These don't really fall under the category of photography, but I thought I wanted to share them anyways.
Over the course of this quarter (10 weeks) I choose to draw my Flak Jackets for my Drawn Design course in my Graphic Design major. Through maaaaaaany drawings, here are the final four.
Thanks for the comments. As far as orientation, a few factors went into that. My professor wasn't too thrilled about my object choice at first, since most people use industrial objects (pliers, hand tools, etc) that have quite a bit of mass and are pretty "volumetric." So, in an effort to make my object more dynamic and interesting, I folded one of the arms in and over the other. I also really liked this angle because it shows both sides of the lenses, as well as their thickness. It also displays how much curvature is really in the arms as they are not simply a continuous arc. In terms of page orientation, I was looking for something that was also interesting and kept the eye flowing around the page. This turned out to be the best way to achieve both.
We were also required to produce a process journal, which contains all of our sketches and work from the quarter, and mine is roughly 40 pages long...I'd post that as well, but I'm not sure how many would care to look through it, and I have no idea how to embed a pdf!
So let's bring this thread back, O-Photographers! There was some debate in another thread about Canon v. Nikon. I do this for a living, and having used both, my opinion is that it doesn't matter.
