Know what you mean man. Funny how state sponsered terrorism is OK when it is carried out with military jets instead of passenger jets.

Kids will be getting mowed down in the street before the end of the month.

Yup! just cant figure out how the kidnapping of two soildiers gives a country the right to invade another. i just hope we (the U.S.) keep out of this and not try to drag others (UK, Australlia, japan etc..) into it.

Ok good points but why invade Lebanon if the problem is with Palestine. With Hamas heading up Palestine I do believe they were elected by their own people, so an election is valid only when Israel thinks its okay? My argument is the US should not get involved and it looks as if we are heading down that road once again I wasted a year of my life in 90-91 sitting in a stinking hot ass desert for what, we than decide to go at it again and have more Americans die and for what. I believe a mistake was made in Iraq and we do not need to go at it again and get involved in this mess. If the US gets involved are you willing to go and fight over there? Are you willing to sacrifice the lives of your children and have them fight over there? Steven is right this is all a big shit pie and it looks as if we are all going to get a big ole slice of it.

read your bible ppl. watch cnn they go hand and hand. wake up world this is not a game this is real. prez. bush sr said "out of all the madness will emerge a new world order." "novous ordo seclorum" seen on your money. secret society groups like illuminati and bilderberg are behind it all. most of the presidents were members. such groups originated in europe. look at the statue of liberty..the torch. the illuminati"the illuminated ones" come from europe france to be specific. these are all puzzle pieces my friends and ive been putting them together mentally.
dont make me get into this debate ppl.

I think the problem Israel had with Hamas being elected was that they were the involved in a lot of terrorist activity in Israel. Israel showed that they were wanting peace by backing out of land and withdrawing troops.
I still believe the US should not be involved and military action should not be taken by Israel but will diplomacy really work in this situation?

Right, however the problem is that Hezbollah is working out of Syria and Iran.

The U.S. involvement comes from Beirut Lebanon where 25000 Americans live and work.

funny thing Hezbollah comes up Ebola in spellcheck.

well In all honesty I think this is Isreal flexing its muscles (under our permission) And this is kind of our way of indirectly telling Iran to back off. I also think that what Isreal is doing is totally justified and we need ot learn to be more like Israel. Ever heard of Mossad? Mossad Is the Israeli version of the US CIA, only they dont fight clean. I think that america is dooming itself in military affiars throught our intense morality, we need to learn to fight the way the rest of the world does. Without all of these stupid restrictions on our people our military would be free conduct operations in a way that would be far more effective. We arent even allowed to torture people anymore, I mean that sounds really barabaric but in all seriousness, the US is becoming too weakened by its own morality. Have you ever listened to what liberals have to say about this? "if we just sit down with the errorists and talk things out." That is so stupid, there is no talking to terrorists, they would kill you or abduct you and TEHN kill you before you could get a word in edgewise. This whole ethical treatment of prisoners is fine, if for example we were in a war with germany, who is an established nation and who follow (basically) the code of war, then ethical treatment would be fine. But when we are dealing with slime like muslim fanatics who hate us no matter what we do, the only real way to learn anything is to torture them until they crack. And I'm not talking about sleep deprivation and audio abuse, I'm talking about hardcore, hook their ********* up to electrodes and touch the wires torture, cut off a finger and make them eat it. They deserve it.. doesnt anybody remember 9-11??? They killed thousands of innocent US citizens!! WHAY ARE WE TREATING THESE PEOPLE LIKE HUMANS???! THEY DONT DESERVE IT!!!!! GAH this makes me mad!

Hoots, I'm amazed you think you can selectively suspend morality. Rejecting ethics when they 'get in the way' means you have no ethics at all. Of course, after reading this:

cut off a finger and make them eat it
I'm not surprised.

WHAY ARE WE TREATING THESE PEOPLE LIKE HUMANS???!
It's not for their sake that people suggest we not be utter savages. C'mon Hoots. Seriously.

It's not even clear what you're advocating.

What about the Americans they're killing? Do you have friends in iraq? I dont know why westerners even try and defend them. They would kill me and you and your family if it was within their capacity. Ethics are important, but when people like moslem fanatics do what they are doing in iraq to americans, englishmen (who have my utter and total respect for helping us the way they have, my deepest gratitude to all those brits who have our back) and other people who wish to make the world free, They deserve to be treated exactly as they have treated us, like dogs. I like to think of A line from A Few Good Men "in this world there are walls, and men who have guns have to stand on those walls" or something along those lines. bad things happen outside the walls that keep us safe. And we need to grow up and recognize that treating people such as them as humans is a waste of our morality. America is becoming weakened from the inside by people who dont understand that the terrorists hate us and would do anything in their power to rid the world of us. They are not people you can have peace talks with. And its stupid to defend their "human rights" and try and show them "morality" when they dont even know the meaning of the word.

Why is everyone so eager to lock threads, no free exchange of ideas?

and this is the off topic section,

Justin makes several good points and yet makes some miss-steps stating his ideas.

Like you can't talk to terrorist, they seem to only respond to force.

In addition, how do you deal with terrorist group working with in a country where the country won’t do anything to reign in the terrorist group? Hope they go away?

Justin, no offence intended but maybe you should take a few deep breaths before you post. Anyway, who exactly are "they".

Is it this boy depicted in the below link?

http://www.pal-soft.com/palestine/israeltruth/mohammad.htm

Ignore the animated, poorly worded text and just for a second focus on the dead kid. I am sure you will just imagine how many people this boy could have killed in the future if some poor israeli sod hadnt been drafted, given a rifle and been told to go defend the homeland.

Coming from the UK I know roughly how this goes having lived through most of "The Troubles". It was admittedly a lot smaller but the premise was the same. It was protestant against catholic instead of jew against arab. Only this time there was no oil involved.

To give you an insight I received most of my primary school education in britain where I went to a catholic school. There we were taught how, historically speaking, catholics had been badly treated by the protestants. I then moved to The Netherlands where no one cared and religious education was spent mostly playing monopoly or watching movies. I am telling you guys, as far as I am concerned that should be the future of religion.

That is not to insult anyone. I just cant fathom how people can use religion as an excuse to go and kill a bunch of people. But hell, it started with the crusades so who am I to stand in the way of a centuries old tradition????

These Battles/wars/conflicts in the Middle East have been going on for Thousands of years, this is not a hatred born of America or any other country, its a hatred born of the quest for power and who is right in thier beliefs. ( and because the west is generally against these beliefs they become a target)
This hatred is passed through generations of familys, grand Father to son, Father to son and the generations that follow that.
It matters not what the world does to stop this hatred between the different religions/nationalties, the hatred will forever exist...calming and exploding over and over again as it has done in the past.
I feel the best hope we have is that it is contained, for until the youth of these areas learn not to pass the hatred on to their children...this vicious cycle will continue.

I'm not going to play into the whole political issues of the current events in Israel/Lebenon....for as much as i think i might know, I really know nothing.
