Dose anyone know if they made a polished clear oil rig 2 frame found a set in interested in but can’t verify them through the data base thanks for any help - Jfdfirefighter26

The only one that I know of was the Polished Clear/Chrome Iridium(SKU 24-031), but there may have been an option through Oakley Custom, as well. Not sure, though. If there is no sku on the arm, It *could* be Custom. One way to tell if it's authentic or not is to check where it says Oil Rig. The letters will be kind of a matte, rougher finish instead of shiny and slick. Also at the tips of the inside arms, there with be a lightly engraved Square O icon. I hope this helps.

I have yet another stoopid question (I am just made for this thread): Do T-Wire 2.0s have to have a "Titanium" imprint on the back of the nose bridge to be authentic (/ can I assume if it doesn't have it, it's a Square Wire 2.0 frame, even if it has the "Titanium" etched titanium iridium lenses and white earsocks like shown here: http://o-review.com/database_detail_colorway.php?ID=481&table_name=glasses) or are there versions w/o it?

The T Wire 2.0 doesn’t have the “Titanium” stamp on the back of the bridge, which is incredibly odd since the Titanium Square Wire 2.0s did have that stamp.

The Titanium versions of the Square, and A Wire came out a year or so after the T Wire 2. Perhaps once they moved to designating extra colorways for titanium rather than an entire new model, they started to add notes to show the difference.

Did the original T Wire have the stamp (both versions with the elongated earsock and the updated shorter one)? I’m kinda remembering and thinking it does but am too lazy to verify either way. I’m pretty certain the re-issue of it from a few years back does but can’t 100% recall the originals.

That's still on my big list of things to get, so not sure at the moment.

I am truly sorry, but this is NOT a stoopid question!

I have now checked and confirmed the original T Wire (the one that looks like the E Wire) indeed has the “Titanium” stamping on the back of the nosebridge.

You guys are just a wealth of knowledge. What? The T-Wire 2.0 is basically a Square Wire 2.0 made of titanium (w/ very slight changes to the lens size) and then they made a titanium Square Wire 2.0? That's just madness. ;) Which ones are those in the DB?

Basically, the E Wire (1.0) in the 90s had a Titanium version, and they called it the T Wire. When all of the wires were scrapped and revamped in 2000, the T Wire 2.0 became a Titanium version of the Square Wire 2.0.

However as both T Wires only had a colorway or two, additional options were placed in the regular lineup, but for the Spring Hinge models this time. Funny enough, the price points were larger than some X Metals at $305 for polarized while the T Wire was $225.

The Titanium SqW 2.0 specifically are 05-865 to 05-868.

For completeness, I'd like to add that all rings true for the C Wire as well: o-review.com/database_detail_model.php?ID=41

Any other wire models from this time period?

Think that's it. E Wire 2.0/2.1 didn't have it.

There were plenty afterwards, but I think Bob was asking about the second wave of wires resulting from the 2000 revamp of the lineup.

I decided this was a good spot for this question...

At the 2009 Co-Pilot event, in the HQ Lobby store I bought a Juliet 04-119, Polished/Fire Polarized. There is no serial number on them, which I know happened toward the end of the Juliet run.

The issue is this: the lens does not say "Polarized". They are polarized, but there is no etching. Since I listed these for sale, two people have passed on them because there is no etching.

Does anyone have some insight on this? Was there certain models, or a period of time when they didn't etch Polarized?

OCP Polarized lenses don't come etched because you have the option of having them etched with whatever when you buy an OCP pair of glasses. I would imagine they're just OCP lenses, especially since it came from HQ, they probably have a whole pile of lenses to pull from.

I had a Store exclusive one time that was polarized, but since it had the etching, it didn't explicitly say so. In order to sell it, I just took a picture through the lens of one of those polarized POP displays. You could probably do something similar with an LCD screen just to show it.

The lenses are overlapped at 90°, and the middle part, if not transparent, is a polarized lens.

Or use a test card.

Probably eBay at this point. I think Oakley’s out of stock. Some of us bought extra supply when it was still available, but i don't think many are looking to let them go so easily at this point, though you might get lucky. Good luck!

Somebody gave me a New Eye Jacket (1999) in Electric Mustard with some scraped up lenses. Does anyone know if any of the other eye jacket lenses fit into it?

It is difficult to search for New Eye Jacket lenses.....
