Fantastic lens. Great in a variety of lighting conditions. Very rich and classy color. Everyone who tries these comments on how nice they are. Kind of like "Blue Blocker" commercials back in the day. These satisfy that niche between the boring and bland black and greys, and the outlandish colors such as Fire. A subtle, but interesting look. The amount of 5 out of 5 skull ratings does not surprise me one bit.
Very good lens. If you wear black lenses and alternate to these it takes a little getting used to the higher contrast but you will eventually adjust. A very nice silver tint and lots of colour contrast, even though it allows only 10% Light to the eye the view makes it seem lots more. Increases long distance sight and suitable 100% for driving, in fact these are far better for driving than Black iridium. I personally would not recommend Black iridium for driving. Perfect lens for full sun and dark overcast and as I mentioned also driving.A great golf lens.
great lens, i'm in bali where the sun is very bright....its perfect....i like increasing contrast lens. this lens also good even when it afternoon or early in the morning. i have its in my polished Romeo 2, perfect.
These are great! I have these in my Fives 3.0 and they make everything look much nicer than the dull Grey base lens options. I was a big fan of the VR28 Black Iridum, and have that in 3 different frames. I wasn't sure how I would like the Brown Base, but these offer a much different overall look and I found myself really enjoying the difference in contrast. The only problem I have with the Brown base lenses, are that they are all very similar: Tungsten, Titanium, Bronze, etc. Hopefully Oakley will come up with another great contrast lens base. Who knows.
Very dark contrast. Great in extreme light and actually not so good for lower light conditions. Looks great in the T wire 2.0 frame. Very reflective, sort of Matrix-like.
I'm usually not inti bronze based lenses but this one is different. Its mirrored coating is amazing and the contrast is right on. I wish these came in my titanium spikes polarized.
Just picked up a pair of Gascans with Titanium Iridium.
Love the bronze colour when viewed through, but the look of mirrored silver from when viewed from afar. Great for driving on the road or on the water.
Have always had Gold Iridium (actually prefer them over polarized ones too), but these are my new favourite. Have never liked Black Iridium but liked the look of them from afar; Titanium Iridium gives me what I like from both Gold and Black Iridium and joins them in one lens.
Highly recommended!
This must be the best oakley lens ever. Why?Because it's made for very bright conditions, while it feels bright enough and suitable for all hours of the day until dusk,it provides good contrast, along with a very nice and interesting tint, not as aggresive to look through as the gold iridium however. The titanium iridium has the best mirror effect. What you see from the outside is the absolute mirror, totally bright and colourless, and the etched "titanium",further dinsticts it from the rest of the oakley lenses. So,there you have it,it's got contrast,it's made for very bright days, while working very well on overcast or less sunny situations, and it has very good mirror effect. In other words,it does pretty much everything, and it has the whole package.I only wish I had the polarized version...Five big stars without a question!!!
It's decent so far, except the $60 tag on replacement lenses was a bit much to swallow. It has less light transmission than Gold Iridium, more than Black Iridium, and the contrast is somewhere between the two. That's it in a nutshell: Black Gold Iridium. It would look pretty awesome with the Black Gold colorway.
A tremendously versatile lense, like everyone is saying. Its bronze base is light enough that it doesn't darken everything around you, yet is perfect for very sunny days. When the sun fades out, the increased contrast is perfect. The silvery mirror effect is beautiful and with the laser-etched titanium in the corner of the lense, just makes for a perfect design detail. I have these in a pair of my Half Jackets (pairs well with the FMJ 5.56) and the polished Romeo 2.0's.
One of the most striking dark Oakley lenses (have them in the Half Jacket version). Cool, classy looking from the outside.
Best in bright and sunny conditions. A bit dark and dull for for exercising like running or cycling where one could use a bit more contrast. Maybe an alternative to Black Iridium.
Good lens for a variety of lighting conditions. Not quite as soothing on the eyes as a VR28 base in bright sun, but still comfortable. Decent color rendition with greens getting a boost. Better than expected transmission when the clouds come out. Very versatile.
I Work in a Vision Express Store in England and after constantly trying on oakley's out of the display cabinet, i couldn't choose a lens, we didn't have any titanium irid's in our frames but i had an empty frame at home (Canteen if must know, Matte Black).
Ordered a pair of Dual Lens Replacements for the frame - waited 5 weeks - they were worth the wait. constantly get told off by the girlfriend for wearing them all the time, sunny, overcast and even raining too. Greens look amazing through the lens and its just a soft colour for the eye to look through!!!!
The first time I wore this lens it was overcast (and not really that bright) outside. The contrast-enhancement is as defined as any lens I've tried previously. Today is my second day wearing them, and it is bright and sunny outside. I'm relatively photo-sensitive, and I find these almost too powerful in bright sunlight - almost to the point of having to squint with my glasses ON. Great lens that really boosts contrast in medium to low light, but I would recommend something a little darker (Ice, Black iridium, etc) for bright, sunny days. The contrast enhancement is just too strong in bright, sunny conditions.
These lenses are perfect for overcast cloudy days, because they seem to brighten up everything you see with an almost sepia look.
I have these in my Titanium Spike, they seem to be more scratch resistant than my other lenses.
I read lots of positive reviews on this site and I gave a try what this lens really is. I never had a lens that increased contrast, so it was quite unusual look what I first tried them on. Everything was a bit brownish and the object seemed old-school in the beginning.
After a few weeks my eyes got used to this tint and I must admit this lens became my favorite. The contrast makes the edges sharper and the tint itself is suitable for almost all light conditions.
The Iridium coating with silver mirror makes the lens perfect! Recommended for every Oakley fan.
The difference between this one and any other lens is like VHS vs. DVD, that's what I always said when I was in retail. Perfect for bright light, but also working on cloudy days.
You've heard it before and that's because it's true: this is the best lens you'll ever wear. It increases contrast while still being very dark. On the outside it looks very classy in an understated kind of way
A mi gusto no muy buenos para cuando hay mucho sol, pero te dan una vision muy agradable que no obscurese el ambiente, el gusto se rompe en genero pero recomiendo mas los black iridium
one of my 2 current favs. i have it in my new zeros spike and romeo 1. Wad can i say? looks cool, blocks the sun well, enhances contrast. only problem is the price $$$$$. Any frame with these lenses will come at a premiun price. Minus one skull for that.
Awesome lens indeed! I have these for my HJs. Contrast is great, especially when looking at landscape (blue sky becomes a bit grey, greens are vivid, etc ...). I agree that Titanium Iridium is a versatile lens. You can wear them on sunny and/or cloudy days. At first, it took a while to get used to the bronze base, especially after wearing grey-based lenses for so long. Everything seemed too bright but eventually, your eyes will adjust.
Probably one of the most popular lenses in our store right now. A very dark lense, A decent amount of contrast. A gorgeous, perfect, silver mirror. Special lense etching. Looks best on polished frames, especially dark frames.
They are really comfortable looking through that I can wear them the entire day. They are so good that I have them both in my half jackets and Romeo 2 frame. If you drive, you will definitely like them very much.
The contrast is great and I love the mirror coating. It is discreet yet offers a refreshing alternative to the trusty ole black iridium. It has something of a silverish tone when seen under the light, plus how many non-polarized lenses have the priviledge of being laser engraved with "titanium" on the bottom of the lens?
Have these lenses on my bottlecaps, had them custom made so i could have these lenses. They have a good mirror coating and are good for all conditions. They add great contrast to everything.
Makes everything nice and easy on the eyes. Like the etching on the left lens. Very versatile in as well low as bright light conditions. Love it in my Spike!
Awesome lens, that has just the right balance for just about any condition you like.
These are pretty cool. They are different. I only have one set of these and they are on my Romeo 2's. I like them but I would rather have the Ice or Fires on. They seem a little dark for me, but to each is own.
great lens!
increases contrast yet Very very comfortable on the eyes even in bright sunlight.
kinda like gold iridium... BUT BUT BUT with a better mirror coating.
gold iridium tends to let people see your eyes.
so when you've got to remain cool. these are the lenses for u !
best lens in all of the oakley lens range. gotta have at least one in your eyewear, you can have them on your head at any time during the day
Just as dark as Black Iridium lenses but with the added feature increased contrast, you'll see why this is one of the most popular lenses out there.
I love this lens! The bronze base is so easy on the eyes and the silver mirror is very nice. I also like the TITANIUM etching. All in all, a very classy lens. One of my new favs.
This is a great lens. I'm usually not a fan of bronze lenses, but this one is close enough to neutral that I don't mind. It's also fairly dark. I haven't tried it yet, but I imagine the polarized version is spectacular.
Probably my favorite lens. The bronze base is great for anything from partly cloudy to super bright conditions. The Iridium coating looks like Black Iridium but is actually silver in color. Also, in most applications, "TITANIUM" is etched at the bottom edge of the left lens (a nice touch).
I love this lens, my second fave after Ice. The iridium coating looks really classy, and the brown hue is unexpected yet great feature. It's also great in many light conditions, from overcast to bright sunlight, with great light transmission.
Strikes me as a great improvement to the Gold Iridium lens. Similar hue, but a bit softer. But the look on the outside is much more striking. Plus, I love any lens that is worth the laser etching!
As Lex says, this lens is a pukka lens, suitable for anything from bright midday sun to grey, overcast typical english weather ;) My favourite lens and when combined with T wire 2.0 they're perfect.
My second Favourite lens.
I have only just got this lens on my Hatchets after wanting it for soo long.
The Mirror coating is awesome, I have worn this lens in all conditions from super sunny to on the train at night.
I love wearing it when driving cos its one of those lenses that you can put on and keep it on even if the conditions change.
I had looked through this lens many times it the old T-Wire and always thought it was kind meh. When I went for a pair of Monster Dogs this lens was in the Bronze frame which seemed to be the best combo for me so I gave it a whirl. Man am I glad I did. It's a bronze base with essentially Black iridium minus all the mirror. Like I have said in other reviews, nothing beats a lens with a bronze base. It has worked in all light conditions for and the contrast is excellent. They even help in the rain while driving. I believe this lens will always be worth the extra $10-$20 over regular iridium's.
to me nothing special about this. just seems like another black iridium. Except for the titanium etching on the lens and the tint which makes it seem more costly than it is
I've heard so many good things about this lens that it is making me want to get some. If I do, it's gonna be on the Romeo 2. Can't wait.
