I just picked up a pair of Art Chantry's today all the way out in freakin' Ohio today. They look great.

Price after taxes was $170.80.

I think they may have a few more pairs too if anyone is having a hard time getting one.

Wow, lucky. I wish my store had messed up and undercharged me.

Anyways, there are two more pairs left if interested. My serial was something in the 1200 range too.

grabbed a pair of Brown Sugar Hijinx for the lady, and of course, stock is not sufficient...Actually, she had the wierd request to make her icons pink on a brown frame...Kind of sounded odd to me, but who am I to choose. So, here they are. Actually, in bright light or under the flash, the pink flake sparkles and blends with the new icons...Who would have thought...

well, you know how it is...I wouldn't say gifted, just have enough testicular fortitude to attempt some of the craziness I have pulled off. Especially the etching. Icons, those are fairly easy, it's managing to not screw up the adhesive that is hard. Lenses, a snap once you are comfortable. Trust me, I have screwed up a few in my "learning curve", but the good has far outweighed the bad, and Etching, that was the one I was most afraid of. Thought it would be tough, found out it really isn't, but it isn't something everyone has the equipment or guts to even attempt...

Todd, if they do, and they just HAVE TO GET SOME, let me know...I will handle your girls for ya...This is a you only thing...Re-payment for the cajun care pack back in the day...

Thanks O...That one wasn't really "My Idea" as much as it was hers, but to my surprise, they came out pretty good. Still have yet to see them in the direct sunlight, but we will see...

Marcel hang in there, life has a funny way of revealing itself to us all. There are 2 sides to every situation. the key is seeing both without judgement of yourself or the other. It is not what we say, but rather what we don't say that imprisons us all. Words are just excuses if the truth is hidden. Hide nothing and you are no longer the target or the arrow.

Thanks, she will be happy to know her idea went over well. Again, I would have never guessed, but it worked. Certainly a great woman's option

Finally acquired an Art Chantry and since I hadn't spent this much on sunnies in a while, there was no way I'd leave those in the display. So I figured I might as well taylor them to my personal taste and it made even more sense to throw something polarized in there, especially when you look at the result:

As a result, my Rust HJ now looks a lil' more toned down, but still looks great imo:

Oh and let's not forget the third HJ:

Starting to feel like HJ may become my favourite frame. There is no doubt the Chantry is by far my #1 pair out of my modest collection!

hello

the crystal frame looks unique i think. definitely a pleasant surprise

i just think the vented part is really really cool. i didnt know it was vented all the way to the inside.

bruce irons came with a green box.

i got 2 of these. they seem different to each other. im wondering if its a hand process for this black green splatter. but nehow,
wanted to ask for clarification;
1. the black green splatter- i thought from oakley.com the vented part means its vented like the brown sugar? or is it just photo mixup at oakley website? or was mine they placed different icons by mistake?
2. the brown bag says made in china, is it the same for everyone? sadly it feels rather coarse and not as fine as the black microfiber bag made in usa.

another note, the cardboard box is also a step down in quality compared to the regular white.

however, the hijinx itself is awesome and makes those minor issues well... not so annoying.

black microfiber bag made in usa.
All the bags are made in China now. Even black. I don't think the Brown bags are more coarse. The ribs just give it that illusion. I actually find the brown boxes a step up in quality. I know it's not a custom box as the first MD box was, but it's a nice edition for the bloc O collection and almost a throw back to the old corrugated boxes the first EJs came in.

Wow, great looking Splatter Hijinx. It really seems like the Splatter frame has a huge variance in the amount of 'splatter' on the frame. From the fine speckles to the real splotches!

And what's this with a White Hijinx and SGH exclusive? Any word or dates on that?

I would guess that it is sunglass icon, they had the canteens in the white before everyone else did. I want to see them!
