Day 3 - Friday, March 20
11:49pm PST

WOW! The day has barely started and we're already on sensory overload!

After breakfast, we all piled onto a bus and headed up to HQ. As soon as we got off the bus we were greeted by Colin Baden himself. He was flanked by guys with assault rifles and they asked us all to line up in front...

Well they decided not to shoot us, Colin welcomed us and we then went into the auditorium for a thorough presentation. We heard from Colin, Scott and various members of R&D. After this, they had a Q&A session in which they answered a lot of the questions we asked in our contest profiles, and had trivia for us in which some very cool and very rare items were given away...including a beautiful Black/+Red Jawbone!

We're on break for a "Hawaiian BBQ" lunch and then we go on a tour of the HQ. Supposedly we're going to see some areas so exclusive, even many employees haven't been there!

The excitement keeps on coming!

Wow, + red Jawbone ! that's awesome !
But this is way less cool than Colin Baden himself welcoming you.
That's the best honor he could have done to a half hundred of Oakley fanatics.

green with envy over here in the UK, I just hope everyone gets everything they hope for from the event, I'm just happy that O-reviewers are there representing,

Great update, Yukio/Dawn. I'm very curious as to what the prizes they had were and, more importantly, how did us OR members do when it came to the trivia?

As the evening wound down there was an RC car racing event. Those of us who were less experienced suffered the wrath of ifynanceu, as Josh took 1st place in the competition. Josh's victory landed him a $1000 RC car along with a limited-edition "gold" Holeshot, of which only a handful were made (originally handed out to Olympic Medalists). Congratulations, Josh! It was great to see an OR member receive such a rare Oakley timepiece!

Too late, Rick. I already posted that. Slowpoke. No wonder you didn't win the RC race. You better change that racecar icon to a turtle.

Oh, also forgot to mention that earlier in the day we each got to have a pair of Flak Jackets of our choice custom-made. While I was placing my order for the Flak Jackets in the HQ lobby I noticed that the gentleman behind the counter was wearing the Pit Boss. I asked to check them out, and he politely obliged. They are sick, even better than they appear in the photo that we've seen so far. I'm not sure they're worth the $560+, though.

Day 3 - Friday, March 20
10:14pm PST

And the first official day of the Co-Pilot event comes to a close. Oakley had a lot planned for us and it all went off without a hitch.

After lunch on the helipad, they moved us back up into the lobby and broke us up into groups for the tour. Dawn and I were in seperate groups, but I was lucky enough to get paired with several O-R members, including Dann and Phil. Apparently, each group was given a model name. Go figure that our group was the "Elite Team!"

We got to see R&D, marketing, the Rx department (where they gave each of us a complimentary Scar) and engineering. I think one of the coolest things we saw was a demonstration of the ANSI test, up-close and personal!
Around the middle of the tour, we ended back up in the lobby at the OCE bar where a group of people were all setup to create each of us a custom Flak Jacket. They even engraved each pair with "Co-Pilot 09" on the lens!
We went back to the tour which had us walking through the Oakley museum where we saw quite a few awesome pieces from old to new. Eyewear, grips, ads and the highlight of the day for me - the actual Penny and Juliet used by James Marsden in the X-Men movies! I could barely pull myself away from them.

Afterwards, they had us back in the lobby where we had a good hour to purchase some goods at some great discounts. Oakley...offering us discounts!

They rounded off the day with a really cool RC race with some very rare Holeshots as prizes, a bonfire, food and booze and yet more free gear.

It's still completely unreal to me. And tomorrow is paintball! Can't wait! Rick's ass is toast!

Day 4 - Saturday, March 21
7:35am PST

Early start this morning. We had to be in the lobby by about 6:15 for breakfast, and the bus left at 7. Upon arrival on Thursday, we were all given brand-new S.I. boots which most of us decided to wear for today's event. I also decided to wear my complimentary Flak (had them put in Tungsten Polarized specifically for today). And in the lobby they had red Factory Pilot gloves for us.

The drive is about a half hour long. But the games they have setup for us sound really fun!
