I searched the forums and the database but can't find the answer to my question, so I guess I'll post it here. Were +Red Iridium lenses ever made by Oakley for the Penny? I have a pair in my possesion that look like +Red, and look too high quality to be made by someone else. Maybe they were made in a limited amount for the release of the first X-Men movie(s)? I read a review on here and someone claimed to have a Carbon/+Red Penny. Any thoughts? TIA for any help you can give.

A few months back I stripped an XX that had the FMJ Red coating. It's kind of a sad story because I actually liked the FMJ Red coating (I bought them on ebay for a good price), but I went to put new lenses in them and as I was taking the old lenses out, a big chunk of the red coating came off with one of the lenses. In response to your question, I removed the FMJ with my fingernails because I didn't want to damage the finish underneath. Yeah, it took awhile, but probably less than 45min-1hr. Just get your fingernails going really fast! LOL. I don't think I'm going for the deconstructed look like you are. The o-matter underneath the FMJ is black in some places and silver in others, so I think I will eventually paint the frame. I'd like to do a chrome look (similar in appearance to Oakley's "Polished Aluminum"). Anyone know what paint Rick used on his chrome MD's? Oh, wait I think he maybe paid someone else to do them. Anyway, if anyone can help me source the correct paint to do such a job, I would really appreciate it.

I'll second that one Ooogie! The 0.3 is just so out there and screams Oakley design. And it's harder to come by than the OTT (which would probably be in my top 5). I love my polished carbon Ichiro's too, so tough to choose just one...

Ian. Wow. Sorry to hear about all that sh!t that happened to you. Couldn't have happened to a more undeserving person. Glad you have the X-Squared to help console you. I guess it is a Merry Christmas after all! Hope your foot (and the rest of you) heals quickly so you'll be back on your feet in no time. Sucks to hear about the car. Anyone ever seen a "Fingerprint" O-Frame Goggle? Are they rare? Do you know what year they debuted? I have come across someone who claims to have 5 of them to sell (brand new--mint in box--at a very good price, BTW). Just curious if I should jump at the opportunity or not. I would also recommend the Hijinx/Antix as well as the Eyepatch or the Oil Rig for those with big noggins. The X Metal XX or the Romeo 1 or Romeo 2 would also work fine if you can get the smaller temple shox (or T-shox). Also, the vintage RazorBlades always seem to fit huge on me as well. You can usually find them for a good price on ebay as well.

You don't wear anything!? That must be a sight to see. How do your friends and family tolerate you?

How about an Oakley bong? And no, I'm not talking about you Bong! A nice titanium alloy with cool rivets and icons would make it an attractive conversation piece.

P.S. I do not condone the use of any illegal drugs, I'm just sayin'. Also, some Oakley drivers (to match my golf club head covers) as well as iron sets and wedges. They would sure look sweet in those scatter-skull design O golf bags! My handicap is dropping just thinking about them! Carbon fiber shafts, titanium club heads, who better than the O to make this stuff? Even the unobtanium grips could be designed/manufactured by the O. Oh, and golf balls too, of course.

Yeah, I would say HI Blue (Yellow) or Ti clear. I really like the ti clear for cutting the fluorescent light glare at my place of employ. I didn't get any ghosting.

It would seem like the half-rim designs would be better for cycling (ie: half & flak jacket, M-Frame). I think having that bottom rim of the glasses in my vision when I'm riding is quite annoying. Oh well, it never hurt the old Racing Jackets, I guess. Maybe I will soon have 2 Jawbones, one in my ear and one on my face!
