I've been trying to get a pair of Oakleys for my wife, but we are having trouble finding a pair that fits. Every style she has tried on she says the feel really tight and "squeeze" her head. The Canteens look like they were made for here face they look perfect, but she has the same issue with the tightness of the frame. Any other suggestions? Is there any way to adjust the O-Matter frames?

Thanks in advance folks

Has she tried Monster Dogs? They seem to be able to fit everyone.

I've always thought Romeo 2s looked surprisingly good on some girls.

What about wire frames? Crosshair, Why 8.2?

How about a frame with spring hinges?

Dartboard is good - HJ's come in some nice colors for women and the Stems are somewhat curved for a roomier fit....

Plus they're flexible as hell. The Dartboards are a good choice

I agree on Dartboard. My fiance has Dartboard with pink lense and she loves it.

Why 8.2's....theyre completely lightweight and do bend out very well.

Agree with Dart or Dartboard. My wife also recently tried on the Disobey and really liked the look and fit.

Also anything with a spring hinge. My fav is square 2.0, but new Squares or big squares also have spring hinges.

*edit- As usual I am late to the party, I see this suggestion from Iwan.

Hmm, if the Canteen is too snug, I'm not sure that a Dart would do so well.
The Canteens are rather loose on Dawn's head. The Dart feels tighter for her. So based on that...the Dart might not be such a good choice.

I stand behind the 8.2 as the best choice.

The Dart's can be bent to fit anyones head. If the she liked the Canteen, the Dart may be a bit of a stretch for her though, she should try the Five 3.0. Very soft and no Unobtanium to catch her hair.

Avoid the whole squeezing behind the ear thing all together and buy her some Overthetops. :)

If she likes the style of the Canteen, but it's just too tight, go with the Five 3.0. Obviously not that feminine of a frame, but neither is the Canteen. I actually had someone make the switch from the Canteen to the Gascan S to the Five 3.0 at work today.

My gf likes the 5 3.0 very much, I'm not sure what she likes more, the brown smoke/bronze fives or her crosshair s, both are very nice. The Dart is really nice, I had one for myself. But it has one problem... there's no gap between frame and lense and it wraps incredible... when it was hot out there I had to clean it every 5 minutes.

Btw - when you buy a fives 3.0, check if it has the new, better stems.

The initial release of the Fives 3 had the straight stems, and we even have quite a few in store still. Any newer productions and definitely and Custom O Fives should definitely have the curved for a slightly tighter fit. It shouldn't be too tight though because of how flexible the Omatter for that frame is.

dart should work just fine and also the largest pair there is(meaning every girl that tried that pair in my store found it way to big for their face)is the Behave; now i m not sure if that is the kind of look you are looking for.

Wow thanks for all the suggestions folks. I'd have replied sooner but I didn't get a chance to check back while I was at work. As far as the Monster Dogs, she wasn't a fan. I have a pair and love them, but she didn't like them at all. Same goes for the half jackets, another of my favorites. She also had the same tightness issues with those. I think if she gets a pair it will have to be a pair of wires. Unfortunately for the Why 8.2s, she has a similar pair from a different brand that will remain nameless, so I don't think she would go for those. Maybe though. Thanks again everyone.

your wife cant have just one pair anyway man. I suggest get a few. Let the other pairs be the not so comfy pairs but most definitely let her have 1 comfortable pair :-)

I would say go with a wire frame preferably with a spring hinge and then just take them to an eyeglass store and have them use their tools to bend and stretch them to fit to her face. This is what I do to get my O's to fit my abnormally enlarged cranium region, so I'm sure they could adjust them to the proportions of your wife's face.
