Dogs are the best! Congrats on the new edition. Make sure your O's are up high or put away. If he finds them you're in trouble. Lol

Thanks guys, I am really happy with him, indeed.
After my previous dog passed away some months ago I really felt that there was some emptiness. And finally this great guy will come.

What gear did you use ?

I love the ladybug and spider photos :)

I used my Nikon D5200

The 60mm Nikon macro lens for the macro pics.

The red soldier bug and the spider had an aperture of f/10
The ladybug had an aperture of f/7.1

The black and white photo was also taken with that lens at f/32 (long exposure).

The photo's of the white wagtail are taken with the 55-300mm lens, at 300mm and an aperture of f/5.6 (the widest it can get on that lens).

The last one was taken with a lens baby composer 50mm and a 2.8 aperture ring.

Yeah, you definately should!
But personally I'd go for a little more zoom in my macrolens. I guess you have a FX camera, so a tad more than 90 would be recommended in that case.

To be honest, he crop lens really only makes a noticeable difference on the wider lens. However I would go for the 105mm minimum just to help with background separation.

Put my sister on the jetty. Looks quiet and serene, it also really was, except for the mosquitos...
