it is the new random icons on hijinx, gascan and eyepatch! Totally sick and they are gonna start hitting sometime soon! Can you say $1 bills on icons! They will be totally random for the frame options and will rotate to a new icon when that one sells out.

OK ... I get it, sort of. I get different icons (we have seen flags, argyle and whatnot already). Is it just a big old random program that makes the pair like a prize in Cracker Jacks?? Anyone care to explain a bit further?

Well, I was just at that same O-Store in San Francisco this past weekend and I saw about 4 or 5 pairs of Gascans and Hijinx with various patterns on the icons. From what I understand certain stores will be receiving these "special" icon-equipped glasses featuring quite an array of cool patterns. Pretty similar to what our old buddy Total_O had been listing online. The strange part was that I was told you aren't really supposed to know what icon you are going to get when you make your purchase. That seemed weird to me since the staff had just finished showing me all the different ones they had in stock. My guess is that we will be seeing all kinds of cool icons on the pairs listed previously. As far as all this "mystery grab bag hubba jubba" goes, I can't see it working. Although, if they did want to play that game where I just grab one and see what I can get - why not put a $20, $50, and $100 bill in my pocket and see which one the person working the register pulls out!

Seriously, we are going to be seeing some really cool icons.

they are super sick, the way it will work is there will be white, black and rootbeer gascans, pol black hijinx, pol black and white eyepatch for the base frames. They are estimating that each frame will have a new icon about every month or whenever stock runs out, so if you order at the first of the month and say the 25th of the month, you don't know what you are gonna get as far as icons go. I have seen about 20 of the icons and they are so rad!

so they are going to be limited edition, but as collectors we can never have a complete set because no one will ever know what all the icons are or were intended to be? is it just me or does that seem...........hokie.

i an sure the icon are cool and i will be going to get atlest one (ok most likely more then one, who an i kidding) but how can you ever be sure on a complete collection. we cant even get a concencous on limited edition runs fike the frog skins, 3000 produced, 1500 produced who really know;)

I don't think anyone would want to collect them all. There'll be way too many of them. As Rick said, it's basically what Total_O had except offered to the public.

total-o only had a couple of the icons that are going to be available through grab bag. There are no flags that i have seen, everthing is different and color keyed, so there will be a money print for all 3 gascans rootbeer has brown print, black has black print and the white has green print. I think what most will do is maybe focus on a specific color or two and go after them. They will be limited on the other hand too. Something different and cool and they really look amazing!

So according to my data,
Gascan = Medium Square Icon
Hijinx = Large Square Icon
Eye Patch = ???

So are they all different styles across different size icons? Interesting. I would think they're try to commonize.

all icons are differet in size on the 3 models

I do think the EP and Montefrio are interchangable. Twitch is smaller.

OK, sounds pretty sweet. But it also sounds like a winner for everyone except us - who have likely already purchased our fair share of Gascan, Eyepatch and Hijinx. We're not generally the patient type when it comes to waiting 12-18 months to allow all the colorways to come out!

I guess I can always hope that the Icons are offered as an accessory on a direct or secondary market.

On the other hand, it makes some more unique collectors stuff.

you nailed it Bak, only those 3 frames will have the icons so they are all different in size.

I have seem some of the Icons, and while not all of them will be anything crazy, some of them are pretty cool, like the argyle.

Are the Hijinx icons vented???

no, they(hijinx) are flat from what I have seen so far. And I would guess that they all will be flat, you could not do much as far as print on one of the vented icons.
