Frame: Glow in the Dark/Neon Yellow/Dalmation/Matte Red
Lens: Bronze/Fire/Grey
What a great throwback. The New RazorBlade didn't fair as well, but the great colors coming out of the Frogskin re-release have been exceptional. Now instead of risking a break in the classic pairs, we can look oh-so dorky in our new pairs without fear. The Glow-in-the-dark is the most impractical pair, but it's nice to see useless designs returning, since they will sell anyway. Neon Yellow is loud and great, while Dalmation brings back the odd frame prints. Best to grab these directly from Oakley since the scalpers are cashing in, and idiots are buying. Don't let them pass you by.
Frame: Grenade Fade
Lens: Black Iridium
Picked these up yesterday for a very good price. I had a original pair back in the day but sold them a few years back. These ones just caught my eye. very unique colour combo, and a better fit now I'm older? Think they will stay as a display piece though, I think the people that wear them now are a little bit sad / nostalgic / desperate?
A couple years back, I would say the Frogskins were the third ugliest frame Oakley ever made. Spring forward a couple years later (and starting with the addition of the Supreme White City and the Collector's Clear/Violet Iridium), I find I have as many Frogskins in my collection as any other Oakley frame.
First re-released as a collaboration with Supreme, the new Frogskins have found their own niche in the Oakley lineup. Bringing a wave of nostalgia, it's hard not to like something like the Frogskin with its simple design and seemly passe style. Granted, it may not have the best fit of Oakley's current lineup and it may not be the most technologically advanced, but rather than practicality there's a certain "lovability" to it that's rivaled by very few models. Having the ability to look good on anyone is definitely a plus for the Frogskin. Add in plutonite lenses and Oakley quality, and you just can't go wrong.
While Oakley is currently saturating the market with "limited" Frogskins, each one has it's own unique style. From the Blends to the Supreme to the Colette to the Collectors Editions to the Original Fake, every release is special. That's practically impossible to say about any other pair of sunglasses these days. Making the Collectors Edition a limited release of 3,000 was also a smart idea, as it allowed true lovers of the frame to find it while also creating a collectible.
Who knew a design from 20 years back would be the dominant style and collectible of 2008? I sure as hell didn't, but I'm glad they're back.

What else can be said about the frogskins? Classic design, timeless style. But this is All about the danny kass signature series. They deliver on all that you expect; but let it be known that the icon is actually closer to red than what looks to be orange.
Frame: Too Many to name.
Lens: All...
This is one of my favorite frames and I enjoy wearing them, however they can get expensive on the secondary market espicially the limited edition ones of 100 or fewer.
Frame: Red-Blue-White (Sunday!)
Lens: Grey
One of the 2 best Frogskins collaborations, along with Supreme, both colorway and company wise. Love Sunday bikes, and when they collabed with Oakley, I had to grab these Frogs. I even threw the extra legs on a Polished Black orbital with +Red Lenses so now I have 2 SUnday Frogs.
Frame: Matte Red
Lens: Grey
My first pair of Frogskins and still one of my favorites. It makes you feel good when you walk by other people with Ray Ban or Gas Station Wayfarers on and know that yours say Oakley on the side.
Frame: Smog Text
Lens: Grey
I like this frame because its unique and because it it matte.. i prefer matte frames rather than polished and crystals.. To enhance it, i put in VL Ice Blue Polarized lens. It suit the frame better.
Frame: Crystal Black, Polished Black, Grenade Fade, Marine Fade
Lens: +Red Iridium, Grey Polarized, Black Iridium, Blue Iridium
I'll be honest these don't look good on me nor did I like them when I first saw them. Now I can't get enough of them. It wasn't till I saw the anti freeze ones that I fell in live with them. The bad thing about these (or good thing depending on how you look at it) is that they don't last. If you done get the color you want when you first see these. Kiss them goodbye because they sell out fast and don't comeback. My other complaint is the the grey lens is really light.
Frame: Primitive Purple Fade
Lens: Violet Iridium
What can i say about this pair of 4-legged frogskins that hasn't already been said? this is one pair of kick-ass shades! absolutely love the fade design on the arms, and the 2nd pair of arms are a delightful bonus. in my personal opinion, violet iridium lenses are one of the more striking colours out there, so expect to turn some heads! Seems like this design, (at least the microfiber bag), was inspired by the album cover of Ride The Lightning back in the 80s, and i definitely can see the influence. being a huge metal fan, i just knew i had to get one of these! knowing that there were only 70 produced was an added bonus.

I abosolutely love frogskins. I can not get enough of them. They can get a bit pricey on the secondary market espicially limited edition ones. I have a passion for finding them and enjoy the time spent doing so. They are a classic frame that will never get old.

LOVE these oakleys. Got then at a yard sale for $4 since the lady didnt know they were oakleys and since theyre so lightweight she thought they were fake. awesome sunglasses though

I bought these and wore them for a couple days before exchanging them for some darker lenses. I really liked the glasses, but the tint was simply not dark enough for me. I have green eyes and large pupils, so I like dark glasses. Anyhow, the glasses looked hit or miss on me, but I felt like $100 bill wearing them! I had the 2nd gen in the early 90s, so it was a cool throwback for me. You could see my eyes pretty easily through the front, and I didn't really like that either. For overcast days and driving they're great though. If I found a pair with black iridium lenses that were priced reasonably, I'd grab them in a second.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well Frogskins hang on my Rx Chain 4.0 frames, so I get XYZ optics without having to go Lasik or contacts. Of all the colorways, the Shaun White Blue Chrome (or FMJ?) has got to be the holy grail (amongst Frogskins) imo. Easily trumps the gold and chrome ones from the Supremes.
Wearing Frogskins has helped introduce me to the Blue Ir and Violet Ir lenses, both of which I now wear on a regular basis with Rtbr-Cyan Fade and Polished Clear frames respectively.
The C'Mon duo are basically identical tortoise frames coupled with different lens colors (+Red and Gold), although Violet looks pretty good too.
Purple Fades are nice but (thankfully) still a notch below the classy Primitive fades, where contrast is much starker. Grenade Fades ..... never mind.

Love the Frogs. Wasn't really into them the first time but now I'm just loving the way you can just change the lenses and/or frames to suit your outfit/style/mood. Coverage isn't perfect but I can forgive them....especially the gorgeous true Ruby lensed ones, which means all of them!

Everybody wears these kinds of glasses today, and literally everyone at my school had them. but nobody could afford Ray Bans so everybody wore knock-offs. I remember being the first person to own a real pair at my school.I still have the Ray Ban Wayfarers today and I love them very much, and I even converted my second pair of Wayfarers to my prescribed glasses, but anyways, I clearly remember the first time I saw a pair of Oakley Frogskins. At first, I was filled with the thought that Oakley Copied Ray Ban and that I would never want or even be caught trying them on. The goofy looking colors they had just didn't arouse my tastes. I still wear my Ray bans when I want to be classy, but I wear my Frogskins when it's time to party. So, one day I came sunglass-less to downtown disney in the summer and Oakley Frogskins just came to my mind. I walked in the store and tried them on, and I ended up buying them. When i walked out of the store I got looks from many people and some even said "Those are some nice Oakleys man!" What I thought was amazing was how light they were, yet I was suspicious to know how durable they'd actually be. These glasses are comfortable. I felt guilty inside for turning away from good old Ray Ban but Oakley just has the comfort I deniably have never felt. Anyways, after that day I was hooked and I looked into Frogskins with more interest and I discovered how rare these were compared to the Ray Bans. It's true, anybody can have Ray Ban's which is great, but for people looking for rarity these definitely do the job. I had looked for the Matte/Red with Grey for awhile and I love those sunglasses very much. I still get the looks and comments every time I sport these. AND they were the first thing I have ever bought with a Credit Card of my own.

I was never a fan of the Frogskin. I have a love/hate relationship with them, as they come in so many awesome variations, but they look terrible on me, and they are the telltale sign of the hipster douche. Well, maybe not. If they're authentic Oakleys, then they're ok. I just hate how they've been imitated and so many people think that old school sunglasses make them cool.
Frame: Polished Blk
Lens: Grey Pol
Really fun and versatile pair. The lenses quality is amazing and I get compliments on these everywhere I go. People ask "when did Oakley start making these again?"
I also got the last pair Oakley had of the matte white with gold iridium lenses, taken them out of the box only to inspect them, The hinges seem looser than the black pair. Perhaps Ill sell them in 10 years.
Frame: Glow in the Dark/Anti-Freeze/Rootbeer/Cyan Fade/Matte Dark Olive
Lens: Bronze/Black Iridium/Blue Iridium/Gold Iridium
I have a purely hate relationship with the Frogskin. I hate that I am compelled to buy every new and awesome colorway. I hate that I wear them even though they look goofy on me. I hate that every new one is even more awesome than than the last.
Frame: Polished Black
Lens: Grey polarized
Finally got a pair. The frame is great. Very classic, very Wayfarerish with a more streamlined look. The fit is incredibly lightweight and comfortable. These are a great lifestyle sunglass. The only reason they earn a 4 is because they look a little narrow on my medium-large head. A wide fit would be great, but these will still get worn.
Frame: purple fade, polished black, crystal black, matte rootbeer, glow, neon yellow
Lens: violet iridium, ruby iridium, +red iridium, fire iridium, bronze, violet iridium
Again, i need to stress the aesthetics of these shades. They look absolutely fantastic, but that is about as far as it goes. They were never intended to be anything more than cool looking and comfortable, so rating it as if it is a sports specific frame is unfair. So far, i must say that my least fovrite frome is the Trevor Andrews Glow. While the idea is really unique, the excecution is less than ideal. They simply look boring during the day. Bronze is a fairly bland looking lens, and the frames look like white plastic that has been stained with something nasty. The Primitive Frogskins are definitely the most unique - the purple fade is astounding to look at. They are a cool alternative to the Blends rainbow edition, which is basically impossible to get by now. (if anyone has a blends they are willing to give up, let me know!)
Frame: Shaun White Blue

Sick shades, the metallic blue frame looks awesome with the +red lenses, especially in bright light. The striped oakley text on the side and the custom microfiber bag are welcome additions.
Frame: Matte Denim - Grey

These glasses are another cool addition to the frogskin collection. Just having the option to switch the "legs" is really neat and really does add to the look of these glasses. The style again is a cool old school look that is sure to draw attention.
Frame: Polished White

Lutzka: These shades are a great part of the frogskins collection. It is an awesome pair that are glasses that people can't help but to look at. The color combination is one that can not be missed, and will surely draw attention.
They offer great style and a decent amount of direct light protection.

Just bought these a couple of days ago, where i searched all over LA to find them. Didnt have them at the Hollywood Oakley store, although they tried to sell me Jupiters instead, so I figured I had to buy them in Rancho Cucamonga where I had spotted them a couple of days earlier. But as I strolled around downtown Santa Monica I found them in a small sunglass shop and I've been in love ever since.
With looks you can't beat and killer lenses, this is the most awesome shades I've ever owned. The ruby lenses look sick and matches the red Oakley letters on the legs perfect. The lenses have a very pleasant bluish tint, and you're able to wear them even at night.
5 skulls!
Frame: Glow in the Dark
Lens: Bronze
This is my most beloved pair of Oakleys. I was searching after them a long time and went trough most of the Oakley retailers in Bergen before I finaly found a pair. The frame is super light and after a while I don't even remeber I'm wearing sunglasses. I also love how they come with the pink microfiberbag. The only downside is that the broze lens is to dark to use when it's dark. I would much rater have a ruby clear lens to put in it and use at nigth. But the frame is to cool to not get 5 skulls!
Frame:Matte Black
Lens: Fire
These shades are legit. They fit nice, there light weight, and they get noticed. People ask me where I got them and its nice to know that they are sold out on oakley.
Frame: crystal black
Lens: positive red iridium
Never had frogskins before, although I was born in the 1980s. I love the "aviator style"...its a timeless design that never seems to really get old. These frogskins are extremely lightweight and they're made with oakley quality =]
I love the positive red iridium lens...deep red hue on the outside, and a slight bluish tint when looking through them. These are my 5th pair of oakleys now. Havent had much time to give em a "test drive" but I liked what I saw in the mirror. They're barely 1 day old...we'll see how they take on the world.
owned square wire 2.0 spring hinges
currently have gascan, oil rig, mosnter dog, and just got these frogskins

Frame: Colette White/Crystal Clear
Lens: Ice Iridium/Gold Iridium
So I have two pairs--had. The Crystal Clear with gold iridium lenses got stolen from me at work and I was pissed off. Luckily my credit card insurance covered it. I loved the way the lenses actually made looking in the sun so much easier and got tons of compliments on them til they got stolen. I then purchased the Colette White with Ice Iridiums! Now those are neckbreakers! I always get asked where I got them and if they're still available. I'm pretty sure by now they're sold out because there were only 100 pairs made. Definitely shades that are truly "limited edition" and I love them!
Frame: Neon Yellow
Lens: Fire Iridium
I absolutely love these. The amount of strange looks I get while wearing such a bright pair of sunglasses is totally worth the money I paid for them. In a world of boring sunglasses, just seeing these on my shelf makes me happy.
Frame:Fade
Lens:Fire Iridium
These one's probably won't ever make face contact, but they sure look pretty in the plastic. Overall a beautiful frame, as the color spectrum spreads from one end to the othe. Also, these were hand-painted by the great people at Oakley, which is pretty cool. Although the fire lens looks nice and natural with the frame, i would have liked a little bit more lens creativity for such a rare piece. No complaints, I'm pretty lucky to have snagged these ones.
Frame: Trevor Andrews Glow In The Dark
Lens: Bronze
Tried it out at shops again. Under normal lighting the colour is quite 'normal' compared to Clear Violet for example. However I asked them to test inside a closed room to see the glow in the dark effect, and sure it enough it did and turned green too.
I can imagine it being ultra cool to wear in clubs.
Im not too fond of Bronze but the 'glow in the dark' aspect redeemed it.
Also, I saw two different versions of it. One had a 'Trevor Andrew' logo or insignia or something on the right eye stem, and the other didn't. Different shops but both Oakley dealers. So just pointing that out if someone thinks the other is fake.
To determine I guess, if possible, just see it in a pitch black closed room.
Definitely one of the more memorable model from this lineup.
Frame: Polished Clear
Lens: Violet Iridium
While a bit small for me and practically resting on my cheeks and not on the nose, I have to say, among the colours that have come out thus far (July 08), this one is the best looking out of the bunch.
Its clean, uncomplicated and easy on the eyes.
Violet Iridium looks a stunner looking at it and through it. Definitely a head turner and conversation starter as the design is quite retro (for those that witnessed the '80's).
i don't own one by the way, just tried it out at shops.
Nice
Frame: Neon Yellow
Lens: Fire Iridium
After a good amount of searching and paying an overly-inflated price, I have finally received my much-coveted neon yellow frogskins.
The fire iridium lenses are absolutely beautiful, and are perfect for holding back the rays, while blinding others around you. The frame color is awesome, and will surely draw the attention of everyone around. Their appearance is quite nostalgiac, and wearing them will no doubt make you feel like a nerd, but in a good way. The glasses are still made just as they were in 1985, and there is a certain charm to their almost cheap-like appearance. The only complaint I have about them is the way they don't quite fit close to your face, but what do you expect from sunglasses designed over twenty years ago.

I have about 4 pairs of these! I have a little problem. I wanted these when I was ~12 years old but my face was too small. Now I am buying them left and right. I have the royal/fire supreme edition, rootbeer/bronze, clear/gold iridium and first edition black/violet. They are so comfortable, and the lenses on the new ones are amazing.
Frame: Black

In 1989, My local skateshop had only 1 pair of these.
I saved up all my money from mowing lawns, to delivering papers, to birthday money. I finally got em. I wore em out. The hinges broke on mine one day biking hardcore. Scratched to hell and back, I loved them.
Im about to purchase the clear/violet to bring me back to days of BMX Gyros, mag wheels, and tightrolled pants.

Man this is one of the all time Oakley favorites, all the color combos they are releasing and in the timely manner they are doing it in defiantly make these collectors edition don’t think I can review this pair on the way they fit because I don’t even use the ones I have but I don’t think I could give them any thing less that five skulls they look amazing and all the hype about them does them well.
Frame: Rootbeer
Lens: Bronze
When I heard these were returning I couldn't help but not want a pair. Unfortunately when I saw the price on the Supreme Edition I had to back away and sulk until Oakley dropped the price to appease those like me with Collector's editions. I bought them all, and as fast as I could get them. It was like I was 14 all over again opening that clear box, the pink bag, the flimsy feel of a product 15 years behind all Oakleys current innovations... The fit is better than I remembered. The looks I get from my friends are priceless. I don't know what it is about them; replicas of the first pair I ever had, and now I can afford multiples that I could never afford back when. If you ever owned a pair or ever wanted a pair, I hope you got a pair.
Frame: Trevor Andrews Glow in the Dark
Lens: Bronze
When i first head about these and the supreme frogskins, they became my main target. Unfortunaly the store i work in never got them. I finally got a pair and im very happy with them. Im a big fan of white frames, so the Trouble Andrews were an obvious choice. The glow in the dark factor is just awesome. Oakley still has a few cool tricks up their sleeve. They are fairly lightweight and they seem a smidge smaller than the classic frogskins. I would have given these a 4 1/2 because of the Bronze lens. I think gold iridium, titanium iridium, or even a nice 24k iridium would have been better. But im sure i can find a way to get a different set of lenses in.
I really hope to see some more frogskins from oakley in 2008!

2007 saw the re-release of the Vintage Frogskins style, and not only did they use the original moulds that they had back in the 80’s but introduce a few new colourways to boot.
One of the funkiest of these were the Glow in the Dark frames with Bronze lenses that look polished White in daytime, but actually Glow Green in the dark when held next to a light source for more than 10 seconds.
Super limited to only 3000 pieces worldwide, these are certainly an inspired idea in my eyes.
Frame: Glow in the Dark

It’s time to face it…the ’80 are makin’ a comeback! For better or worse, the unforgettable decade of decadence, the “ME” decade and it’s fashion legacy of big hair, leg warmers, shoulder pads, acid wash jeans and neon leggings, has remarkably become “retro-cool.” Trend-setting Celebrities across the globe, most of whom missed the majority of the 1980’s on account of not having actually been born yet… have grabbed the fashion torch. From waist high jeans (possibly the most cruel and unflattering trend ever to be perpetrated upon womankind) to ballet slipper shoes, we can’t stop it…we can only hope to contain it.
Most recently, celebs like Heroes’ Hayden Panettiere, have been sporting the oldie but a goodie. Seriously, this one is actually worth another “look” (pardon the pun)…
Apparently, the reborn FROGSKIN have been so popular that Oakley will be unveiling a new color combination each month starting in January 2008, starting with the red frames and gray lense combo. Retail prices start at $100… but buyer be warned, demand is high and supplies are limited, so just like the world’s oil markets of late…prices will likely continue to rise. Just something to think about!
Frame: Polished Clear
Lens: Violet Iridium
Before I saw these in real life I thought: "I'll never buy those, those are from the year I was born!", but when I saw them at my OPD I was pursuaded to put them on and eventually going home with them.
The fact that there are only 3000 produced for each colorway makes these glasses extra special.
Frame:
The frame itself is very light, and pretty comfortable, even for long periods of time. The frame does get in the way of periferal vision, but hey, in 1985 they didn't have the tech to curve like today...
The hinges are my only concern, I think these might get loose after a lot of use (mine will not be used very often).
The clear frame gives it a sense of weightlessness. The ciombination of the Violet and transparent frame enlarges the effect of the Violet Iridium lens: pure purple!
This frame was the boldest one of the bunch, so that's why I chose it.
Lenses:
The Violet Iridium is awesome! The color from the front is unheard of. I think it's too bad that Oakley doesn't use it anymore (only the Riddle had it lately). They should really start using it again!
Overall I give this pair 5 stars for shear retro coolness, reviving a pair as the frogskins is just awesome!
Frame: Polished Black
Lens: Grey
I'm giving this style a 4, so don't be too alarmed!
I've had this for about a month now, and as others have stated, if you're not used to the earstems it does take some getting used to, but it's definitely worth it for the factor.
I, having never purchased a pair of Frogskins before, found them a bit under par with some other hinge mechanisms like the GC, that seem to always fit nice and snuggly in place when on; these however don't really have much structural integrity, IMO. You're basically relying on two nodules attached to the frame to hold the earstems in place - so best wear these on occasions, and not make it your everyday pair.
Also, I was a bit displeased when Oakley stated:
"For each original color combination of this coveted style, only 3000 Collectors Editions will be produced. Every frame will have a serial number on the inside of the stem to designate its numerical position in the collection."
and sure enough when I recieved them I scoured the frame up and down, and NOTHING.
If you promise something, live up to the expectations!
I do still love the Grey lenses, besides it being a nice contrast color to the Polishhed Black frame, it does get the job done!
So, I'm giving this a strong 4 as stated!
(You know who!)
Frame: Glow in the Dark

Amazing glasses and a faithful reproduction of an Oakley classic. The glow in the dark frame is superb and the bronze lenses are a delight to look through. I love the pink microfibre bag too!!!
Frame: Polished Black

I just picked these up in Tampa yesterday. Great shades. Trully a throwback. The lenses aren't the curvature that we're used to. A real retro look thats is pretty timeless. I've received more compliments on these in the past two days that I have on any of my other Oakleys (except that White Monster Doggle of course).
5 SKULLS from me.
I can't wait to get the classic polished clear/violet as soon as my local O-Store gets them. Yum!
Frame: Glow-in-the-Dark/Matte Olive/Anti-Freeze

I absolutely hate the Frogskin. It's a shame that they come in so many awesome colorways. All they are is a long running gimmick. I'm compelled to collect them despite my aversion.
Frame:Crystal Black
Lens: + Red
Like everyone else, these are a bit of nostalgia for me. My first pair was clear/violet, but had I seen this combo then...these would have been it instead. The fit is very similar to original. The untrained owner couldn't tell the difference, I'm sure. The lenses are big, the frames light, and the design very 80's. I hated the 80's, I love these frames.
Frame: Crystal Black
Lens: +Red
Re-releasing the classic Frogskins was a good idea in terms of nostalgia, but a bad idea in terms of style. This design should be left in the 80's where it belongs, along with big hair, shoulder pads on women and neon clothes. The only reason I bought this pair was that the original version was my very first pair of Oakleys...but I haven't even taken them out of the box because I wouldn't be caught dead wearing them.
