Hey everyone,
just thought I would share a awsome experiance with you all. My best friend (Bevilacqua) and I went up to the "world of wheels show" this past weekend, to try and get out Foose Gascans signed by Chip. Well after getting there 30 min earlier than what we anticipated, and seeing that chip was already signing, we didnt know if we were gonna be able to get an autograph. so we waited somewhat patiently and then, about 2 hrs later his bodyguard came down from the stage and was telling everyone that Chip was gonna get something to eat and didn't know if he was going to go back to signing after that. So i was pretty mad forwaiting that long and thinking that im not gonna get his autography. so Bevilacqua and I split up, he stood on one end of the stage i stood on the other. we knew he was coming down to eat. finally he came down and was mobbed by people, i waited patiently for him to walk my way were bevilacqua was near by. Chip started walking away, so i yelled" chip can you sign these" and stuck out my Foose Gascans. Sure enough .....his agent sticks his mouth and says" sorry guys there have been people waiting for 4 hrs to get an autograph", then Chip looked at the glasses ( in which i notice he was wearing a leather Minute machine) and told his agent " hold on these are my glasses, i designed them" and sure enough we got his autograph, due to great team work lol

Sorry for the length just thought I'd share a cool story

Very cool story indeed! Thanks for sharing. The most prized possession in any collection are the ones that come with a story.

That is way cool bro...I want to do the same with mine. I am actually in line now to have my stewart sig goggles signed at a fan appreciation event...the things we all do for our addiction!

It's nice to see that he actually cares about his own sunglasses.

Great to hear - always have heard that Chip is truly a genuine good guy. Have a similar story about Scelzi a few years ago.

Nice move and great story.

Well, I can't say my ordeal ended as good. I waited 3 hours in line only to have stewart split right at the stroke of 8pm and I got to his area at 8:05pm. He sure cares about fans. Him and Chad Reed both gone at 5minutes till 8 actually because Chad stopped to BS with Carey Hart right in front of me when he was signing my son's t shirt! Oh well, glad I am not a fan of his but rather Oakley!

Actually, Carey Hart was there signing away like a madman, taking pix with chix, and all that good stuff. Chad split early, Bubba was gone like his season last year (out fast!), and the rest were just doing things...It is funny though how the media spins things...There was an LA radio DJ in there doing a broadcast and said there were over 1,000 people in the first hour through which is absolute BS!! There weren't 1,000 people in line by 6pm when the line started to move (since it ran from 6pm-8pm). They also spun it to say over 3,000 people were there in line and all...Funny. We were maybe 300-400 back in line at 5pm, so that can give you a better perspective of how much "Appreciation" they have for fans. Oh well, just goes to show who does and doesn't remember when they were fans

I would love to have my Foose signed up by the legend!! He is such a cool guy and a friend of mine lives really close to his mom and he said she wears his shades all the time too! Way cool...

Thank all. yea chip's sig is rather long so he signed it on the ear steam. but it was after that that bevilacqua and i noticed something diffrent in our foose's if you check out our pictures of our shades, u can see that on my rightstem( the one that isnt signed) on the inside it p-32. on bevilaquas it says FOOSE. and on my left ear stem it says FOOSE, his says P-32, odd. we looked them quick then really looked at them didnt notice anything else

Yeah, a lot of Oakley’s glasses have some variation or another. Having different logos in the inner earstems (or not having them at all) is a design decision that we really don’t get yet, though I’m sure they have perfectly logical reasons for switching “FOOSE” and “P-32” around.

Oh, I thought he just signed the box. Must have been a pretty nice pen to be able to stick to the o-matter. Pretty cool too.
