O-xide : Did you find out how many pieces there are in Juliets when you dismantled them? They say it's 25 pieces but I can't see more than 10 from outside.

Let's see:

Nosebridge - 1
and two of the following
Rivet
Orbital
Orbital washer
Orbital screw
Earstem
Earstem washer (four in total, actually)
Earstem screw
Nosebomb
Temple shock
Lens
Earsock

I think that's 25. Am I right about the washers?

at these photos it looks very simple to change the nosebridge. but you made a list of all tools you need for changing, how many were at them?

Good one O-x. You're right, I forgot the flex coupler rubber. I also didn't realize how many washers were in there.

Fascinating!

Glad to see the parts in Juliets.
I've always wondered the structure of Juliets.
I will never be able to do that, though.

Hey Cal....i'm very intrigued by the customs...there's one thing i still don't get, how do you get the rivets back in after dismantleing? do i need new rivets or just use the same old revets? will they still fit in place after you hit them out?? GREAT stuff there!!thanks!!!

if you can preserve the rivets after drilling/punching them out then you can reuse it. but take note, Tensile strength will not be the same. Otherwise, you need someone who can supply you aircraft aluminum grade dome rivets, a pneumatic gun, buckling block and etc with lots of riveting experience. Good luck!

you still need a special tool to preserve the Dome Head shape of the rivets. Another one thing you will need is a 2 part metal epoxy to hold the rivets in place. This method is not really recommended but if you are desparate then it's an alternative.
