Oh yes, every small scale sculpture he does sells out quickly. It’s a pain collecting his stuff, since you have to be available and ready to sign up to buy whenever he says the signup date is. Fortunately, after owning a couple pieces, I’ve found I like looking at his art on IG more than actually owning it.

I hold the item briefly and put it back in the case. I hardly look at it and don't really have as much enjoyment as looking at pics of Bathgate items on IG.

OK, I understand. Plus in my opinion they seem kinda pricey if you actual use it as a slider, etc. If that makes sense. They're definitely sculptures/works of art - almost more to view and appreciate than to handle daily. Again that's just my opinion. Although that's not unlike me with a lot of my Oakley collection. I don't use even 1/3 of my eyewear. So me owning Bathgate pieces wouldn't be that much different I suppose.

As long as you can have some enjoyment out of the item, it’s worth the purchase. I don’t really use the Bathgate stuff functionally as sliders and haven’t had a desire to look at them either, so there’s really no enjoyment from owning it.

Oh Banksy. Such a prankster. Takes a lot of balls to destroy a $1.3m work of art:

I didn't look into it yet but since it says Collector's Edition I wonder if this will be available as a general non-signed release at some point?

Yeah very quick turnaround, I was surprised just how fast it go there and came back and the frames I got done are just beautiful. Defiantly recommend having a custom pair by Wavelcoud. You won't be disappointed.

WTF:

View this post on Instagram

When I said my next project was “Knife related” I chose those words very carefully. A few months ago a friend of mine lent me one of his prized OTF knives to take apart and fiddle with. I was so taken with the mechanism that I designed my own (mechanism, not knife). It was a more tubular design that would work inside of a sculptural object. So now here we are with what I am calling the “OTFB”. It is not really a pocket sized sculpture but it does fit in with the more design-y projects I have been making and was undertaken out of respect for the knife communities influence on machining as a decorative (as apposed to utilitarian) craft. I have written more on this on my blog, link is under my bio. #cnc #art #knife #knifemaking #knifenut #knifesale #knifestagram #machinist #sculpture #edc #edcgear #fidgetspinner #fineart #makeartnotparts #maker #contemporaryart #fidget #kineticart #kineticsculpture
