I owned a pair of E-Wires in the past...and many times I've passed them up again, thinking I didn't want them. I finally just pulled the trigger for a pair in box.

I finally saw the Barras monte's in person today at the o store. I didn't get what the big deal was, until I saw them for myself. WOW, they are way more impressive in person. Now I get it, and want to get them, but $200 ouch. I just hope I can bring myself to get a pair before they are gone. I saw the Pimple hijinx too, now I want them too. This O-diction is nuts, better than drugs though!

Another thing I'm having a hard time pulling the trigger on is Oakley's watches. With each new release, I am in awe of the cool designs, especially the TT. However, I grew up loving the major manufacturers like Patek, Lange, Omega, Rolex, IWC, and JLC. Basically companies that are known for inhouse or highly modified mechanical movements. Because Oakley's not known as a major watch brand or for it's technical leaps in horological innovation, I second guess as to weather or not to get one, though I am always tempted.

They are certainly produced by one of the world's finer watch makers, so I wouldn't even think twice. They are awesome pieces, they have designs that grab your attention, and they really hold up well. I have never ever had an Oakley watch even some much as hiccup let alone fail, so I am sold...I am anxiously awaiting the Warrant Stealth...12ga is way too "Rap Star" looking for me...Can't stand wall clocks on my wrist for some reason...HAHA

I hear you on that Oak. I think Oakley make the best sunglasses in the world. But when it comes to watches, I think there are some nicer ones than Oakley, although the 12 Gauge and Time Tank are beautiful.

If i were basing a watch purchase on the Movement quality, then for sure i wouldn't be looking at Oakley..
But I base my choice on style and the presentation of the watch, and Oakley gives it to me hands down.
The movement is secondary to my buying choice.

Not for me. I've never been a fan of Rado. Not the best brand in the world, but people seem to like them.

Nothing's wrong with them. They're just not seen as one of the best because they use pedestrian and unmodified ebauches. Their quality is stable enough.

I used to hate wrist watches. Only wore pocket watches, if I wore one at all. There was actually only one wrist watch I would wear, and that was my Hamilton Ventura. Yes, yes...it's because of MiB that I bought it and coveted it. But after time it became a love affair with its unusual and elegant design.
I had bought the Red Warning Crush Oakley from our Oahu OPD a while ago, but never wore it because I kinda wanted to preserve its quality. I understand it's not all that common to find.

I had previously tried on the Time Tank, but didn't really like how it looked on me. Maybe the way the band hung off my wrist just threw me off. Anyway, after going to the Co-Pilot event and seeing almost half the people there sporting Time Tanks, I started to catch the fever. Especially after Brandon let me try on his. I was sold at that point.

I'd try to come back with some kind of witty response to simulate an insult at you...but unfortunately you're right.

For once. =P
