mind that i never pay retail for anything :D

I wrangle more crocs that Steve Erwin!!

Seriously not being a jerk, but you don't like fashion glasses but you do like pastel polos and white trainers? I don't get it.

IDK actually, I like being fashionable, but only if i actually like something, I love lacoste shirts and stuff, btu that was natural, not an acquired taste, I disliked the fashion shades right off the bat cuz they didnt appeal to me... my mind is an enigma i guess.

I just got the 20th Anniversary DVD Optimus Prime Transformer. It's similar to to the 20th Anniversary Optimus that Phil and Cal have (shown below, hope they don't mind), and I gotta say its bar none the best Transformer ever made. The bastard is HUGE and certain parts are diecast metal, so there's a good weight to it. The way it transforms is genius; the engineers/designers should receive many awards for their work.

If any of you were Transformers fans as a kid, you gotta pick this one up just for old time's sake. You won't be disappointed.

Other than Oakley's in my past life:

sports cards, haven't we all been there?

Lionel trains, the O scale

1/6th action figures; wwii, movies, etc

DVDs, over 100 but I have begun to stop buying, its just does not make sense to me anymore, but does any of this?

mardi gras memorabilia.

Looking back, to be honest, its all about the hunt, AND, really the money would have been better to collect!

cool Optimus Prime Oak! i used to have the original when i was a kid but like most things from years ago it disappeared. :(

as i said before, i used to collect Matchbox cars. i had a ton when i was a kid but alot of them went missing. then in the early to late 90's (i think, i can't remember) Matchbox issued a highly detailed limited edition collector's line called the "Premier Collection" so i collected those.

i recently dug out most of what's left in my collection. here's a photo of them on the floor:

and some closeups:

this Ford Cortina might've been my first one.

Nice, Oak. Is that the new one with more accurate to the cartoon paint job and the base stand that spouts out phrases from Prime?

Yep, that's the one, Phil. I didn't know it had a more accurate paint job. I always thought that they Masterpiece, 20th Anniversary and the 20th DVD Anniversary were all exactly the same.

They mod'd the colors to differentiate the two. Took the burns and battle damage off the new one so it looked more like solid cartoon colors.

Ah, cool info.

Yep, that's the one I have. I didn't find a more accurate pic because I didn't think of taking it elsewhere but still wanted to show the toy, and the first thing that came to mind was yours and Cal's pics (awesome pics, BTW).

FYI, in Japan there's a white Ultra Magnus version of the cab and a Starscream on the way. So cool, and I can only hope it hits our shores.

I think some specialty shops can order those Takara Transformers. I know of one local comic book shop that got the first shipment of Starscream a week or two back. It sold pretty quickly at about $135 CDN (appox. $117 USD). Other than that, there's some eBay sellers that have both the Starscream and Ultra Magnus. And I totally agree, they look awesome. I'll probably get at least the Starscream one day and perhaps the Ultra Magnus as well if they start selling his trailer.

bong nice collection and photos. I collected matchbox cars and hot wheels and a few others. I also had that criss, cross, CRASH! race track,a large parking garage, some carrying cases and a few Stompers. I still have all of them stashed away over my parents house along with my transformers. I just might have to take a trip over there sometime soon and dig them out!

I just had to open this thread yesterday. Made me think "I need to get the rest of those mini Simpsons models." Wonder if the Lisa with Bleeding Gums Murphy is a chase figure seeing it's a nice bluesy mood setting B&W instead of color as all the pics I've seen.

And of course when going to the comic book store with the better selection of toys it's hard to leave without something else. For my desk at my new job.

I feel like I'm 10 years old again! I just picked up the complete set of 81/82 and 82/83 O-Pee-Chee hockey cards. I had both of these sets as a kid but sold them to a friend in High School for a case of beer. I don't know what it is lately but I suddenly want everything I had (and couldn't have) as a kid. Must be getting old.

Next up: SE Racing Quadangle BMX. My dream bike as a youngster.

No way, I had one. It was chrome with blue and green lettering. I was way to little for it when my dad bought it for me, bit it had the wheel stands and everything. Had blue Oakley grips too. I wish I still had it.

Gah! O-Pee-Chee! Rick, is your whole goal in life buying things to make me jealous? Nice pick up. I miss those cards. Those and Topps (though I never understood why they were exactly the same as O-Pee-Chee).
