thanks about the 3000th post guys!

i agree with Mr. Juliet. if Mars make the children call you a monster, what if you showed up to class wearing a Medusa?
;)
as much as i would love the Crosshair to win (which isn't likely) i'd still be happy with a piece of Oakley history. it would be a landmark addition to all our Oakley collections.

If you want proof that a gascan doesn't fit a girl, then it's here on this very site and has little with my face. But it's a man's world. Majority rules. ;)

ok it doesnt fit you, your ONE girl. all we are trying to point out is that for every one girl it doesnt fit im sure there are a million that it fits great for.

ALL oakleys wont suit ALL faces, cant be helped im afraid.

It seem like the poll has settled down in voting over the past couple of days. Sure seems like MonsterDog is the likely chosen one, since it's at about a 2:1 to the others. Do we still need to allow more time, or are we comfortable with the MD decision?

While I won't claim to have the colorway answer ... I think it might be a good idea if our 3 different options are designed in such a way that provides 3 unique options for Oakley:

1. Completely new colorway (such as the orange camo/ruby clear suggestion, both are not commercially available).

2. New to MD, but still an option that is commercially available among other styles (such as the carbon fiber/Ti Iridium suggestion).

3. Unique colorway utilizing existing MD components.

That is an excellent idea, and when we do that poll, we will be able to give Oakley 3 choices in the order wewould like the most.

A MD with parts already available would be my LEAST favorite option, because its only the signature that would make it unique, but even that option would be better then nothing !

So each member would cast their vote for frame/lens in 3 separate categories? That could be fun. Will we be doing this in the same fashion as the Poll for model? If so, let me know when it's ready to go.

So a poll for frame/lens together or vote on the frame first? Or the lens first? I think it would be wiser (yet more work) to split it up.

yeah 3 seperate polls would work the best. then there can be no dispute cos the results will speak for themselves.

1 poll: frame
2 poll: frame collor
3 poll: lens collor

combine those...done!

I dont think that frame color and lens color should be separate. We should be voting on the color combo. I dont want to end up with a cinder red frame with Hi-Blue lens...or maybe I do...

I think lens and frame need to be combined. Voting for the colourway from so many suggested colourways.

I'm with Phil, I think we need to vote on combo rather than frame and then lens which could result in some pretty nasty combos (not in a good way) This alone would be enough for Oakley to say no because in the end, its their name on the product. I remember someone saying this is why Oakley limits BTO to certain colors, to avoid thing like a Green Camo/Ice combo.

Cinder Red with HI Blue....there's a thought!

I agree with you guys on the combo, but I thought it would give us a whole lot to chose from. Choosing seperately might give a totally unexpected combo. Like Cinder Red / HI Blue....

good point, but then it will get complicated deciding which combos get to be in the poll.
surely once the frame colour is decided people will be sensible enough to vote for a lens colour that will look good in the frame. cos im sure none of us want a silly looking combo.
i think this way makes it more democratic?

Lex has a good idea, we can vote on Frame and then combos with only the winning Frame color.

white emerald combo will be my personal favourite. Maybe some guys can make some combos with photoshop.

but i think a lighter lens will be more handy, because of daily wearing. G30, H.I. Persimmon, (EmSlate, VR50 Gold, Ruby Clear, G40(???))

For some reason, Oakley are not willing to make emerald lens anymore, except for the last Ichiro they put out.

thats why i wrote them particular, like the other lenses, that have no high chance, maybe the ruby clear left out...

I do wonder what's best for the next step. Would it be cheaper and would we have a better chance if we go with stock frame and lens colors for the winning frame? Won't it matter either way if they make us a custom frame color and lens or assemble a custom/sig from stock parts?
