Anyone wanna spill all the info on the Warden? I asked my local OPD and he said that theyre only for special people who are sponsored and such. I know theyre part of the stretch-line of Oakley as well, but I dont know what that means.

Any pics, info or anything, let me know. Oh yeah, are there different color-ways also? Thanks.

Yeah, I guess what Im going for is your guys' take on them. How big are they compared to the crosshairs? Are they more durable or less? They seem less from what Ive read.

I have both and I don't feel the size is such a huge difference, but the style is. The warden is very old-school whereas the crosshair is more a modern design.

Hey Osmosis.

The Warden and Crosshair are pretty similar in size. The Warden lenses are a little bigger, but that's just the design. The Warden will probably cover your eyebrows a bit more than the crosshair will.

The Warden first came out with straight earstems, but now they come with triger earstems. I have the polished Gold warden with both straight and trigger. The staight arms seem a bit thinner than the trigger arms, so in essesnce the straight Wardens feel a bit more fragile than the trigger Wardens.

The Warden has the strechline logo on top of the nosebridge, and that makes it look really awesome. Think of the Warden as your classic aviators and the Crosshair as a more unique oakley aviator

like everyone says, the Warden has been out for quite a while. like Fat Cats and Montefrios, Wardens are Stretchline items, and are only available at O-Stores, select OPDs and Surf/Skate shops. i got my non-trigger Olive Wardens when they first came out, from www.edgenow.com, great service and fast shipping.

Yeah, didn't they use the term "MacArthur" to describe the styling of the Crosshair? A little more edgy and aggressive than the Warden imo.

I own Warden polished gold/vr28. Originally I was supposed to get Crosshair but after wearing Warden I changed my mind and went for it. You should try both, Warden and Crosshair if you want to buy and wear one. If you want it just for collection, it doesn't matter. Go with your instinct. Seeing and wearing do not necessarily coincide. I love my warden gold even if I am not a big fan of gold lenses.

Those pics sure help. I didn't think the Wardens were that much bigger than the X-hairs.

Despite the size difference between the two they do fit very much the same. It just comes down to how you look in the round and square lenses. Whether the rounder Warden may hit your cheek or not. I think adding the trigger stems to the Wardens were a plus.

Justin, if your OPD is a stretch dealer (with the black stretch tower) then he should have no problems getting the Warden for you. If not http://oakley.com/o/o1118d

He doesnt. He only carries one stinking vault and has 3 single towers, but only 2 are used. Its a bit disappointing.

Call O and they'll be able to tell you if there's a Stretch dealer near you so you don;t have to go hunting for one out of all that may be around you.

Trust me, theres nothing around me. Even though I do live in Columbus, I think the OPD in the mall is the only one in my area...

You can also do a search on Oakley.com for Stretch dealers.
