Well said everybody, like Freesh pointed out, we're all here for the same reason, and that's our shared love of Oakley.

It's Rick and people like him, who contribute and share, that make this forum and this site worth visiting.

RIP Rick? I hope that's Return In time, Please.

Longshot has posted a static thread at the top of the forum entitled "All members read this post." I think we all should read it and heed his words.

once more, i saw this thread just after it was made. and thought at first was that rick talking about moving.. so i assume that, and i was never aware of something this big.. that's why i posted in before it was "locked"..

to all the members that know him personal or more deeply than others like me how is a newbie here...

i wish him all the best ,even that i think we had a misunderstanding about the safty of my country... but that is in the past, and was something that was just left that way.. no insults or anything..

i think we are all grown ups , and besides this passion we have , we have our own lifes... i mean have ups and downs, inside the o-review and our daily life..

and i agree we should get back on the main topic here we all love oakley, and would like to share this with others..

this only shows us that, " you don't know what you have till it's gone"
we all respected rick and admire him and by his choice of taking a break,

till your return i hope you come back and amaze us with you new o collection.

Rick you have your reasons for going but do not let the few ignorant ones be the ones to make you leave. That was pure childish ignorance on their part.

Hopefully Rick will come back in time. I for one, will miss his humor, his wit and his helpfulness. Probably none of us would have found out about the Flores Gascan in time to get one except for him, just one example of many.

Domo Arigato, Dr Juliet!

I certainly think we can tease one another but hey lets do it with a good heart, and check the profanity at the door.

Hopefully calmer minds will prevail in short time and we can get back to admiring Rick's collection and new additions - along with his great posts and positive contributions.

Sad to see him go, hope to have him back soon, respect his choice if he decides to stay away.

Well, I read all of these, but never post anything really....but on this I had to. I'm just a kid compared to a lot of you guys so you are all like role models to me and I really try to build my collection after some of you guys. The Juliet and the X-Metal family is what really got me in to Oakley years and years ago so a man with such a collection had a big impact on how I thought a collection should be. All out. Although I never talked or dealt with Rick he was sort of a role model to me, and I hope to see his return.

I too read the forum almost daily but rarely post. i think this whole thing is just rediculous and i know how much rick contributes to the site, his collection gave everybody something to strive for and he was always willing to help other o-reviewers out. if he doesnt return he will be missed greatly.

this guy is more than just a member, more than a role model...he is an O-Review Ambassador to the Far East. Our gateway to first hand Japanese Exclusive (Ti clear Juliet, Flores GC, WBC exclusive and etc...)

met him in person, humble personality, well spoken and great sense of humour. He is definitely true to the game.
What a big loss! don't know what we are missing until gone.

now if I make you one of those custom TiO2 Penny, will you come back??

Judgement! Man what a concept for running away from our own fears and responsibities. We use words without ever considering the weight that it brings to others. We hide behind words like love, hate, bad, good, god, devil and any other word that best lets us hide from our truth. We hurt others so much because we react to the passion and don't ever take resposiblity of the weight of our own judgement. There were alot of hurt people here and it doesn't really matter who is at fault. Fault is just another word for an excuse not to give effort to understanding. Is it that easy to blame so we don't have to put effort in the truth? People don't say hurtful things unless they are hurt. The fact is everyone concerned including the person we are writing about and the person he may be angry with, deserve our compassion. I miss everyone who is not finding connection with this place and it's meaning. Here is to all the people who have judged and have been judged. I AM MY OWN STONE!

Rick always managed to shed light on my metal queries. This Doctor is the foremost X-metal specialist. Thanks Rick! Don't know what went on but you can't keep a good man down.

Wow.

I missed like 5 days of The Review and I missed out on some major happenings.

I'm sorry to see you go Rick (even though you most likely won't read this).

I wish things could just be relaxed like they used to be. Such is life though.

Hopefully this teaches us to be more respectful of eachother on here.

I also think its funny that Rick is still ranked #4 overall according to weighted averages with his entire collection removed. I can't remember where he was before he did that.

Impressive.

I know this is pretty much a dead topic but I don't give a damn. I wanted to say I doubt this website will ever have anyone quite like Rick again. I hate to see a guy with a great sense of humor like you Rick leave. I really appreciate your posts and insights. I hope whatever you end up doing you enjoy yourself. And remember even though you are no longer a member there is nobody else's collection that I envy more than yours!
