For some reason (prolly TV sports) - I've always associated oakleys with wires (in particular square wire 2.0s) - so 8 pairs later (sold a few along the way) I still can't get rid of the urge to buy more

I prefer big glasses so I love my Warden gold/vr28. Crosshait looks cool but I look better on Warden.

i've come prefer my e-wire 2.1 for daily use over plates since they feel less bulky and look almost as nice with the ruby lenses.

also, my girlfriend fell in love with my plates and won't give them back. but whatever.

I love the wires. sq 2.0 sh. Next pair will be half wire xl. The only one I wasnt crazy about was the wiretap. Maybe because it didnt have spring hinges. Have several o matter frames but really like wires.Not as wild.

I'm bringing this back up because I've been a Wire kick lately, especially the older models....A Wires, SW 2.0, E Wire 2.1, etc. I love the fact that the Wire line is the most adjustable of all Oakley glasses and the fit is almost universally perfect because of it.

I really don't like the old wires like the square wire 2.0, the a and e-wire, they're just to small (in my opinion not really usable as sunglasses - for me). But I love my Crosshairs, they're definately my most worn shades.

I love wires, o-matter, and x-metals equally. I have some of all the different types, it just depends on what works for me. So the answer I guess is "yes", I love wires.

theres only a few wire design that I like. square wires and half wires and why2. exactly why i only have like 3 wires. I wear those if I just wanna feel comfy almost like im not wearing anything

I prefer wires above all else, especially the "classy" frames (any of the Whys, Crosshair, Square Wire 3.0, etc.). Maybe I'm just boring that way, but the O Matter shades don't hold much appeal for me, and the X Metals don't fit me properly.

I like some wires depending on fit. Some of my favorites are the A wires and Crosshairs.

I can't stand not having my Why 8.2's anymore...I think they might be my 1-year anniversary on the o-review gift to myself. I see it only as proper as they are the reason I found this place.

I prefer wires above O matter in almost every way; yet there are some O matter frames like the "Plate, OTT, Oil Drum, Moon, that I can appreciate due to design.

I'm so biased. I can't say that I love any one type over any other. However, I think the Wire frames, as mentioned, are much more classy and professional looking. My favorite Wires being the Why 3. Lightweight, very slick looking, but unfortunately, very expensive.

I think wires and o-matter glasses are made for another purpose. But I have to admit, I like the C-5 alloy much much better.

I do think it is that wire rim glasses are more common and accepted for adult wear. Also, that it is or was more common that children wear plastic framed glasses than adults do and from that a bias is formed.
