Had this lens in some Pro M frames, by far my favourite Oakley lens to look through on a bright summer day. Gives everything a blueish tint. Ive owned black iridium, fire, titanium and bronze. This is the best for Road cycling and looks pretty sweet too, Sort of a very dark red to purple. Just don't wear when its cloudy or you risk death :/
-

Nice lens color, looking through it gives off a nice blue tint. On the outside its more often blue/purple than red. Good for cloudy days as well but I prefer ruby over +red
-

I think this is the simply the best looking lens that Oakley makes. (How I wished they would make these for X metals and also make a Rx version) Of course the base tint is just grey so looking through them really isn't that exciting but knowing that you look badass is!
-

Beautiful effect like a blueberry/plum color. From the front on they look very purple/red but I think it looks ultra cool great on men or women! View through base is very grey though but fully tolerable! They do dirty up easily but I found they clean ok. Will attract the looks from people, when I wear my Jordan OO's lots of people look in envy. I think because they like the cool look. Not really suitable for overcast weather I think in overcast the gold iridium is better for it's high contrast. A definate great one for me I will stick to them while I can still obtain them!
-

i love these lenses. the ruby lenses i had felt a little bit too flashy at times, so i cut some +red lenses down for my juliets. a bit pricy, but worth it. also, i think the grey base is a little better at contrast than the ruby lenses' blue. colour shifts from smoke (straight on) to indigo and a deep glowing red... perfect.
-

looks great on the outside. nothing special on the inside. looks spectacular on display. i had it in my cobals eye jackets a long time ago. disappeared for a while but came but in a big way recently. u wanna attract the looks, this is the way to go.
-

I guess these provide an alternative to the Ruby lens if you are one of these freaks who must have a "deep red" lens. To me, they are quite unspectacular. They are red, what more can one say? I had a set in a Wiretap but they bored me. Sorry.
-

Amazing lens.. deeper reds than Ruby, and it has shades of blue and purple depending on the light. I'm personally a fan of a grey base just because it doesn't alter my vision at all. I wish Oakley would produce more models with this lens!
-

In my opinion, the most aesthetically pleasing lens that Oakley has made - better than ruby iridium! The hues shift from purple, to red, to blue depending on which angle the light hits the surface. Functional in bright sunlight, but I would not wear it in low light situations - its too dark. I have this in my Square Wire 2.0. To reiterate what some of said so far - they smudge very easily so keep a cleaning cloth handy when you wear them.
-

The follower of Ruby, near the same blue base, but with nicer mirror. For all who want a red lens, buy this one. If you cut them into the glasses you want you can cut out the yellow part and the lens will be amazing. But not the best lens for people who want a high contrast. Good for bright light, but that's all
-

The base colour is boring... grey (or blue). But the colour of the mirror is incredible. Mostly red to blue, including purple etc.
Personally these are the better rubys - grey is boring, but much more comfortable than the ugly blue base from the rubys. And the purple/red ruby's are very seldom... a nice +red is easy to get 8).
-

I love this lens and first got it in a Square 2.0 SH. It looks really great in the red oxide half-wire. I love how it changes tint depending on the lighting and angle. It's does the job for me in bright lighting conditions. Only problem is that it's really hard to find now, other than in the M-frame.
-

Just placed them in my Square Wires and they look really cool. The combination of the red and blue tints make it look real special. Looking through it is also very nice. It says the base tint is grey, but I think it's more of a blue-ish base.
-

Love these lenses - really stand out - and good when you want a more bluey-red (unlike ruby). A real eye-catcher. Have them in both Wiretaps and M-frames, and are fairly consistant (although the larger M-frame lens is more bluey.)
-

This has got to be my favorite lens as far as the look. Ruby and OO blue come close, but when you think about it, wearing this lens is kind of like combining those two. Too bad it's so hard to find. :(
-

I can't get enough of these lenses. They are awesome. Awesome red look from the front and pretty good clarity when you look through them. I have these in my M Frames as well as customs for X-metals.
-

This is my favorite lens. It is the most soothing on my eyes. I like the way the world looks (Dim and blueish). I have this in my clasic frogskins and 2 M frames.
-

This was my first Oakley lens. I had it in a Sub Zero. It's a bold color & is dark enough for bright sun but fairly flexible for other conditions too
-

I tried this in a C-Wire. While it's certainly pretty to look at, wearing them was less great. It reminds me a lot of the transmission of plain grey, but a little murkier. I think it's the bluish tint. Overall a decent lens for fashion and casual wear.
-

Not a bad option for less than bright conditions. They change color at different angles and lighting conditions (very cool, I haven't seen this with any other lens option so far). The problem is that frequently they appear pink. I just got tired of it after a while. I prefer the Ruby out of all the non-dark color lenses.
-

Not the best tint on a bright sunny day, better for an overcast day or even just before dusk.
Lovely Blue/Red fade to look at,it looks even better than Ruby in my opinion.
-

On an M-Frame heater, the color goes from deep blue/purple to bright gold/yellow. It's certainly one of the most interesting lenses to look into, but perhaps not look through.
-

AWESOME lens color. I prefer this to ruby iridium in some frames, and really wish they had x-metals with this lens. Tint is a nice neutral blue, and is dark enough for average wear.
-

best lenses for snowboarding , very nice look , were pretty nice in the sq.wire chrome and A wire chrome
-

smudges too easily, but the colour is just plain lovely..
it looks great in a black m frame with white earsocks...
great for almost all conditions, except when the sun ain't shining of course =)
-

Great, solid all-around lens. Even though there's a grey base, the +Red Iridium coating gives everything a slight blueish hue when you look through them and it gets even more blue at the sides. The rainbow of colors from the front make them look really cool, especially on a set of M Frame Sweeps. It's a happy medium between Grey and Black Iridium to look through and flashier than either one.
-

I love the Iridium coating on these - the different colours from different angles are great and look really funky. With good light transmission and increased contrast, they are also nice and functional to look through, too.
-

grey based lenses with a very nice Iridium coating; they look blue straight on but changes from gold to red at certain angles... very cool. i find the tint on these lenses not as dark as other grey based lenses, such as Black Iridium or Ice Iridium. they tend to smudge up very easily though, and no amount of cleaning can make these lenses look pristine.
-

Great lens to look at. This very unique Iridium color changes appearance at different angles and light conditions. From straight-on, it is a deep blue in the center and fades to red, then orange, then yellow at the edges. At certain angles, it can be a solid bright red throughout. Unfortunately, the base tint is a plain grey that doesn't do much for me.
-

A great lens with a surprising amount of depth to the range of colors generated based on the angle of viewing. From deep purples to bright red/oranges. While the hue looking out may be questionable, my main complaint is that the iridium tends to look best only from strong angles, and simply a bit plain from straight on.
-

Great lens, I think they should be standard on Oakleys I have no idea why they are not. They cut out glare... not too dark nor too light I really can not say enough about how good they are....
-

I have this on a pair of my Sub Zeros
I dont like this lens, it looks great from the other side but is very pale to look through and offers practically no protection from the sun. it makes everything a very pale grey
i swaer my Oakley light blue lense is darker.
its definately lighter than OO red iridium.
-

Very nice lens tint when looking through them. Dark enough for bright sun but still usable when the clouds come. From the outside...hrm. Looks real nice in some frames (Racing Jackets, White Chrome Minutes) but not so good in others. Seem more prone to scratches than Ice or Black Iridium but maybe I haven't been as careful with the +Red.
-

A favorite, although I never could bring myself to buy the glasses that this lens color was featured in (at the time). What I would really, really like is this lens color in the OLD Plasma Juliet's. Would that be sweet or what? I think I saw a picture of such a thing on one of Oakley's promo sunglass display photos somewhere but as far as I know the company never really such a frame/lens combo. D'oh.
Does tend to tint things a little blue, so exposure to the world without sunglasses after having seen it through these lenses is almost as shocking as the same experience is with Ruby lenses which are even more blue.
-

Always a great lens, and then for a while it disappeared. Luckily it came back in a few wires, then in the M-Frame and so on. It always did seem to be and M-Frame lens color more so though. Maybe that's just where I was used to seeing it. Anything Crystal Black in the 90s had this lens and it was great with Planet X on the Sub Zeros. A grey base with a blue hue when viewing and it always went from gold to red to blue. Never actually was just Red.
-

I've used this lens in a pair of Racing Jackets. They are similar to Ruby, but have a purplish hue towards the outer edges of the lens. Looking through them darkens your view, but also tints things blue towards your peripheral vision. They are very nice lenses that work well in bright sunlight and also towards the evening.
