Maybe some of you saw this on my website, but here's a recent "self portrait." I shot it in low light purposefully to give a lot of grain and some distressed quality to it and cropped it very aggressively to add some "mystery"

The first thing that came to my mind was a mix between matrix and mission impossible. Really nice pic !

I've searched a good way to catch the fantastic color the Monster Dog 10w40. Here is what I got in the end, which is not really how they look in sun light though.

Great job, Francois. Backlighting is definitely your friend for translucent objects. If you run a quick search for "bright field photography" you'll run into some more examples -- stuff like wine glasses, etc.

Great pic, Francois. Stuff like that almost captures the item better than real life. Always fun to look at a great photo of our beloved O.

I honestly never really liked that particular color in the Dogs. But that photo made it look more beautiful than I ever thought they could be, Francois.

Thank you very much guys.

I tried the same idea with some water (color photoshoped) but I'm not that much happy of how it ended up.

Fantastic picture, Francois! That reminds me of an old A-Frame goggle ad where it looks like the frame is melting.

Nice shots Francois. I think that for the one with the water, all you needed was a little bit of fill light from the front left, which would help separate the glasses from the water a bit. It's a little dark and muddy over there, but a great concept.
