I just got these glasses and I think the might actually be ruby half jackets. The guy said he got them from a golf tournament as a prize, but the dontator was a oakley sponsored athlete. I will get better pictures tonight, this one was taken with a light behind the glasses. They are much more purple (not sure if they are 1st gen) than what is showing. They also have red icons. Has anyone seen these before?

They're very cool but I'd say It looks like either positive or negative red to me. A bit too much blue/purple for ruby imho.

Looks like a more transparent +red iridium to me after comparing them to my eye jackets. It also might be the lighting that brings out the transparency.

I'd put my money on a +Red Iridium.

Very nice pair.

looks to be the same color combo as the Cobalt/Pos Red Zeros.

if it is Cobalt/+ Red, it would mean the frame is more "exclusive" since you could cut +Red m-frame lenses to fit an HJ. hang on to that one.

It is not Cobalt frame, if anything it is navy metalic. I never seen them before. I know the midnight blue/24k and these have much more of a shine to the frame. I am thinking they are red+, but I have never had a pair of ruby, so it is hard to tell. I have compared them with my red+ m-frames and these are much more blue when looking out.I will be sure to post pics tonight.

Sorry, Zik. I was hoping to get them last night, but wife went out with friends. That meant I had to watch the 3 little crackhead kids of mine. I was wearing them last night and one of the neighboorhood kids, said I was awesome because I had them. Pics tonight, I promise.

Ok, I am giving up on thinking these are ruby and going with +red. But, has one ever seen this colorway before?

Isn't -red a clear base?

Whatever they are, they're by far the coolest HJs I've ever seen. Props to you, Scott.

Awesome catch. Looks really nice. I'm gonna have to side with the +Red camp on this one. Seems the base is grey, so it'll be associated with +Red rather than the bluish tint of -Red.

Is it just me, or is there a cutout in the frame front to the outside of the lens?

And there's definitely something odd about those arms. Might just be a strap of some sort fitted over them, but it looks like a different arm design.

Is this HJ 2?

Neil - I think the cutout is just the way the Black Chrome is reflecting, and I think the strap thing (I had to look twice to be sure) is her hair going over the outside of the earstem.

I am with neil and think that there is something odd about those black crome frames.

I gotta agree with EC on this. Seems more like an angle/reflection thing that makes it seem like it's different than a normal Half Jacket. The new HJ is supposedly quite different, so I can't see this being it.

Bit OT, but Sam Stosur is her name, she's an Aussie.
