And also, I think they made some special exceptions on the international winners since people like Mike from Oz and Rick from Canada are such exemplary fans.

Congrats to all, but like others, I'm puzzled at some. There were certain non-OR entries that I thought were sure-in's, but the ones without pictures. Very odd.

Congrats to the folks that made it in ... and I'm bummed to see and hear of those that didn't.

Just trying to make sense of who made it in ... and who I should or shouldn't already know. Just read over L. Bodine's (UrbanGorrilla) entry and now I'm a bit scared for myself.

Looks like a few 'last second' entries made it through. Some of these guys put in their entry on 1/30 or later.

I think the pain comes in knowing that there really are people shown as winners who you absolutely have to question their fanhood based on such a lack of enthusiasm in their entry, and the lack of info. I know they can't choose all review members as nice as it would be, but to be sided by a nobody without the dedication enough to make a decent submission baffles me!

For all my family who didn't make it, I truly feel for you. For those who did, I am ecstatic that we will have an event to showcase the dedication we have as individuals and as a community dedicated to the brand we all love. See you @ Bootcamp!

I feel your pain man. The second I didn't see my face up there I lost all passion and excitement for the O items I have coming to me in the mail. I sat and stared at my collection every day at lunch for 5 minutes and smiled and I couldn't even look at it today.

It just sucks to be bested by some people that clearly wouldn't be as hurt as I am right now.

Part of me is really pissed and the part of me that is not, is laughing! Put yourself in my shoes for a minute,with all the time and $ that you put into this passion we call oakley! If there were better entrants that beat me I would be totally cool but I personally don't think that is the case here. It is just kinda like a good kick in the nuts, it is having the brand that you idolize tell you that your passion is not good enough to make this field. That is where I say BS!! Because there are several "winners" that do not belong in the top 50! But I guess it is what it is!! There will be lots of goodies that will be up for adoption really soon though, mind is already made up on that part. I would like to send Congrats to all that were selected to make the trip, have a blast!!!! This is my last 2 cents on the matter.

I second that, well done you guys as for those who didn't make it, commiserations but if you truly love the O enough to be on this forum then I'd assume you'd have enough love not to get overemotional about not winning the competition...we all get Oakley gear because we love the gear not because it could get us a competition entry.

BMCAPS, if you ebay your stash the only thing you're gonna be left with is soreness and a lack of the best eyewear known to man...that's just my two cents, no offence is intended

Congrats to all of the O/R members that got picked for the event. I am so sorry for the ones that did not.
I will tell you that I did everything in my power to help get the event launched and answer any questions that I could but I was dreading (having a slight inclination) that some of the people here would not get picked and i feel bad.. I honestly had nothing to do with the judgeing / nor do I know how they came about picking the top 50, I just know that they had quite a bit of time to go through all the applicants and (like Justin said) they must have had their reasons..Thanks Again to all that participated and I was pumped to be a part of it..
