The Mumbos... wow. Good luck with that auction. They'll probably never sell for anywhere close to that asking price.

But the OTTs aren't all that out of line. A bit high, but not like "fivewood!" (or whatever his name was) asking for $500 for something you could buy right on oakley.com for $130.

It just suprised me, because it only seemed like maybe a couple of years ago I bought mine for 100 pounds. That's an increase of over 300 percent!

The items of Dr.Chop skyrocket on ebay. 690 bucks of a 0.3p is huge, 2.000$ for a Medusa with scratched Goggles and a Bob as well... Is this a hype of some guys to own items from the 'big' Dr.Chop??? Do you think his name in the community rises the bids?

I don't know about my name out there, but the jackass on the Medusa hasn't paid yet, which I totally expected. I was stunned when it hit $800 let alone $2010 and it DIDN'T include the bob as stated in the description!!! I nearly fell over when I saw that bid placed. Sad part is the guy contacted me prior to bidding since he is in Spain and I don't regularly ship there due to all the fraud. The 0.3p is a whole different animal. It was basically mint, and included the original box, papers, and bag. It was as close to museum piece as you could hope for in a Zero. I personally don't like any zero, so it was a nice transfer for sure.

A few of those cases have actually sold on eBay for more than $1,000, so his asking price - although high - isn't necessarily out of line.

I was bidding for one of those about six months ago: it went for £127 in the end, so I'm judging it by my experience.

One eleventh would be lowball. Between a quarter to a third of "worth" would be fair, imo.

A true collectors quote.....sentimental value involved....I used to get that way with comics, look in the price guide and it says one thing, sell it to the shop and lowball offers abound. funny how collectables work huh? I personally wouldnt pay more than $100 for one, but thats because it isnt really all that important to me. One day I will come across one....until then Ill settle for one (or more) of these....
