Lots of cool stuff that I don't remember...

https://www.pietsp.com/collections/oakley-2023

But you all know my memory is crap though. So some of these things could have been in existence for a while now. But slip-on Teeth? Metal 2.0 tee? Skull Industrial Denim? I know a few of these things were mentioned/shown in the press release but some are a surprise to me.

I'm tempted but the shipping ($50 to the U.S.) is kinda a deal breaker. I guess it depends how bad you want it though.

Is this pushed until next year or part of whatever is supposedly happening tomorrow?

The single dumbest thing Oakley has ever put out (even though it was this year’s GWP for the holiday season):

At first I thought there was a production error on that specific sample since it was half done, but they’re intentionally like that by the street artist.

One is now on eBay for an absurd amount:

Products featured within the short films also serve a greater purpose. Max is seen wearing Medusa, a legacy product reimagined as a digital concept to fit his pursuits in a virtual world.

The digital world also informs the real, with the 13:11 sunglasses inspired by those Maxine wears in the trailers, becoming a reality and launching in 2024.

Maxine...did they hire someone from Disney recently? If they start going woke with their marketing it's not going to go well.

Did anyone receive a Space Encoder yet? I got mine and there was no microbag. Wondering if this was a mistake.

I've been working seasonal at the Oakley store in KOP (Philly) and I thought the same thing when I saw them. The paint is on the plastic wrapper and flakes off onto everything.

Anyone play the Future Genesis game on Oakley.com? Have you figured out what the year for each product represents? I’m too lazy to go back through the process to find out. We know they aren’t product release dates to consumers since the OTT didn’t come out in 1999, the Mars didn’t come out in 1996, the Thump didn’t come out in 2003 and Kato didn’t come out in 2020.

Are they the year internal product development started?

Guess they are officially more than just a render after all.

What a hassle. Called CS to tell them I didn't get the microbag. The agent said she wasn't sure if it came with one since it wasn't mentioned in the website description. I told her I've been purchasing Oakley sunglasses since 1990 and have always received a baggie. She put me on hold for 10 minutes and still couldn't confirm it. I told her I found a picture someone posted with the box and matching baggie. She said she couldn't take a forum post as a basis point. I called NYC store to confirm. Called back and reordered, told them to give me free expedited shipping. Their system cannot do that but once it is processed I can call back to have the $17 premium shipping refunded. Now I have to return the one I have to the KOP store. If they would have shipped it to more than just the flagship stores I wouldn't have this issue.

Wow, that is horrible CS on their part.

I went through each, and it must be the year they started development, since they appear to consistently be about a year before the official record we have. Most of the renderings seem to be the modern equivalents, but I guess they have those 3D files on hand.
