I didn't realize what thread this was in and I thought you were talking about work. I was sitting here nodding my head when I realized Christmas was the topic.
We're way behind this year and I'm ok with it. We ordered some stuff online, we haven't sent out cards in the mail yet, and I've made zero cookies. All of that stuff would usually be wrapping up by now. But, like you said, no pressure.
Merry Christmas to you Dan. (Postmark that comment for another week and open it then!) - B3
Yeah, it was just me making an observation about myself. I think I put too much pressure on myself during the holidays. As cliche as it may sound - it is one of my favorite times of the year. So I obviously look forward to it - that means I put some expectations on me and it. No matter what gets done, doesn't get done, changes, or doesn't change, etc - when it's all over with it's a good time and being together is what's the most important part. PERIOD.
I hear ya Bob, we're a bit more behind with some things this year - even more so than years in the recent past - but I'm slowly becoming OK with it too. It just takes me a while to remember that there's no pressure - just enjoy it. I think with anything in life you go in trying to do the best you can - when things don't go as you had hoped it can be a little bit of a bummer.
Merry Christmas to you too Bob!!! (HA! Love it! Will do!)
