In that case, I would have to blame the buyer. (If there is one) Not that I condone listing a Pitboss for $950, but any idiot must realize they will soon be available to the public for $595.

Someone will jump at it more than likely, there are some people that just have to have things as soon as possible and don't like to wait on things. I don't know if they will do $950 but I would guess he will get some pretty high offers(over retail) for sure. I guess we will see what happens

The BIN with 'best offer' option is just the new evolution of BIN. It's basically a way for a seller to toss out a rediculous asking price, asking buyers to extend themselves as much as possible and walk away with a happy price. I would guestimate that most 'best offer' auctions would pretty quickly take a price at 20-30% off what they have the BIN listed at.

here is what I asked:....why are you asking so much...these can still be purchased for 595, they were just released. It seems like you are trying to screw someone??

so this is what he said:....yes, they were just released...show me where i can buy them right now...the price is high, but it is only for those that can afford them. a lot of stuff is overpriced here, so i am not the only one...cheers...

Uh-Oh Low and behold, auction gone.

probably because amerimassengildouchestain bought them outside eBay. I would be willing to put money on that one.

I am guessing it was something to do with him using stock images from oakley. I don't see why he would not have had pics of it up? It is totally gone and not even in the completed auctions. I remember back when the Scelzi Romeo 2's came out and were fetching upwards of $700-900 on those bad boys. Romeo 2 is a piece of trash compared to a PB so who knows what the first few might bring. There is always "that guy" that has to have something first and will do whatever it takes to get it.

Very bold statement.

Same with cars. The first models released usually go for more than the invoice price, but then things settle down. The Challengers were like that last year when they first came out. Dealers were making a killing on the first models. Now, they just sit sadly on the lots.

I personally was never a fan of Romeo 2 and I consider it a very, very mediocre piece at best. it doesn't even belong on the same sentence as Pit Boss. It is just an analogy though for a comparison.

I dissagree about the Romeo 2. I think the name is wrong, but otherwise I like it and hope to own one eventually. But different strokes for different folks is what it's all about :^)

Once you get your R2 Jason, you'll be in love. Got my first one in March and I want a GS pair pretty damn badly now. =)

Can't beat my Penny, though. ^_~

Yeah, the GS are pretty sweet lookin, but other than those, the only colorway that really appeals to me is the polished ti. I tried them on at my O store and they fit really well and felt good on my face, I dig'em :^)

It looks like I will get a chance to see just how much I like the R2 soon. I just made arrangements with Dr.Chop so he can pick me up a pair at HQ tomorrow. I'm stoked :^)

This is the O-Review, the solution is to just buy both. Makes like much simpler.

Looks like I'll have to start the R2 line with a Carbon/Black. It will be my first carbon X metal, so I'm stoked about that :^)

Good purchase. It's one of the better frames on the R2. You'll definitely love them.

Good to hear, the weather up here is finally starting to get good enough to rock Black Iridium more too. When it's bright but cloudy I prefer a contrast lens, but the sun is starting to break through more. I wore my Black Ti Spike's today and they were perfect. I have an Olive/Grey Warden (Hammer) coming in monday too, good stuff!

I only have one carbon frame, but I really like the finish of the carbon.

One day I'll get to see a polished carbon (and maybe a black chrome) finish. One day.....

Polished/Ti was my first Romeo 2. A difficult but highly satisfying choice between that and the X-Metal with the help of some good friends. =)

Well, this is kinda the opposite of the origional purpose of this thread, but I couldn't believe I just saw a rootbeer PB sell for $500 on the bay. BNIB and complete.

Yeah, that was very surprising. Perhaps it's the colourway. I assume the black ones will do better.
