Visually stunning and my favorite color Oakley has ever released! Nice fusion between the emerald and slate iridiums. Light transmission is perfect for me, and I find this comfortable to wear both indoors and outdoors. Nice iridium mirror, which hides the eyes well in a lot of conditions, except when it's very sunny and the light creeps in from the top or sides. Still, it hides the eyes better than most lenses with similar or even lower transmission rates.

Many think that these are too light to wear during sunny conditions, but I mostly disagree... I think the only times these don't offer enough protection is during the early morning or late afternoon of a clear and sunny day -- when the sun is near the horizon.

I tried these on in a pair of Juliets and I immediatly asked what they were and knew that I had to have them. I called up Oakley and the said I can't get them. Long story short, my newly purchased Juliets are there getting the lenses and earsox that are associated with them.

I love this lens because of the neutral base, I can't stand amber based lenses. The iridium seems to do most of the work for the reduction in light but a very nice lens to look thru and at.

Emerald Slate are my top 1 lens... Are just perfect...
from the inside you have that light blueish or purple tint, that feels awsome for the eyes, from the outside you have that wonderful emerald green with something of yellow.
In a first look its looks too light but after a fill minutes with it you just cant take them off, the polished frame of ichiros juliet make the perfect match with this lens.. even when I go out with my OO Blue Iridium ichiro, my finito or my 1st gen Red Ruby... People don't turn as much as they turn for the Emerald slate... and when you wear it doesn't the lens don't look as light as they are so when the sun is going down or we have a cloudy day and Im wearing (perfect conditions for them) people ask me "isn't too dark for sunglasses?" when I let them try out the first thing they can say after the time of shock... is "where can I get those glasses?"
AWSOME DUDE!!!!!!

one of my favorite lenses. whenever I watch a baseball game or need to go somewhere that I gotta look decent or formal, this is what I wear. The style could be accepted in both formal or rugged applications

I have a tendency to forget about how much I like these lenses. They are on the light side, but they do a great job in a range of lighting conditions. I wouldn't suggest them for a bright sunny day, but they perform better than you would expect. The real strength however is in the look they give. They are a silvery-green that is just amazing. I would wear them much more if I didn't have such a paranoia towards care of my Ichiro Juliets. Fans of dark lenses will probably find these slightly better than Ti Clear or Slate, but might not appreciate them from a blockage point of view.

For some reason the iridium coating this lens color is more reflective than most other iridium lenses I've had my hands on (excepting Fire, 24K and +Red) but they're not too dark to use on overcast days. From the outside the lenses have a yellowish tint about them when compared to the "normal" emerald iridium lenses. From the inside they give everything a light blueish tint.

Just picked these up with my Ichiros. Man, these are so cool in person. At first I wasn't that impresses when I saw them online. Now I have no regrets.

Simply awesome. 24% transmission is light enough to even wear indoors, but really come into their own on overcast days.

The Emerald Slates found on the Ichiro Juliets are spectacular to look at when they're being worn. While they'd get limited use in sunny climates, those who experience more inclement weather will probably fall in love with these. While a not as amazing to look through, still a great lens on a functional level.

very nice lens. made for medium light. If you live somewhere very sunny, these might not be the best in terms of practical use. Styling though.

Next to the Ruby lens, this would be my favorite. For a 24% transmission you'd expect you're eyes to be seen like G30s but it has a very heavy Emerald tint which is cool. I agree with partly cloudy or Medium to Low light conditions.

Since Emerald and Slate happen to be two of my favorite lenses, it only makes sense that I like Emerald Slate so much. It looks great on the outside and it has a very comfortable tint when looking through it. Also, it lets just the right amount of light in to make it wearable in almost any type of light condition.
TERRORISM -
Compared to a standard emerald lens, this lens seems to "glow" with an aura of its own. Likewise, from the standpoint of wearing the lens, the base-coloration of the emerald slate lens offers an alternative view from that of emerald. While the emerald lens offers great protection for a wide-range of conditions, the emerald slate performs better on lower-light/overcast conditions. Still, based on the physical attractiveness and the exculsivity of the lens (only available in a few models), it deserves its share of recognition.
