Well if you were to cut a juliet lens from an Mframe lens is there specific part of the lens that would keep the same clarity?

time to use a dremel and cut the lenses yourself.

I think that if you lined up the juliet lenses directly over the part of the M Frame lens that you look through that's your best chance of getting it right. Then the only thing that would be somewhat different would be the distance from the pupil.

Look, as long as you cut the lenses out horizontally, meaning the part of the lens closest to the bridge when it was an M-frame remains closest to the bridge now that it's a pair of Juliet lenses, the optics shouldn't suffer.

What you're doing is creating a pair of toric lenses, like the Gascan.

Anyone knows if Oakley sell the hammer earstems alone for the X Metal XX. Gotta get a pair of those for my juliets.

As far as I know, no dice...I have tried and tried...I even asked about some from a warranty pair (several actually) I saw come through while I was there...

They wont sell just the hammers, unless you have a friend in warranty, but even then it might be hard.

Ah yes, The insider. Why doesn't Oakley just bow to our every whim?

I just got news from Oakley that the only way I was going to get the hammer earstems is if I bring the old ones to them for replacement and with valid warranty as well.

If it had one to bring in, i wouldn't need to apporach them in the first place. Duh!!

I've visited a couple of optometrists here in UK and they said 'No, we cant touch Oakleys. Only Oakley can do that. So if u want to get it done, u can send your lens to them for free (postage) & they will deliver it back to u for free'. (and the lady was showing a hard paperbox where u put your lens in for delivery).

She also gave me the number to call for further details, i.e. price wise? Its 01462 475400 (UK).

Hope that helps (^o^)

does that mean that Oakley will cut the lenses for you for free then?

Hardly. And they certainly won't cut you a custom lens unless you go through Rx.
