Can someone please PM me a pic. Im in the market for a new watch and although i know the ones i want, this may be something im interested in seriously. I have to buy my GF and I watching Chanel J12's, but i may be able to get away with buying one of the larger ones in the Chanel and get the Oakley one too.
Diamonds are on the tick marks as well as filling in the 'X' in the middle. It's only 1ct t/w, so tacking on 200% of the base price doesn't really seem worth it. Plus we don't know the grade of the diamonds anyway. You can get a decent 1ct diamond for $3000 but that's alone. Once it's divided, the value is decrease exponentially. I count 66 diamonds in the middle and 12 on the edges, so that averages .013ct per diamond. At that weight, you can't really get a price since they're used ornamentally, but 5 .2ct diamonds would only be about $1500. I wonder if a jeweler could fit one with diamonds for less.
as a goldsmith, and having i time tank i look at the picture and my watch and i can see what they have done. they are two totaly diffrent cassings, they have to be to accomadate the dimonds as they have been put in the dimond TT. that being sayed to have one made after the face would cost alot due to the extensive time and work that would have to be done. if you even do a custom setting that is does not even look like the dimond one and you did it in the simplest locations there is still a ton of work and at between $75 and $125 an hour for a good goldsmith to do the work it adds up.
Quantity's on these bad boys is limited, only a few O Stores will have them in stock, but it is my understanding any O Store should be able to order you one it you want it.
