Great Oakley mad science action. This case is very cool looking and functional for protecting glasses. There aren't many non RX frames that fit it, but so far I found the nanowire 1.0 just barely fits, and the square wire 2.0 fits well. I actually got this free with my Why 8.0 which is kinda ironic considering they don't fit in it.

Uniquely Oakley and a great design, though I prefer the look of the regular torpedo case with the plastic O that comes on it. I think it just adds a little something to it and breaks up the monotony of all the silver. Nonetheless, this case is great and really comes in handy. Only from Oakley would you get something like this with a pair of Rx glasses.

I have 2 different cases: a small soft vault and this torpedo case. If I compare these the soft one is better to carry around for its lightweight, but the metal provides much better protection. The overall look is nice, but a bit bulky.

Not bad, nothing too special. Cool design and I kinda like the beat up look for a change of pace. Definitely not as nice as the Nanowire case which is just sexy and classy. I can see how this fits well with the x-metal image but it just doesn't fit any of those. I got one off eBay to hold my Whiskers. Color somewhat matches. I guess if it started out looking beaten up, it won't be too bad when I beat it up more. In the end, as long as it protects my Oakleys, I'll be satisfed.

Got the case with my Rx glasses. Oakley.com says most (if not all) of the Rx glasses come with case under their description. Since I'm at school, I made sure my mother badgered the store into giving her one and some microbags.

I wish it was a bit deeper, I don't feel comfortable throwing the glasses in there in slapping it shut. It doesn't seem like it is deep enough to safely house them. Without a microbag they just slide around in the case.And I'm sure I will eventually lose a finger when I'm closing it. Holy cow. I give it a 4 because of the size.

Almost everything has been said about these and I would agree with all of it. Only thing I would like to add is some soft foam padding underneath the felt lining

Nothing special about this one, very plain looking, but will protect your sunglasses well, perfect for the car or quick transportation.

got these with my rx...it served it's purpose. But a really bad idea to just throw it anywhere in your backpack with heavy textbooks. Protected my glasses, but somehow badly dented the torpedo case.

these are great i love that my optical doc gives them with every rx purchase i have 3 and will soon have 4 and i did not pay for any of them. although i would gladly pay for them they work great just watch the closing action it will take your fingers off =)

Great for my RX spectacles. Excellent protection and the design screams Oakley. If they fit the larger sunglasses, this would have been really popular compared to the ballistic softvault.

I am giving them a 4.5 star mainly for the fact that the opening and closing of the case could be improved via the addition of some form of handle.

Simple, elegant. Easy to bring along. Too bad it doesn't fit X-metals.

A great improvement over the original (square) metal vaults. Yet with all the great size and feature comforts of the torpedo case ... Oakley still hasn't figured how to avoid the "finger pinching" problems?

This came with my Chop Top 6.0 Rx glasses. It's one of the coolest cases for glasses that I've ever gotten, especially for free. And like adamjmoore said, the spring is VERY tight.

Got one of these with my Thread 2.0 RX glasses. The only difference I see between this and the Metal Vault is the debossed O rather than the gunmetal icon. Lightweight yet strong and felt-lined to protect your glasses.

Great design, the spring closure is a pretty tight so just make sure you watch your fingers!

This is different than the small metal vault which came out recently. This model came with Rx eyewear and wasn't sold commercially. It is a nicely crafted vault with rivets to prevent it from rolling away.
