My name is Robert Lovelace, i am 24 years old from Plymouth, Michigan. Ever since i was a little kid of maybe five years old i would go fishing with my dad. Everyone that i would see would be wearing these sunglasses with the O icon on them and i really wanted a pair. That was where my love or addiction for the company started. When i was 17 or 18 years old they put a store in that was about an hour and a half from me that i would go to. Two years ago they put one in right next to me and i would save my pennies to get stuff from the store. Ever since i was then it has fed my addiction for everything Oakley. Oakley for me , in my 24 years of life, has become a way of life.

Thanks for the info Oak! Do you have any information on the Blade II and on the automatic movements in the gearbox?

I apologize if this has been brought up before but i could not find the thread. I was recently asked about my Minute Machine and who makes Oakley's watches for them. I have done some digging around and i cant find an answer. Are all the watches made by one manufacturer or are there different ones. Just curious if anyone knows.
Thanks

Goggle lenses as a whole are hard to compare... Black iridium is totally different

Ok, ever since I first started wearing Oakley and falling in love with the brand I have had many questions. Most of these questions are answered but there has been one that I have not had answered.
Oakley snowboard goggles like all of their lens are said to have exceptional optics. What sets them apart is polutinite, a very pure polycarbonate. The inner lens of the dual layer lens is a much lower and more brittle lexan lens. Now with that as the layer closest to the eye how does the optics meet the same standards as their other eyewear? Why isn't the light bent and optics lower with the lower quality material in the lens as well as the polycarbonate?
I hope my question is clear.
Also on a side note with impact test do you run the risk of cracking the inner lens without hurting the outer lens?

The blue iridium in the frogskins actually was released before OO lenses. Also no OO lenses have ever been released with a grey based lens, it defeats the whole idea of improving contrast.
I am not sure why this was done but it apears the is a sport specific blue iridium and a non sport specific blue iridium. My personal opinion is the person getting their lens for sports is getting it for the contrast, a person getting these in a pair of frogskins wants neutral lens that is darker.

I had this issue... It had something to do with pulling out the crown and holding down both function buttons for a certain amount of time. It was an easy fix once I figured out how to do it.

ok i assume its not a true oakley lens then, but just cut to fit in the frame. That is sick though! The only thing that might fit in that has that color is something like an eyepatch or dispatch.

Got to see a batwolf a little over a week ago. Not crazy about it, but i wasnt crazy about the pictures of it either. I must give props to whoever worked on the icon replacement. It is 100 times better than the dispatch. Great improvement!!!!!! All said and done its a fuel cell with a single lens... much like an antix.

I actually did this once but its not the most comfortable shoe on a hard surface. I was going to a wedding, remembered the golf shoes and forgot the dress shoes so i just took out the cleats and used the golf shoes but the sole of she is very stiff. Not the best on a hard surface
