IMHO , half jacket lenses with custom graving would be the best .

Cheap and Good , but i would like to have 00 blue iridium

We also wouldn't look like weird if next time there's an international oakley meeting in so cal.
Imagine everyone with da same frame and lenses ;)

Obviously, if this was to come to fruition, (and that's a mighty big if) we would each love to see our favorite model/lens color chosen, but it's the fact that they would be O-Review customs that would make them special. Therefore, I would be happy with any model/color combo. Obviously a Juliet would be up my alley, but I'll go with anything so long as somewhere it is designated/enscribed with the words "O-Review". A Dann Thombs signature on the lens would be sweet too!

Think more about Gascan or agree with Splice. An O-Matter will be fine, so think a Pearl Combo will look awesome. Maybe Iam hooked from this 30 years Gascan (Pol. white/Ruby Clear).

But lens color should be not sth easily like grey or sth.
More one of this H.I. series or from the Ichiro this Emerald Slate, but this will be unrealistic.

A Juliet will be the highest thing we grab, but it only have to do with the lens signature and maybe serial. We saw many nice Customs, so a Juliet with his long earpads will be nice.

But if it works, I want a pair!!!

If you want to exclude the female types, then by all means go with the monster dog or gascan. Should we really be excluding members, or going for frames that would actually fit people? ;)

I think that if we're serious, it can't be something too expensive. For instance Oakley would laugh in our faces if we expected them to make a custom Crosshair. Not gonna happen.

But something like a Five 3.0, an XX, or an unknown, or the half jacket. In the case of the unknown, it has so few colorways as it is, and it will fit more people than a MD would. The half jacket is also so customizable anyway. Not only that, but it's also one of those frames that will fit the most number of people.

If we're serious (which I'm guessing we're not), it needs to be something that Oakley can actually do for a small group of people without it being too much skin off their nose.

O Matter or X Metal frames leave some of us Asian members here in the dust though.

Help Asian Fit?

Think not about about HJ, they are made for sports, so GC, MD, or Unknown are ok.

Well the half jacket can be worn however you like to wear it. It's also on that list of frames that fit the most people, and has the advantage of being easily customizable by Oakley. :p

As for the gascan or md - it's like extending the middle finger to the girls here.

Do you think that they'd do an Asian fit of whatever they agree to, just as they would in real life have two versions? It's the most fair...

I have another vote for that halfjacket - it's a good size, and you can take the lenses out easily if you don't like the frame, and visa versa. Also, its relatively cheap compared to the X-Metals, so would provide a viable option to the vast majority of members.

XLJ or the other lenses?
But for signature? Idon't know, would suggest an other O-Matter Pair. More glamorous

Hear ye

Considering that there is a number of half jacket owners in o-review :

If we get a sunglasses , we need to get 500 MADE.
If we get just half jacket lenses with the custom engraving , we probably wouldn't have to get a minimum of 500 pair of sunglasses lens made.

Also , if we made the lenses ONLY , If some people don't like the combination , they can switch back.

But if some people were to hate the "gascan" or "splice"
after buying it , they would be stucked with it forever , so it gives an ease of flexibility. With the ability to change lenses

If we were to make 500 splices or 500 gascans , im sure we can't totally agree on the sunglasses - frame option and the lens options . And with the slightly expensive cost of "estimated" $150 USD? It will definitely earn the dis-approval of the minority o-members here. So i don't think everyone would get a chance to own it.

M-frame is totally out of the question , furthermore Half jacket is also one of the most owned pair.

Im totally all for half jacket because of it's cost and flexibility to change lenses.

It's the lenses which has the signature , so the frame doesn't really matter at all.

Im sure people will be able to fork out for it .

Whether it's XLJ or standard lenses , it's fine with me

Of course we wouldn't send them ridiculous request like ruby iridium lenses , but probably even clear lenses?

Lenses which none of the half jacket owners in o-review.com owns yet..

i am liking the idea of half jacket.... preferably xlj since it is more technical, and the half jackets are technical....

50 x <an amount lower then 500> compared to $150 x 500 definitely makes a substantial difference .

We all know that making a sunglasses by itself is out of the question , since we all know that the signature on the lenses are WHAT we are AFTER...

so why not?

Since manufacturing a o-review sunglases is out of the question :

i can't do anything much about it since im only a member

Juliet lenses would also be great too , but think of the future members , they have to pay a premium of $300 (estimated retail value) in order to utilise the lens.

It wouldn't be fair to them.

And if we were to choose Fives 3.0 lenses for example , it would give us a big hit on our ego.

Let's say we take Monsterdog , it wouldn't be okay because even if many o-review members own it , it doesn't really look suitable for our female members ...

Half jacket , not too expensive , not too cheap and unisex , even annika sorenstam can use it.
Just RIGHT! =)

ALL THE WAY FOR HALF JACKET!

(Not to mention if we were to sell off the oakley half jacket lenses in the market , it would sell faster compared to md lens / juliet lens / fives 3.0 lens)
because of interchangibility.

Well i would have to say a custom half jacket or xx or splice. But probablky a half becuase it is kind of a good frame when it comes to eveyr ones head. We should try and get it so only we could buy them and once people saw them they'de want to join the web site. I'm all for it. M<ake it perferably a not so exspenisve frame so we all can enjoy. Or we could decide on one pair we all could go it.

No thanks for Half Jacket. Doesn't fit me. No matter what we choose, someone's not going to be happy.

My vote: Monster Dog Polished Black/Ti Ir/Silver Icons. All the parts are stock. I know, you think it would be easy to have it assembled from stock parts. I would settle for a Gascan (since that frame is the new "to have"), but wouldn't be able to wear it. I think XX is the way of the dinosaur now, as is the Splice sadly. The Five 3 would be cool as well. We have talked about this a length as we are among admins too and we still don't how we could really make this happen in lower qtys.

Half jacket is a very good choice. Count my vote for it.

I think it's pretty obvious that a single frame and lens choice could never be agreed on. Everyone wants something different, and no one would agree to purchase a model they really don't want.

How about just the half jacket lens, see if we could get 3-5 lens colors, I myself would by 2 standard lens as one set would go in anoher frame, right Dann ;-p

Personally, if an O Review Limited Edition frame was ever made, I'd probably buy at least 3 or 4 if not more - rgardless of the frame or lens color/design....wouldn't really matter to me. Sure I'd have preferences but to accomplish such a feat would be great in any form.

Well, the best option would be to find the 5-8 most popular ideas and then have a vote for the top 2-4.
Kim- I understand where you are coming from, I think the MD is not bad for females and I have see lots of local ladies sportin the gascans. I personally can't do the unknowns because they are so small, the MD looks alot like a grown up unknown.

The perfect solution would be to leave no one out. But to be realistic we could do all the voting and then have a mock "pre-order" to see how many units we are talking. I would most likely do two of what ever they are, other members are talking about multiple pair as well. IF we had a good number of guarenteed sold units I think Oakley would feel a little better about helping with this.
So far the most common styles have been
Monsterdog
XX (twenty)
Gascan
Half Jacket

And we have had many votes for the half jacket lens by its slef.

Since oakley had the BTO for HJ's would could maybe pick a frame/lens combo and have the option of just the lens or the whole pair and this would not be much different than oakley's set up for BTO.

As for Half Jacket lenses, I'd prefer the normal to the large. I know the large is more "technical" but I'm thinking from less of a collection standpoint and more of a "what looks nicer when you where them in public" standpoint. I'm also against clear lenses, as was said earlier, something you can actually wear. ;)

But otherwise I think we're making headway. Most people are seeing the sense of some popular O-matter or Half jacket idea, with a heavy favor to the half jacket, given the ease of how it can happen.

For me, we have to get the contacts first before we move forward with that idea; buying 500 of any given model same combo wont happen, ever.

For as many people who like x model, others will love another one and so on.

This site is young, maybe in time it will be a dream come true, who knows. Just want to be realistic here.
