Is it possible to "acquire" red/white/blue icons other than having a pair of glasses with them? IE: can they be purchased?

Nope, not unless you have some serious connections.

Is it really that difficult? We're going to be getting some red Gascan Os for a custom.

Would hate to tear up a Sete/Ducati...

HQ won't just send them out. Doubtful O-Stores keep them in stock. You may get them replaced if you sent in a pair without them, but the reason they fell off may be questioned. If too many people start sending in frames for new icons it'll most likely ruin it for all.

Even look at OCE frames, you need to take them with the icons in place. It's not even an option. It well should be.

Oakley would still charge you @29 for a tune up just to get the Icons in which case they'd be making like 1000% profit or so

I called and they said they'd replace them if I sent them in, otherwise, I just had to live with it.

Then it depends on how often you want glasses in transit. And then what happens if you send in say 5 pair in say 6 months? Kinda questionable.

Confirmed that Gascan, Thump 2 and Orokr are the same. Oil Drum is the slightest bitter longer and taller.

Is it possible to obtain polished icons for Four or Splice or is Silver going to be the best bet?

Monster Pup is in line with Hatchet / Xhair / Splice / Switch / Spike and so on.

Thump Pro looked like it could be the same as Bottlecap or SJ. I didn't get the best comparison while we had them. I don't think it was the same as the above.

Obviously Canteen and GC S.

besides swaping with other pairs, is there any way to get new icons?

I'm looking for MD icons mostly.

Only way is to remove them and send them to Oakley claiming they fell off. I've tried.

I don't think that I can send off a pair of cleared MDs to Oakley...they would probably have a fit about it.

They'd prob send you back a new pair of Whiskey Dogs if you did. Or just call them and explain. You had an MD. The paint started to chip off so you cleared it all off. You're quite happy with it (so no frame replacement is necessary). But, you need new icons for it. Can't hurt. May cost a few bucks.

problem is that i want colored icons...red for my ruby pair, polished silver for my emerald pair, gold for the liquid metal pair that I'm going to order next week. Will they do that? Also, they usually charge $40 for service, it is kind of expensive for some 10cent icons...
