From what I understand the lenses are being affected somehow by the case that they come in. The Metallic Red/+Red combo has been recalled and all other Radars are put on hold for now so there is no telling when stores will receive more shipment if they sell out.

The vents on the golf glasses are there to provide a predictable trajectory to make them easier to find after throwing them in anger when you've missed an easy shot. The defogging is merely a beneficial byproduct.

We got about 10 of the Red/Red combos when they came in. I didn't see anything wrong with them. And I don't anticipate them being sent back...

Honestly, I don't think you need vents with the new lenses. It was about 30 degrees the other morning plus 15mph wind, and I was sitting 30 rows up outside watching the GatorNats. I had my SI Beanie/Balaclava on, and the lenses on my FlakJacket would defog themselves without any aid. They hydrophobic coating makes the vents obsolete.

i ordered 3 pairs of flak jackets and 1 pair of metallic red/+red iridium radars from oakley.com... all were shipped except the radars which i was told were being held back for quality control issues.

just noticed at oakley.com that all the metallic red w/+red iridium radars were pulled from the web site.

+red is gone from the line up - replaced with vr28 black to match the flak jacket setup (metallic red frame).

I'm kinda glad to hear that...metallic red/+red is a little extreme...now if they would only offer metallic red/vr28 black in a pitch i would be in business

I want to buy good sunglasses for running. Which one is better? Radar or M-Frames?

Both should fit about the same, but I'd say go for the Radar for the lens if nothing else.

I bought my Radar's specifically for running and biking, and I am quite happy. The hydrophobic lens treatment is definitely worth the price difference,

There have already been many cool Sports Marketing Combos that have been seen out and about...

White (not Pearl) with red or black O's, polished black with pink, white, and red O's, blue with red earsocks, pink frames with black O's, polished red... the list goes on and on.

Julich is already rocking his trademark Gold Clear RX as well as HI Persimmon RX.

They look so amazing. I wish I hadn't waited so long to scour the internet for them. I figured if O.com recalled them, then everybody else did as well. Boy was I wrong. Also I didn't realize they came in a ballistic soft case. That helps make up for the high (retail) price that all Radars carry. I will post pics as soon as my mother-in-law returns my camera.
