I've seen a few fellas wearing Dart, and I tried on Speechless at the airport and they looked alright on me. What's the consensus on wearing women specific frames even if they look good on guys?

In my opinion, nmost of Oakleys women specific frames are extremely women specific, but I feel with the Dart and Speechless they just about cross into unisex territory, much like Conduct is more unisex than male specific.

(The sunglasses that Will Smith wears on the 'Hancock' posters had a very Speechless look about them).

Having said all that, I can't see myself getting a pair, because no matter how 'ok' they look, basically you're wearing chicks glasses and it's not like Oakley hasn't got a plethora of male sunnies that look great on you anyway.

Bloody hell what a rambling mess.

Thank you. I thought the same.

I can't pull of "women's" glasses. I put on the White Ducati Riddle and felt very in touch with my feminine side. My wife thinks they look good on me, but um... no. Having a good understanding of fashion and such, the guys at the motorcycle shop already give me grief. Personally, I just can't pull them off.

However, BullyVW seems to be able to pull them off quite well. I'll wait to let him weigh in on this one.

i am thiniking about getting a pair of darts. I tried them on the other day and they looked really good on me. My thoughts are, 90 percent of average people wont know that they are womens frames so i dont think there is anything wrong with it. If they look good wear em man!

Dave, you think I look good in women's sunglasses? I'm not sure how to take that!

I think the right people can pull off anything. I've worn both darts and dartboards as well as my Violet Riddles. One of my favorite pairs is my berry Crosshair S's...although that's less of a girlie frame and more of a girlie color.

I'll wear anything that looks good as long as it doesn't have the script Oakley logo...that's a little too much for me.

Don't worry Andrew. I've seen heaps of Guys wearing the Dart here in Perth. I think you will be safe, but i feel the Dart is about as far as you should go.

If i see you wearing any others i shall deny that i know you!

If you can rock them, then do it.

I've got a pair of Darts and they are awesome. No one knows that they're women-specific. I also have a pair of Violet Riddles and I get compliments on them all the time because of the lens.

Anyways, chicks dig sensitive dudes so you can't lose.

Jackie O-style sunglasses on men = No go, unless you're a rock star, pimp, or emo prat.

Shield frames = If you can rock 'em, rock 'em.

For what it's worth.

Agreed. If you can wear a female frame, then go ahead. If you can wear them with confidence, then it doesn't matter. But you must be careful with the colorways you choose. Don't take it too far. IMHO, that crystal pink Speechless should be left for the ladies.

To date the only female frame I've considered wearing is the Crosshair S. Regular Crosshairs don't fit me well. As David mentioned though, these aren't the "female frames" in question.

Yeah, wear what you like Ford, many guys bought a Riddle or even a Dartboard L because it looked good on them.

Your the fashionista man ! Dont let others dictate what you want to wear !

I suppose I should add that my favorite currently owned pair of sunglasses is a 5 dollar vintage pair I found on e-bay that's reminiscent of the OP-523 Brad Pitt wears in Fight Club, so take my words with a rather large grain of salt.

I say if you can pull it off, go ahead and do so. Apparently wearing feminine frames is fashion foward and avant garde nowadays. Look at the glasses you see on some rockers, rappers, movie stars and the like. As mentioned, the Dior glasses in Hancock are a woman's frame.

In the end, if you like them, wear them. Don't worry about what others say. Since I've been here in Calgary, I've seen a lot of guys wearing female-centric frames like the Dart, Behave, Eternal, and one even tried to squeeze into a Betray. Most can't pull it off, but it doesn't matter. I'm just glad they're wearing Oakley.

i have black and white Riddles with a violet lens and a black Dartboard L. Those 3 of my favorite pairs. IMO as long as you dont go with girly colors and feel comfortable sporting them then your fine.

Here's a picture of Richard Branson rocking out a pair of Darts at the Melbourne Grand Prix over the weekend.

Darts are definitley the most common women's frame I've seen on guys. Oakley could do well to re-classify these as unisex!

One day I'd like to get a Speechless. One day.

I agree that a man can easily rock the Darts...but the quite feminine cutout on the stems would qualify the Dart to be more of a women's pair than unisex, IMO.

I was VERY tempted to get a pair of speechless at the Irvine Spectrum O-store during the co=pilot trip. I think the darts, the riddles, and the speechless are very unisex, although I would probably rock a little extra stubble while wearing the speechless, just to be one the safe side...lol

the dartboard and the riddle i can understand. if you can pull it off then go for it. but some models should just be for women only, like the dangerous

You should have got them anyway Dustin! The more I look at them the more I think Speechless could suit. The Riddle and Dartboard have always been unisex (although there are "female only" colourways for sure on both pairs). Darts and Speechless are exclusivley women, and there are little things about those two that would nag at me if I did wear them. As Yukio said, the lattice pattern on the inside of the Darts, and the Speechless has these stylised lines around the icon which emphasise the feminine quality of the frames. And forget about polarized, it's written in the script font!

Well you're metro enough to rock the script font, right Ford? =)
