Greetings Comrades!
I have been with the O since 2009. January 3rd will be my last day due to the integration with Lux. I never thought I would leave the O but life happens and I am thankful for the time and the people I have had the privilege to work with. This site was an unofficial but integral part of any new hires on our team. I have not been able to join officially before, so as to keep a professional distance, but what are they going to do now? Let me go?. This site and community has always been a go-to for myself and a lot of people at the O, so I am also thankful to Dan and all the members who have embraced our obsessions with the O.
My wife won't let me bring home anymore sunglasses as she feels a couple of hundred are enough, so I did what anyone of us would do......I stopped telling her!
Very humbled to be apart of this community.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!
Welcome aboard, that sucks you having to leave Oakley :( I wish the best for you, I know how hard it is to leave somewhere you put a lot of time and effort in!
Thanks for the kind words. I don't think I'll ever know how much this site plays a role in the official Oakley world, but I get reports like this, and it seems to be quite a lot. (I guess I have to be better about updating then)
Sorry to hear that you were amoung those let go with Lux streamlining the organization. Truth be told I haven't been as critical of the retail releases as I have their treatment of the employees during the buyout period.
Glad you're here now. Hope that you can find the collection tracker useful as we'd love to see what you have.
Protip for the wife, rearrange the collection every so often. New pairs will get lost in the shuffle. I've still never worn my Hollowpoint watch unless I was out of the state.
