Here's my brand new ride.
Meant to be a cyclocross bicycle, I changed tires for road ones. Geared with Ultegra group and Easton EA50 Aero rims, it was the best compromise I could find.
Road purists will hate. But I do love ^_^

Beautiful! Paris it's a good place for a bicycle? or it's a little dangerous?

Not really a good place for a bicycle, even though there are some "reserved" way for them. This winter, I used to ride in Paris by night, after big rush hour. It becomes nicer when there are less cars ;-)

Nice one Francios.... What do you mean by it being a cyclocross. I thought that style mainly had flat bars. It looks really sweet especially the wheels.

I recently changed bikes as well, moving from a dedicated Road bike with drop bars to a more Urban bike, which has the Flat road bars. - the Giant CityCross RX 0

As someone who knowns little more than 'pushing pedals makes the wheels move', that looks really nice.

Cyclocross is very European-ish

From Wikipedia (couldn't say it better) :
Cyclo-cross bicycles generally resemble road racing bicycles. Cyclo-cross-specific frames differ with their wider tire clearances, knobby tires, cantilever or disc brakes, and lower gearing.

My Giant City Cross has the same frame as my old road bike, Carbon Forks and Neck, Carbon Seat pole, the flat bars and slightly wider tyres are the only major difference. Oh and the gearing is slightly different but still uses 105 Shimano.

But i do have to add that it is a great photo by the way.... really nicely lit.

This is the style i'm referring to.

Francois, lovely ride

Good choice with the easton rims, very well made

Is that frame carbon or aluminium?

Radial spokes on the front!-your brave lol

I ride a cyclo cross bike on the road with road slick tyres as our roads are poor quality here.

The frames tend to be more rigid and can handle a bit more abuse, plus the brakes, frame joints etc are better quality!

Lovely mate!

Im looking at getting some deep 88mm carbon rims for my roadie too later this year :)

Thanks, Paul.
The frame is a 7005 Triple Butted Aluminum. Stiff like a rock.
Yup, I've heard pros and cons about radial spokes on front wheel. I might change my uses to brake very hard on front wheel, just in case.

Lovely mate
I would channel my breaking through the rear, this would reduce stress through the rim and then the spokes

Great bike!

Super nice Francois; that has the new Shimano CX cranks, right? I hear they are very good, especially for the price.

Sorry, surely a bad french to english translation.
I just meant that being on big chain ring on front and rear is bad for your chain :P

Thank you, EC
I don't know if that's the latest model, but it's awesome, in any case.

Touching one kid dream to buy a Nitro snowboard.
Now that I'm living in switzerland, at less than one hour from nice slopes and backcountry snow lands, I had to !

DSC_1938_t_1

I took it a bit short, but it will be more versatile than buying the 171 long one which would have been a killer for Freeride but a bit harder on the slopes.

Now, let's try that this week end :)
