One of the most reflective lenses that Oakley makes. The outside colors change niceley across the shield version. Looking through them can take a couple minutes to adjust. The colors are muted in a yellowish tone but contrast is increased I feel. Definitely try this lens out before purchasing.

Bought this lens as a replacement for my Titanium iri half jacket which had got badly scratched :(
From the outside it looks amazing, but at the edges there is a definate red tint, feels kinda odd, Not sure if I want to wear them cycling. Looks 5, to look through 1 (get titanium or +red)

I don't see why most people are down on this lens. I just got my first pair of them in the Hell Edition Frogskins, and I've got to say I love looking through them. I find the greenish tint very pleasing on both bright and overcast days. It's a lot like the Ray Ban G15.

On the outside, the orange is obviously a conversation starter. Looks great w/a matte black frame.

I was a big fan of this lens when i first got into Oakley. I had them in my straights and half jackets. But as I grew older I preferred more discreet lens colors. I still use then lens for yard work and such because it does offer great protection in Florida days. If there are any down sides to this lens it's that finger prints are easily shown.

Not a very good looking lens from outside too artificial looking. Gold iridium looks far more dressy. View through the base is good though and remarkably crisp! OO Red iridium and gold iridium looks heaps better than this artafical effect. A definate youth tint not really the look for elderly.

I really loved these lenses. I loved the way they made everything looked through them, crisp and clear. I used them for driving, skiing, and everyday wear. A little loud for the corporate environment but on weekends, they stayed on my face. I had them on my Romeo and they were my faves. Unfortunately, since they were worn so much, and with Oakleys' ease of scratches, they had to be retired. At first, I lived with some scratches but then they got out of hand. After trying unsuccessfully to get replacement lenses, I sold them hoping the new Romeo with gold would do similarly. Not really but not a bad lens color either. I give the Fire a 5 but the lense durability a 2. Nowadays, I am VERY VERY careful with all my other lenses.

Yea looking inside them kinda changes the color but i used them on the green yesturday and they were awesome it made the grass stand out more. And i get so much more attention with them on every1 notices them a lil more than just a reg black lens.

looks absolutely amazing. probably one of the most attention-grabbing lenses of all time. blocks out the light but doesn't do much for contrast. Don't really like the greenish-greyinsh hue when i look thru it but c'mon, wearing oakleys isn't jus about blocking out the sun and good vision is it? It's about look crazy cool and not many lenses come close

I was a huge fan of the earlier version of the Fire (circa late-90's). I had the first Plasma/Fire Juliet released in New Zealand and they were awesome. I liked the way things took on a green tone as you looked out your peripheries. I loved the way they looked and looking through them. The more recent releases have been less pleasing to me. I don't know how to exactly explain it but I think the latest Fires show little character.

I absolutely love this color combo. It is very bold and eye catching, If you are looking to get noticed....these are for you. They are also very functional as they are dark enough to block out the sun on the brightest days but can still be worn in the evening hours. SWEET, SWEET SHADES!
I FORGOT TO LEAVE A REVIEW.......5 out of 5!!!

The lens I wear most times caused by sport. Have them for M-Frame and they are really great. You have a good contrast and it's good for changing lights. Contrast much better than other dark Iridium lenses which are available for M-Frame. Very noticeable, but as cyclist you get what you want. No discussion about the Iridium color, they are like they shall, like fire, colorfull (red, yellow, bit green)

I just bought a pair of Fire lenses for the Half Jacket. It is yellowy-gold at the edges with a blot of orange at the centre. There are no red hues anywhere. Advantages: definitely flashy from the outside, looks sick with polished frames. Disadvantages: cost (about $10-$15 more than "regular lenses ie: ice, black, g30, etc ...), makes everything look a dull greenish tan colour when looking through the lenses. Its like looking through murky swamp water. In my opinion, I don't find that contrast is increased with the Fire lens. In fact, its entirely the opposite for me. There is no contrast as the brownish-green tint seems to make everything look drab - but that's just me. Its a compromise between function and aesthetics with this lens. For now, the fire lenses are still on my HJ. I'll take it off once the noveltly of having such an awesome looking lens wears off.
PeaceDivision -
I definitely agree with Dann and others about the tint shifting over the span of the lens, and I think it would be very distracting in a pair of sunglasses.

However fire iridium snow goggles are great! the shifting tint is spread out over a much larger area and isn't too noticeable. They are perfect for super bright days where I have to squint even with a gold iridium lens.

I compared them to my friends black iridium wisdoms and prefer the fire.
kanikedude03 -
i love the way this lens looks but i swear this lens gets dirty by the sunglasses just being in their case. I have to clean these lenses every few days.
Munkfish -
I quite like these - quite like the tint, and good for standing out when looked at. However, there are better lenses, such as 24k or Gold.
RubyMars -
Two upsides to this lense: Great contrast looking through thanks to the amber base and the tuning by the Iridium. Two downsides to this lense: Everyone who buys Oakley to be part of the crowd buys this lense. The "oooh, pretty" effect. Also the hardest lense to keep clean ever.
Pander -
Not the best lens to look through. But definetly one of the best te look at. The agressive look and the fact that you can't see the wearers eyes is just awesom! Will give you a lot of attention.

A staple of the Oakley line up. A nice lens but don't work well with every lens style. For instance, In my Straight Jackets they're a fine lens but in My Over-The-Tops they have an odd, color-changing appearance when looking through them
banarno -
Quite a nice soothing lense to look through, but not spectacular.
But most people buy this for what it looks like from the outside.

My 5 star choice, most of my Oakley come with Fire lens, I can wear them indoor and outdoor, sunny or cloudy... I just love them!
jumpman73 -
Another of my al time favorites. I just love the way these look. It is so cool to see the red/yellow tints in these lenses. I have these in my polished Juliet frames and my plasma Romeos. I enjoy these lenses so much I wore them when I crossed the stage for my Masters Diploma.

listen to Dann , he is spot-on with this lens , if you want people to notice you , wear these ! actually sold really well for a while
dj.MLYT -
These are great lenses. The ones I have in my 1st gen Romeo have a really nice red hue in them and they really do look stunning in the sunlight. They may not be as dark as say ice iridium or 24k iridium, but I really like how much they increase contrast. Green nature looks stunning through Fire Iridium. Only thing that could make these better is a darker tint, which you can find with the Polarized Fire Iridium.
dan-E -
A very bold, flashy lens for those that like to stand out and they work well with most frames. However, that greenish tint when you look through might not be for everyone. They didn't bother me but there are others I like better.

Having said that, while they might seem murky when you're trying them on inside a mall, they're excellent wear them outside a bright sun. The Amber base is soothing and the contrast it provides is very nice. Ironically, this is the one high-contrast lens that doesn't seem to work very well in lower light.
Wassaaaaaaaaaap -
Eyecatching. Fire lenses are great for very sunny conditions, but if you have the money I would suggest that you dish out a little more and get the polarized version. If you are on a budget though these will do the trick. These lenses scratch and smudge very easily. Be careful with them.
sparra -
Very surprised at the current opinion, I love fire iridium, and I haven't had any trouble with scratching. I like the changing colour and think that they look extremely cool, especially in the right frame, such as FMJ.
x-metalman -
Contrary to whatmost people think here, I love these lenses. Not as good as Ruby, but still very flashy. I like the increased contrast to. If you want an attention grabbing lens and can't get Ruby, go with these. They'll do the trick!
oogie -
I love the look of these lenses! However, I will say that many of the issues below about the color changes from center to the enge of the lens are true. Especially with the large lenses in the Overthetops (of course, the Ruby lens does the same). But I think the overal hue is great and the iridium look on the outside is wicked!
Litor -
Well I ordered these lens for my fives 2.0, hard to get them, I had to go to a to percision optics because the sunglass hut would not order them for me. At first I did not like them but I got use to them , they really bring out the yellow in the leaves in the fall and they brighten every thing up , their not the best for glare or really bright days but I could not order rubys or red iridium lens so I got these. oh almost forgot they scratch so easy no matter how careful you are with them.
alpha-Q -
i love these lens! they are great. though they smudge easily just wipe it with your pouch.
MelG -
Easily gets scratched. The 1st gen Fire lens looks more orange to dark orange, no yellow reflections. Very much effective during sunny days as you won't see the warm brown which only shows during medium lights.
LEX7 -
Im not a huge fan of the fire lens, granted it looks great from the outside but it really does make everytihng look rather a dullish green.
I have also found that somehow this lens gets dirty alot easier than all my others.
luke -
I love Fire... I love the way it changes colour when viewed from different angle.
So far I don't have a problem with scratches...
Like any other mirror lenses, they smudge from the slightest touch. It gets annoying when you forget to bring yer microbag.

BrianJ1888 -
Have these on my Mag Switch's. Like everyone says, they're a loud lens. More of a fashion statement than a practical lens. I'll probably swap these for some Ice Iridium's. The tint on these is a yellowish base, and it distorts your vision more than any other color I've tried. Driving with these should be avoided, because it alters your view of brake/tail lights. Skip these if possible (unless you want attention and scratched lenses) and get a grey-base or bronze-base lens.
NeptuneTQ -
I actually really love this lens, my favorite next to the Ruby. Then again, I really love flashy things, and this is definitely really flashy. These are the first lenses I've ever seen, on the Juliet model, and it made me fall in love with Oakley's. I like it because of how lively it is, most colors are pretty much stationary, but these lenses seem alive with the mirror polish and orange/yellow color changing. The negatives to me on these are, it scratches easy, REALLY easy, smudges like crazy, and it costs a little more. Other then that, these are my favorite other then the Ruby lenses.
kingphilbert -
I agree with Dann. It's a bad lens and too noticeable. When I wore this lens in Twenty I had noticed color shifts from the outer edges of the lenses to the center. It seemed to shift form a green to almost a warm brown.
