I made up a good excuse to go back to the Seattle O-Store today (show the wife how badly I need some Why 8.2s). And despite the wife's potential embarrassment, I brought along my camera. The store staff were great in allowing some pics to be shared! Here goes:

Start with the new Dartboard L, not all that thrilling to me, but here ya go

I know we already had a pic of the Crosshair, but here is some more

Here is the Whisker (aka "fancy a-wire")

Very cool Why 8.2

And a bonus! I discovered that all this "trigger earstem" talk for the Crosshairs materialized on the Wardens. I guess they are using these new earstems on the existing wardens:

I hope that helps everyone out a bit. Go out and get em all!

finally!

whisker looks kinda flimsy to me, i think i'd rather have an a-wire

i'll definitely need to try on the why 8.2

i'm lovin the Crosshair and the Whisker! i need a pair of Crosshair as sunnies, a Black Whisker for RX glasses, and another Whisker for sunnies... gotta save up some money.

as for the trigger Wardens, the hinge looks better than the regular ones... the trigger earstems look interesting as well.

Paul, thanks a bunch for the pics! The long lost trigger-arms... I had not expected them to be on the Warden.

Whisker bears a strong resemblance to the Thread RX frame. I think I like 'em.

yeah... my original plan was to get the Thread for RX glasses, then after seeing the Whisker... i like the lens shape of the Whisker a lot more than the Thread. can't wait!

does anyone know when these will be shipping from Oakley.com? or any other reputable dealer for that matter...

Another little side-note to the Crosshair. A pretty slick little feature is that the very tips of the earstems curve out just a little. Aids in sliding the glasses on your head and avoids any unnecessary stabbing.

Thanks for the pictures, Paul (and thanks to the store for letting you take those pictures, as I know some don't approve of something like that).

I've read on this forum that the Why 8.2 was very Matrix-y. They were right; it does look like Blinde's Agent glasses.

Thanks so much for the pictures Paul!
I can't wait to see the WHY 8.2.
I checked this weekend, but the only new style I could find was the Dartboard L.

Amzing that you were able to take pictures, Paul. Usually employees (even managers) aren't really permitted to allow that kind of thing. Great pictures.

The glasses in The Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions were designed by Blinde. Agent is the style worn by *surprise*, the Agents. Hope this helps.

Thanks Paul. I've been waiting to see the Chrome/VR28 Black Crosshair. I aiming for that and/or the Grey pair. I am still not thrilled about the Whisker and finally, the trigger returns. I remember hearing it was supposed to be an "option" on the Warden, as if you could get both.

If it's anything like Thread, the Whisker does not have spring hinges. The thin earstems will flex, giving the same effect without an actual spring hinge mechanism.

No spring hinges on the Whisker.

The trigger earstem / 2nd gen Warden was a bit interesting. They actually only had the 1st gen Wardens on display and the staff person told me about the trigger earstems and went to the back to fetch a pair. So I'm not sure if they are just trying to sell out the current stock before bringing out the triggers or what?!

CrossHair looks like a better version of the original Wardens which I think I will have to get.

The Wardens in the pics have a retro Razor Blade Earstem. What do you think?
